I changed the strings today and just couldn’t help myself but to record a video and share with you how the guitar sounds. The strings I put are the usual Solera Flamenca “Concierto” which are my favorite of theirs. Enjoy the video, Cheers! Luciano
It sounds amazing, like Vicente's Manuel Reyes in Memoria de los sentidos, it has nice buzzing, can be powerful and aggressive but also very soft and beautiful when playing soft pulgar and tremolo
I had a chance to chat a bit with Lester Devoe and even had him build me a nice Blanca made of Turkish Cypress. I can tell you firsthand he is an amazing builder pays tremendous attention to detail and knows his business very very well. Great player with a great guitar, you remind me Vicent Amigo
Exquisite quality my friend. You keep refining the smallest of details. Your Vicente's are marvelous. Your original material too. I'd like to see more Antonio's (like Paseando, Un Sueno Contigo Alma). Huge amount of appreciation and respect for you (from Palestine, you should come by the way...)
Almeno a me (nel mio piccolo) succede così. Auguri di buon anno e continua così. Un saluto anche ai tuoi!
Amazing as always maestro! Your sound is amazing! To my guitar the concierto is a little bit hard on the 2nd and 3rd strings, so I plan to try the Alma set which I think is going to match better with my guitar and my strength.
I'm fairly sure Vicente himself plays d'addario ej45s (the plain old regular tension set). imo the solera flamenca strings (while they sound great being played by Luciano) aren't as lively as just about any other string ive tried. there's a guy on yt who records, side by side, flamenco strings for comparison, and that seems to be the case in his videos, as well. I'm curious as to the answer to your question, too, though.
So good! Man, you should have 10 X as many subscribers. I have a question regarding flamenco guitars. What is a good guitar for someone who is an experienced player but new to flamenco and not at the stage or budget for a Luthier guitar, but still wants to get a good instrument to see them through a few years? Do you know of Vicente Sanchez model 33. Is it worth looking at. Thankyou for posting such great content Luciano.
Yamaha cg 171/172sf are really inexpensive, but immensely playable. The action on mine is as low as any flamenco guitar would ever need to be and the sound isn't bad. (it was at 2.8 from the factory and I've lowered it--again--maybe down to 2.5mm). the trebles are very clear. You could spend 3x as much getting a comparable guitar from another company. Used, you're looking at like $250 in any case, it won't be the setup of the guitar that holds you back from progressing.
@@brin57 I get an used Hermanos Sanchis Lopez model "Buleria" for 1100,- €. New price is around 3000,- €. I am very satisfied with that guitar. I recommend always a second-hand guitar, but I dont know what the market looks like in Australia...
The improvisation over Guadameci, starting round about at minute 1 in the video, its not sounding as good as his recording in a former video: ua-cam.com/video/Up6JWEo42kU/v-deo.html. For my taste the strings are too "crispy" - the bass-strings sounds too "clear" in meaning of "high". It sounds less negra...
I could listen to you for a year straight. Eating and bathroom breaks, but that;s it. Every note counts, you are in those notes as a single point of attention, and it seems like you are reaching for the MUSIC you hear rather than trying to play the guitar. The gap between what you hear and the way it falls through your hands and out of the guitar, seems very small. Man...

Hi, so they have Vicente Amigo concierto and these Solera concierto. What would be your choice and what is really the difference?

a question for the ages
@@mackhomie6I already have an inexpensive Katoh(Martinez) KF. I am wanting a quality beyond beginner, preferably Spanish. Budget $1500-$2000 AUD.
