Tobias I think is the unsung hero in this show for the fact he could deliver such a tour-de-force acting considering he played two distinct and different characters. Gotta say it, I think the real love story is between Jamie and Jack. There I said it.

Loved the “nod” to their baby by Caitronia, she smelt Sam , looked up and said Do you have a new borne baby? He responded, did you get that, Sophia dissolved into giggles, the rest looked at floor and ceiling. Said it all.
Tobias Menzies' performance as villain was so extraordinary, I'm just shocked that this interviewer completely ignored him. Dear me. What is it they say? "It takes a great villain to make a great hero," and Menzies was superb, making Sam's performance in those episodes SO poignant. No Outlander villain has since come close. More's the pity.
I have a hard time separating Tobias from his two characters - dislike both Black Jack and Frank so much. It’s good to see him as himself. He is a great actor and I admire him for agreeing to play such unpleasant roles.
I think the whole cast is great but the interviewer needed to talk about Tobias and Frank's relationship w Claire and his death/ WTH p he is an amazing actor and should be ticked off that instead she did the stupid Sam's scent and Sam's hug. Sam deserves much more honor than given in awards, but the juvenile questions of most TV interviewers is boring and slights another fabulous actor!!

I've never seen Sam and Sophie in the same room. They really do look alike. I also love how they both are letting their red hair grow back to natural brown in the off season.
It does not take away the fact, that Sophie is such a bad actor! And even worse: there is no chemistry between her and Roger. Regarding looks - jamie and claires eyes are very blue, Brianna has got brown eyes???That stands out, it can not happen in nature - hair can always be colored

Sophie and Richard are 10 years apart in age and I suspect don’t have that much in common where as Sam and Cait are of a similar age and can find thinks in common easier.

Great actors , I can't stop watching over and over again , but it's Diana's thoughts I'd love to hear , it's her emotions and her thoughts , in her writing she has lived this life of want and passion. Their Wentworth Prison scenes were just stunning and a masterclass in acting. I've rewatched those episodes I think a million times trying to see the seam in the acting. What I mean by that is sometimes you can see the actor being actorly. Not with these two during those grueling episodes. Sam as the Christ-like figure in Jamie and Tobias as Satan personified in Jack was just epic. I miss that Jack isn't there anymore as that Javert to Jamie's Jean Val Jean. So yes, I would love to have seen more of Tobias and I think it was shortsighted of Diana to have killed Jack off so readily as to render the rest of the series without a true foil to Jamie.
Why does Claire constantly dig in her head? I love the show and hated Black Jack, but now in real life I feel he is being cheated on attention. It’s all about Sam and Caitriona. Tobias just stands in the background and grins.

actually she is being her 20th century badass self - and that's exactly what brings her into problems in the 18th century.
Claire saved Jamie's ass. Without her, he would have been dead in episode 1 and you'd had no story.
