The only thing bad about this attraction is that it's currently closed during the pandemic... But i'm totally looking forward to riding this attraction once all the disney parks reopen :D
The tunnel has '1928' on it. This could be a reference to the year when the Mickey Mouse Cartoon 'Plane Crazy' was released, which featured the first appearance of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
the mickey and Minnie head designs look off to me they look too round. they look like a pingpong ball. If they added some slight bends to the shape it would look alot better to me.
The ride looks super cute, but you can tell they were just touching up and reusing the Chinese theater interior for the line- I feel like at about 1:00 you see stains on the carpet they couldn’t get out. I can’t imagine replacing carpet would’ve been too expensive when you’re making an all new ride?
Very cute family attraction. But depending on where you're sitting, you miss major plot points of the ride/story. Especially from the tornado room to the island, and how and why Mickey and Minnie are trying to help you get out of the Factory. And there's a HUGE missed opportunity with the tornado room and NOT having the cars spin around it like at the end of Mystic Manor. The song, which was touted as FINALY giving the public an attraction with it's own theme song, is pretty bland.
Some scenes were painted with ultraviolet paint but also the only real screen is Goofy because the rest is just projections to make it seem like a cartoon or for the rubber hose animation style movements of the characters.
From a ride full of animatronics, live actors, and special effects..........to one full of projections and screens. Even the new animatronics are the budget ones with projections. Agreed Daisy's Waltz section seems fun but the rest is just nothing special. Very very sad.
I think dark days are coming for The Walt Disney Company. We never heard the reason Iger resigned immediately and Chapek has no imagination, Mayer should be CEO instead.
Ok seriously WHY do people hate this animation style? I’ve actually watched both the original 2013 run AND the new Wonderful World Followup on Disney plus. They’re really fun and energetic. Look as much as I enjoyed the Mouseworks animation shorts, they were still kinda stock. They didn’t want to paint their star icon as anything but happy go lucky even when things went wrong. But the new one calls back to a time when Walt wasn’t afraid to let his mouse get down and dirty into mischievous acts which lead to zany antics. It’s exactly what I wanted when they brought back this type of Mickey for “Epic Mickey” I don’t want my toon heroes to be perfect ALL the damn time, let them slip up some! That’s what made them golden to begin with. Save the “clean” colorful Mickey for Disney Junior and bring on THIS Mickey for the whole audience
This probably wouldn’t be so bad if it was built in fantasy land in the magic kingdom. Seems to share alot of look and feel of winnie the pooh and it’s a small world. The problem is it’s not there - it’s center stage in Hollywood. Ever if it didn’t replace such a fan favorite i think it would still be too crappy of a ride to anchor the park. Unfortunately while i have a feeling it will never become the hit Disney wants, it will always have attendance since there will be plenty of people looking for shorter wait lines in between e ticket fast pass rides. Disney should have never closed the great movie ride. They could have easily revamped it with newer fresher movies that both kids would enjoy and that they owned the rights to. Indy could have stayed but they could have added a great star wars scene - imagine a lightsaber battle using the newest a-1000 animatronics. How about a large Avengers scene (or other marvel property if problems using likeness from universal). Mary Poppins, Muppets, and of course all their disney animated and pixar movies. Then buying Fox opened up a huge vault of classics that would have certainly fit well into the overall multi decade theme of the movie ride. And while they may not have been willing to fully commit to using fox properties until the signed the paperwork, im sure the talks were in the pipeline long enough to plan for it and contingencies in a GMR revamp. Yes there would have been many who would miss the classics, but if they were able to do it right using sets with live animatronics and minimal screens (unlike this new mickey ride) then i think fans would have both accepted and really enjoyed it. As it stands, this new ride is a huge letdown in just about every way 👎🏻
What do you think of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway?
The only thing bad about this attraction is that it's currently closed during the pandemic... But i'm totally looking forward to riding this attraction once all the disney parks reopen :D
This is my 3rd time seeing this ride. It's so beautiful. I can't wait to see in person.
This attraction is AMAZING!!! Easily going to become one of my favorites!! I think I am in love 😍❤
The tunnel has '1928' on it. This could be a reference to the year when the Mickey Mouse Cartoon 'Plane Crazy' was released, which featured the first appearance of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
I thought "Steamboat Willie" was the first cartoon to premiere Mickey and Minnie...
@@fernandoespindola3875 That was their first public appearance. They first appeared during a test screening of Plane Crazy.
2:22 hidden mickey in the tree.
There’s also one in the clouds
I wish I could be there (-_-)
Wish more of the figures were on the same level as the Daisy animatronic, Pete looks way too flat by comparison.
its a cartoon, If anything it should look flat.
They're trying to go with the cartoonish style
@@Sky2theRim u were talking about Stinky Pete from Toy Story.
@@dumbotrilogy1177 No i'm talking about Pete the one drilling..
He’s supposed to look like that, a cartoonish body
It’s a Great Ride, My only problem with it is too much screens and A Flat Pete. The rest is really good! Thanks Disney! And Did I see AdamTheWoo?
All Vloggers
I agree
I think u are talking about Stinky Pete from Toy Story 2.
Dumbo trilogy Pete, the one in the drilling scene I think.
I like the transition from the underwater section to the sewers.
4 minutes quickly walking to board ride. First riders all Vloggers?
Is that Adam the Woo in front of you
I barely noticed him at like 3:12
It totally is!
In the red shirt?
@@TheAnchorArmsChad Yes I believe so
It's like walking into a cartoon

The Great Movie ride reopened as Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway.
Thanks Captain Obvious...
And...
@@jerrym2513 i think u are thinking of Dumbo and Toy Story.
@@ethrawn373 Nala is my first female character in the Dumbo franchise.
@Dumbo trilogy What the toon are you talking about?!
This trap door trick shows how good Disney is at there job 2:28
Do you know how they did it?
No
@@CrazyEmma_roblox ok
The screen actually shifted up and the hole must have been below the floor.
I think the blast in the wall while you're in the queue line was the best part. The ride it self looked ok!
Seems like a fun ride
Wonderful. Thank you.

Love the waltz section!!! That was absolutely ingenious! The rest of it is eh. They could have easily updated the great movie ride to be like this
I like to know where the steam engine reappears. Fantastic detail
Same!
why were people clapping like you just got back from landing on the moon?
It was the grand opening of the ride!
Wanna bet Epcot’s United Kingdom attraction will have a similar attraction with the animated world in Mary Poppins ride?
WASNT that all but confirmed?
Could’ve sworn I heard it somewhere I may need to check again
Was that Adam the Woo and World of Micah?
Yep sure was I saw the same thing as well
Michael Pearson They were also on the ride at the same time as Josh and Jenna from Resort TV1.
You guys missed a part when Mickey and minnie pack up. They forgot about that part.
@RYAN JOHNSON they meant the full preshow cartoon that lead to the hole in the projector screen
My god, it's full of screens.
It’s really not. They’re physical sets and they have projections on them to enhance the scenes.
Cheap is in style at theme parks right now
Some scenes were painted with ultraviolet paint but also the only real screen is Goofy because the rest is just projections to make it seem like a cartoon or for the rubber hose animation style movements of the characters.
Be glad it’s not universal screens, 😳😳😳
You have no idea how difficult and expensive it is to make an attraction like this
Dang that stinks but looks cool
💖
Lol lots of ppl are recording xDD
DEXTER VS KEVIN LEVIN
I wonder how they made the cartoon to reality rip? Who else wonders?
Projectors, ultra florescent paint, and black lights.
John Meskens the wall just pulls up but the animation of the smoke leads your eye away from the movement
Must we Californians wait 2 more years
Joshua Orro yes, it’s not so bad.
Or fly to Orlando like almost everyone else has to do.
Watched it 3 times boy do I miss the great movie ride 👎
Donald Shartzer 100% agree!!!!
boomers coming out the wazoo in the comments huh
More like Adam the Wazoo.

No thanks. I like the idea but Minnie and Mickey look too different. Bring back the Great movie ride!!!!!
It’s actually based on the new Mickey cartoons from around 2 years ago.
