      Funny how ex Patriot coaches can't win as coaches on other teams. Almost like they learn nothing useful from Belichick. Many players that leave the Pats don't produce nearly as much. I figure out long ago, it's all about the greed with the NFL and the teams which can bring the ratings & revenue. Especially in the Super Bowl because those massive Super Bowl ad revenue is based on the previous year's Super Bowl ratings. Why do you think the Chiefs & Saints got jobbed in the conference championships last year? New England was a safe play and Los Angeles, the NFL craves that huge market. It sure does make sense when you think of it from a greed, thus corruption point of view. It's also why NE is somewhat protected by the NFL because it is one of their cash cows.

      @@DaleGribble1 Everyone else was back then too, it wasn't against the rules until 2006 I believe. I may be wrong on that latter part, but I'm aware of a memo that was sent to all NFL teams around that time, not just the Patriots. There were multiple instances of teams taking similar actions towards the Patriots in 2006 that I can remember off the top of my head -- the Jets and the Dolphins, though neither team was punished, fined, or investigated. After the memo was sent out, however, Goodell sent a clear message to the Pats by giving them the biggest punishment ever doled out to an organization, and I wouldn't argue that it wasn't deserved, just inconsistent.

    This must be said about the Patriots for the last 20 years:
    I know it might sound ironic, but there needs to be a full fledged documentary or movie detailing the ups and downs of this organization. So much has happened that’s good, but there’s so many bad things to come out of the dynasty as well. And I will add that’s it’s obviously a different kind of heartbreak than say a Browns or Lions fan. Let me put it this way: no other team has lost more Super Bowls this century than the Pats.

    • @starsportscards8688
      @starsportscards8688 5 років тому +1

    • @JB4628_1
      @JB4628_1 5 років тому

      Star Sportscards 100% the NFL really only cares about the revenue. Ratings are what sells more ads and that’s how you make the money. But don’t look too far into it. The NFL doesn’t pre plan the outcomes. In a perfect world, they would have the Cowboys in the Super Bowl at least once every few years. And just because the Rams are in Los Angeles doesn’t equal better ratings than the Saints. Saints fans are bonkers about football. And I’m not really sure how they screwed the Chiefs in the AFC title game last year, that’s a reach.

    • @starsportscards8688
      @starsportscards8688 5 років тому +1

      @@JB4628_1 The NFL doesn't pre-plan outcomes??? A ticky-tack foul here, a missed call there, YES, they can ALMOST predetermine outcomes of games at any time through the refs. Why do you think the Pats have gotten many of the calls or benefited from missed calls over the last 2 decades (and don't bring up the last game because the NFL fan world is celebrating that they finally got bit by a bad call). They have had some protection from the NFL because that franchise is one of their cash cows.
      Plus, I don't know how long you've observed football but the NFL has craved that Los Angeles market for decades but for some reason, it hasn't quite latched on but they continue to try because it is such a huge market to exploit more of their greed. You're going to find out there has been a ton of corruption in our culture over the last few decades and the NFL is going to end up being part of all of it of this whole corrupt culture. You'll thank me later when you see it all being exposed.

    • @JB4628_1
      @JB4628_1 5 років тому

      Star Sportscards Star Sportscards I’ve observed football for a very long time. I’m glad Kroenke moved to LA, that’s not my issue at all.
      When I watch the product on the field I have never once believed the refs were taking sides (aside from rarely the pressure of a home crowd) The speed of the game, the situational moment of the game, officiating is difficult. People don’t understand that. Should refs be held accountable? Hell. Yes. Corruption exists off the field (I will admit it absolutely exists) but it’s not something you see having an impact on a game. I haven’t missed a Pats game in decades and while they’ve gotten lucky, I don’t believe the NFL is making things easier for them. Just my thought.
