I have an ‘22 X3M comp. Enjoy every mile. I always hear people say how stiff the ride is but I don’t find that to be the case at all. If you’re considering I wouldn’t let that scare you away. It is exactly what I’d expect from an M car. Get a 1982 Cadillac if you want to float everywhere.

You crazy. Porsche is the better brand, better engineers, better build quality, more respected, and hold value better. Unless you are going on looks alone, then it should be Porsche every day of the week.

X3M is larger and you can put a mountain bike in the back with the wheel still on it with the seats down. My BMW dealer gave me an X4M Competition as a loaner. I loved it and maybe it’s because I’m old (44), I didn’t think it was particularly stiff. Some of the cars I drove as a kid were buckets of bolts.
Great review.. I just purchased a 2023 X3 M40i and I love it.. Not as powerful as the full on M but the power it delivers with the crackling sound never gets old. Thanks for the excellent review on the M!

I would go for the X3MC. It looks better and is more practical. Stiff suspension rarely bothers me since I daily sports cars...it just reminds you that you're in something special.
The area you referred to as the wireless charging is actually used as a location to set the other “keys” for the vehicle (phone or card key) in order for them to be recognized. Not all are equipped with wireless charging. I made this mistake on my 4 series
My neighbor has a similarly spec'd X3m in that amazing army green color, except he has the yellow headlights and some other parts of the grill blacked out and its one of the nicest specs ive ever seen on an x3m and its one of the few cars that ive seen with those yellow headlights where it actually looks good and actively makes the car look nicer.
So I was debating this for a while. Ultimately ended up with the 2023 X3M Comp. I LOVE Porsche. But at this price point and it being daily driver SUV, I want the creature comforts like heads up display, digital gauge cluster, ambient lighting, and more space. Porsche doesn't offer that in the GTS and it's still more money, and the rear seats in the Macan are laughable and not good for any road trips or 6' people. I would forego all the creature comfort stuff I just said if we were talking about a 911 which is an incredible beast, but we're not. This is a daily driver comparison and you won't take it on twisty roads most of the time. Just my two cents.

And yes it’s stiff but that’s just the price you pay for having an SUV handle and keep up with sedans and sports cars. Plus it is totally fine for road trips and stuff. Done plenty already. @@WillFrankling yes those were my thoughts exactly. And the GTS is just a bit more expensive than the X3M with less power and less features it just didnt make sense to me. The X3M has any tech feature I could want personally. Highly customizable Heads up display, carplay, heated/cooled seats, panoramic sunroof, idrive 7 (better than 8 imo), digital dash, etc. Very happy with it and it looks aggressive.
I have an X3 M40i and absolutely love it. X3 M competition's suspension was just too much for me and I prefer the torque at lower RPM's on the B58 as well. Still X3M is a sick car, can'y go wrong with it.
I now put a stage 2 tune on it, just cause I was curious what that extra *oomph* would feel like but most of the time I drive it in eco pro, as it's actually my dog's car. I'm just lucky enough to be his driver from time to time.. @@s2000killa1

Awesome performance for the price. I’ve heard this is one of the hardest riding vehicles on sale though, that would be a deal breaker. No reason for a family suv to ride like a GT3RS
I have one and its really not as bad as people say* Running staggered 265/40/21 295/35/21. On my "winter" set of AS4+ and it drives fine for me and the people in the back. I wouldnt let that hold you back.

My parents actually both own Bmw’s with “M sport packages” on them and they both ride fine. I’ve just heard this new gen X3 rides especially harsh…
@@jakes5530 They did a much better job on the lci version at soften the suspension. Also, with the p4s, lower psi, and 20 inch wheels will make it night and day. If you get a chance I highly recommend go test one out and see.

I have a 22 X3 M40i and absolutely love it! Very balanced… The trick with these M cars is to ditch the Run-Flats ASAP, because they’re absolutely terrible. Makes a huge improvement with ride quality.

Owned both, had 2 GTS (22/23) both great cars, but the chassis and suspension setup on the GTS is borderline witchcraft. Incredibly compliant in normal road, all down to the fact it has Porsches air suspension. Stick air on the X3M, which is what they should of done, I know which one I’d be choosing. GTS FTW
I’ve owned both as well. Old lady totaled my 2019 GTS and I was heartbroken. When I went to order another and I was facing a $121k vs $83k for the X3MC it became an easy choice. The Porsche suspension is BOUNDS better, but otherwise I’m very happy with the purchase and with the excess insurance payout I’ve ordered a Boxster Spyder.
True story...... I drove a 911 turbo s hard up to 310kmh, 640hp so quite fast, great handling...... Today i drove a f12, that is a ferrari v12 if you did not know......731hp, also very fast and rwd only. I own a 2020 x3m c, and i'm not kidding when i say, my car is freaking amazing for 1/3rd the price and has much better tech than both the other cars combined, its (only) 500hp but bmw is always very conservative with their hp numbers. The x3m is such a capable quick fast car and has lots of room. Ok in a perfect world i would have the f12 as well, but my biggest point here is, i dont miss not having one, but the f12 sound is something else and addictive, but my x3m in a parking garage giving full throttle is pretty impressive, yes its a huge long garage....btw......so love my x3m c.

This is pretty much an suv version of the m3 which I love, In snowy places it’s tough to drive a car so if you want an m3 but live somewhere snowy, this is a good substitute

Are you ceiling Hex lights RGB or just plain White? Because being able to use hues to emphasize or deemphasize aspects of the video will look cool. Just the ceilings. No additional side wall lights and all that visual noise.

Great video! I just placed an order for one in Marina Bay Blue. I decided against the comp pkg so that I could get the 20"s for a slightly smoother ride. I've had bad experiences with 21" wheels on the crappy roads that I daily drive. Also that "Umbrella holder" in the floor of the trunk is actually to store the retractable cargo cover in case you put down all the rear seats and want the cargo cover bar out of the way. My current X3 M40i has the same. Will also add that I had a Macan S before the M40i and although the Macan S was a great driver it lacked a lot of utility that the X3 offers.
I just ordered the x3mc today in carbon black. I couldn't decide to get the regular x3m or the x3mc. I didnt get the drive pro package or whatever and saved 1700 that brought the difference between a x3m with executive and pro drive package and the x3mc with exdcutive and no pro drive to about 2500 dollard difference
I recently sold my BMW 320i, I bought about 5 years ago. Not working and starting a company and looking forward to get a New BMW. I was thinking a 2022 or 23 M4, but this SUV is killer. I’m trying to decide between the the Macan GTS and x3m the problem is you can’t walk into a Porsche dealer and buy a GTS, they don’t have them so I’m leaning towards the X3M. I’d love to know if anyone else has had this experience. I live in the Bay Area Ca. It just doesn’t make sense
I’m stuck between both as he listed. I don’t have any kids or wife yet, so I don’t see the back seat being used often as it’s a bit less room vs x3 m. All my friends and family have their own cars also.🤣 In terms of raw power, I am not an aggressive driver nor do I think I will ever need that much horsepower in regards to the competition level. Suggestions anyone? Price isn’t the problem but what’s more practical?
6:18 - No. There are no 17 different M's. There are a lot of M-powered cars; I, too, have an X5 M50d - which is not an M. You actually can differentiate them by the manufacturer's code in the car's documents. BMW (and all M powered) cars are "0005" while all true M cars are "7909". That being said, there are currently the following true M's: M2, M3, M4, M5, M8, X3M, X4M, X5M, X6M, XM.
Macan GTS is underpowered now that the Turbo variant is gone... My tuned X3M40 makes the same power as the top shelf Macan for so much less money. Bring the Turbo back and then we'll talk X3M vs Macan

Pound for pound $$€€ and what I examined/asked as my X3M was getting Expelled wrapped at the same time as a GTS; BMW M definitely is top 🔝

I’m trying to decide between the the Macan GTS and x3m the problem is you can’t walk into a Porsche dealer and buy a GTS, they don’t have them so I’m leaning towards the X3M. I’d love to know if anyone else has had this experience. I live in the Bay Area Ca. It just doesn’t make sense

Porsche if it’s a 22 or greater. The buttons down the gear shifter drive me crazy on the older ones.
I understand the Porsche would be favored based on ride quality alone.

x3 m. All my friends and family have their own cars also.🤣 In terms of raw power, I am not an aggressive driver nor do I think I will ever need that much horsepower in regards to the competition level. Suggestions anyone? Price isn’t the problem but what’s more practical?

6:18 - No. There are no 17 different M's. There are a lot of M-powered cars; I, too, have an X5 M50d - which is not an M. You actually can differentiate them by the manufacturer's code in the car's documents. BMW (and all M powered) cars are "0005" while all true M cars are "7909". That being said, there are currently the following true M's:
M2, M3, M4, M5, M8, X3M, X4M, X5M, X6M, XM.
BMW is absolutely killing it. Their new design language is basically saying, F**** Y****, I'm here to pillage, plunder and eviscerate my competition.

Macan all day every day-the ride is horrible on the bmw unless you wanna go to your chiropractor three days a week.

Macan GTS is underpowered now that the Turbo variant is gone... My tuned X3M40 makes the same power as the top shelf Macan for so much less money. Bring the Turbo back and then we'll talk X3M vs Macan
