Not only that, it short shifted for some reason. Can definitely get that 0-60 in 4.10 or less. My RS doesn’t short shift and goes all through the gear it starts on, wicked fast
I was only brave enough to do launch starts with traction control off and sport plus mode when I took it on a wide track. I'm not surprised you got really nervous on what is a narrow road. Too risky especially if the ground is greasy and you've got wheels spinning. Still. 4.2 seconds is fantastic.

I like to drive mine in sports + mode with traction control turned all the way off. If you haven't done it yet, hold the traction button down til the light on the dash says OFF. A lot of fun even just toolin around town. But a lot of fun on the highway. I highly recommend it
I get scared about turning the traction off! I span my Mazda a couple of times and couldn’t believe how fast it happens. I think with the C class being a longer wheel base it should be more controllable on the limit?!
@@CarThought don't be scared. I drive it all the time in good weather without it on and I hardly ever break the rear wheels free. All in throttle control 😉

Just the edit software, frame by frame! They do one called dragy, but the video was spontaneous because of the weather. I now drag race in the car so have some good data on how it runs, 60ft, 1/4 mile etc if you want to know more.

The ‘sport traction’ mode is actually brilliant, I used to drive mine in that mode at all times. It’s idiot proof, trust the car and the AMG programming. Invest in some PS4S tyres and you will get good grip, in the summer you can bury the throttle and it will hook up. Use S+ mode with sport traction mode together for the best performance.

Haha yes, balls of steel! However I do have some experience in drag racing and it’s a fairly predictable car! I agree 4.2 is good 👍

Only Dyno mode is fully off. But it doesn't take much to get it moving around. I haven't had the guts to try race start yet either.
Throw some Pilot Sport 4S’ on and you won’t have to worry about losing grip anymore 😁
