Hey matt! All X3s atm are missing out on wireless charging in Australia due to the chip shortage Normally they would have it - also adaptive cruise has been dropped from some models temporarily
@@jasonleon1976 agreed seeing that the original came out in Sept 2019 and bmw's new design language had already started! My only take on that is that they wanted to ensure that x3m is liked by the enthusiast
I bought an X5 4.8is 2004 for one tenth of X3M 2022 price.. I bet 4.8is is going to be a future classic! Dimensions and the drive is as good as this new X3M :)
If you want to drive in even relatively bearable comfort for your passengers or use as a true daily go x340i. Test drove both back to back at main dealer before buying the x340i
Hey Matt, such a nice review! Gave my "like" to. Got a question on suspension / stiffness though. BMW claimed they tried to push suspension mode farther from each other, i.e. making "Comfort" more comfy while Sport / Sport+ sportier. Did you notice anything like this? I believe during the gravel test you were in Sport mode, but what's about the Comfort one, how was it?
That was comfort mode actually! I set up the suspension to be comfort, and engine to be sport 😊 I’ll admit, it’s just a firmer ride. It’s more about the suspension setup then just the dampening of them. The flip side of course is this thing would be awesome on a track haha!
@@CarSauce cool, thanks. but what do you think - is it firmer than the setup on lower-sitting cars like M3? Just trying to understand if it's comfy enough for everyday usage without visiting a racetrack at all. Higher clearance attracts!
@@msimon84951$89k actually lol. I’m picking up a used 2022 X3M comp this week for just over 70k but original sticker was just at 89k. Original owner got every option and then some extra stuff added from the m performance parts catalog.
Nice engine but the car is really too stiff also in comfort mode, was trying it The X3 m40I could be an excellent compromise for whom want more comfort 😉
Great review as always! Yes, amazing car, true feat of German engineering ... in saying that, who can afford to buy this? base config its $173K driveaway !!! and yes its cheaper than GLC63s however thats a different beast as its a twin turbo V8 so not comparable really.

Mate, you are by far the funniest car reviewer in aus, maybe even youtube. Great videos!
Thank you!

Nice review. I like the facelift look 👌. I'm keen to find out if that extra 50nm has made a difference over the none facelift
So much so that I ordered one. The update is what the original should have been👌

The Straight Pipes pulled off a MASSIVE 0-100 IN 3.6 SECONDS!!!
Just picked up a new X3 M40i, all the performance you could wish for with a comfortable ride when in comfort mode. Oh and £30k cheaper!
What is included in the on-road costs figure? Is this insurance, fuel, and maintenance?

Nice joke. We want another one please...
in america this car is $80,000 to 85,000 after options
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻👏🏻, One of of the best cars bmw has ever made !
I love the new design on its rear but prefer old X3m comp front facia. The new design looks like a smiley face staring at you...
I’ll take a 22 Macan GTS with the air suspension and keep 25k in my back pocket.

Great to reperpose that drivetrain.

If you think the inline six on the S58 is not comparable to the twin turbo V8... then you are out of the loop.
