Esooooooooooooo! Remember that one time we snuck backstage and watched him sound check, and we got to talk to him and he joked with us that the sound was crap on stage? :P Eternal memories... :)
This is the best and only memory I have of him man, he seemed to be actually happy and smiled after we all yelled "Ole!!" to his remate. How humble can a person be? Incredible.

What a memory of Paco. According to UA-cam ''experts'' this is a simple piece. I think Paco would agree the composition is a simple concept, but to make a ''cover'' of this is harder than it appears. You've made it very much your own, authentic, yet not a carbon copy. Very nice to hear this. The luthier made an excellent choice of timber - lovely medullary rays, great tone.
I read recently on Wikipedia that apparently Paco didn't compose this piece but improvised it!
I too think it's brilliant even though it's not as technically demanding as his other pieces. Maybe it's this thoughtless act that made it brilliant.

@@duraidh7299 The thing about Entre dos Aguas is while 92% of it is not technically demanding almost at all, the rest 8% of picados requires a lifetime of practice to achieve making it actually the hardest pieces I know.

@@duraidh7299 Yes. You are correct that he improvised the piece. It was an after thought because vinyl albums were a certain duration and Paco didn't have enough material for the album. So, this is what he came up with. But the artistry is his musicality. Many people can play as fast (faster) but they lack the musicality. Even if they copy him, they can get the right notes but wrong feel.
I refer to it as a composition because he authored it and some classical composers, there construction of pieces were also improvised on the spot, then written down. I love young enthusiasm for Paco's more demanding work. I followed him since Almoraima. Paco was a great mind and brought so much to the art.

After shooting the video I cut them Haha
They sometimes reach the length where they get actually longer than my right hand, it's crazy. But since my nails are placed mostly on the back of my fingertips they need to grow a lot until they actually get in the way of my playing.
