Nice video! I just ordered a 2022 X4 M Competition after driving it and the x3 M Competition. The ride was very nice in Comfort and Sport and Sport was pretty much like my M4. I also drove a 2021 X3 M Competition and found the ride in Comfort to be too stiff. In the 2022 Comfort was better than the 2021 version and my M4. Everything about this updated version looks really nice and in the end I just preferred the overall looks of the X4 M Competition.
@@vraj3966 I haven't noticed any body roll so about like the M4. The tire pressure was set to the over 100mph values and I dropped it to the less than 100mph value. It did help with soften the ride a bit. My wife says it's fine and much better than the M4 ride.
@@kenh4536 How is the noise transmitted through the suspension over bumps ? I had two 2020 X3Ms, but sold them as the wife didn't like the ride as well as "jumpy" throttle. Would go back into one if the suspension and noise was better, I did hear with a software upgrade the drivability improved.

For the street the value should be set to the manual specified less than 100mph value of 33/38 for maximum comfort. If you still don’t like the ride you can opt for the Michelin 4S OM Star rated tires. Some posters have reported a better ride quality over the Continental’s. Other posters reported significant ride improvement after switching to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season UHP tires that come standard on the new Corvette and Macan. If they are good enough for them they should be fine for the X3/4 M Competition. On my 2022 X4 M Competition the ride has improved throughout the break in period. I dropped the tire pressure to the less than 100 value which made the ride much better daily driver around town. Over time I noticed the ride has progressively improved. I read somewhere to leave it in comfort for the first 1200 miles which I am doing. Around the 700 mile mark I started getting heads up messages saying uneven pavement ahead on some rough road surfaces such a train tracks and rough patches I previously drove over. It still is a little firm over some bumps and imperfections but not harsh. I currently have 1050 miles. I haven’t noticed any noise with any of the bumps. The throttle is very smooth probably due to the transmission change.

Your video helped me greatly when making my final decision on the interior color (was also considering the Tartufo or the Midrand Beige). Honestly I thought it was comfortable. In comfort mode it's more stiff then a basic X3, but comfortable for the daily driving in my opinion. I think everyone will want something different, so I'd drive one if you can to see if you like it. Some people say it's too harsh. But I'm so used to sportscars that this was very luxurious and comfortable in my mind.
I vent really been around that car. But I bet they are similar. Just a different take on the same class of car. Personally I'd buy the BMW since it will be reliable. I don't trust Jag lol

I'd go with the X3M! The Porsche Macan is a very nice car and I've been able to review one, but I think the BMW is more sporty and you get more for the money. I feel like the Porsche lacks some of the tech offered in the X3! Both are great though and really sporty SUV's, but I'm a fan of the BMW!

My mum’s 2019 X3 M40i sounds worlds better than this thing. They really neutered the exhaust tone and volume on the refresh. I thought the M would bring some of that back, but nope.
I think the 2020 year model was the last with the good sounding exhaust! We've noticed a few other brands have toned down the exhaust note and not sure if that's because of regulations or not, but with the M package, you think it'd have more grunt to it!

It's definitely a practical SUV, not sure why you don't think so. It's spacious for it's size and could be a great daily! I would agree with you on getting the M40 or even the M50i because you can tune that and get more power for a lot less!
get rid of the twin turbos and return to aspirated V8..and flush that gaudy faux pop-up screen inside the dash where it belongs..and maybe I might return to consider returning to owning an M..sorry guys I'm just anti- turbo$$$$
lol sounds like it. But these turbo engines are way more reliable then the V8 ever was. And makes so much more power. Those V8's are slow compared to what this I6 can do! So much more fun, and with some mods and tuning these make twice the power a V8 could ever make

The fender flares are painted white. I think that's there wider look for this. Looks much different in person then the normal X3

My dad had a 2019 X3 m40 and the sound was pretty nice but he switched to the X3M comp and I can confirm that the sound is way better
