This excellent concerto inspired Dvorak to write his B minor masterpiece. They met numerous times whilst in the United States, and became friends. And boy the slow movement is right up there, makes me weep every time i hear it.
A woman can be talented AND elegantly gorgeous. Excellent in creating beautiful music demonstrating musical passion and technique -and dress!Comments about a woman’s dress are only and transparently remnants of our Puritanical patriarchal culture. 😢 Well done on all accounts in this performance!

But she does not need to humiliate herself by dressing and making her up like that. Unfortunately this is a problem of some femaile artists, especially in classical music -- probably caused by pressure from the public, business,...
Close your eyes; listen to Victor Herbert’s composition. Or Lynn Harrell playing the same concerto. One does not have to “listen” to her clothes. And - on another point - if you’ve got it, flaunt it. Go Girl.

If I had to choose between the Dvorák cello concerto and the Victor Herbert No. 2, it would be Herbert all the way!
