Just put a snaggletooth on it. That's what a lot of people do with their Recon 1s, Voyagers, etc.
Recon in Magnacut and the Return of the Arc Angel are great moves by CS!
If Cold Steel would build an OTF auto and a switchblade that would make Lynn proud, I would buy it for sure.

I'm so excited for this arc angel, I remember talking to cold steel 2-3 years ago about a new Bali, and they were talking about a Bali in research and development called the fallen angel, but either way I'm happy to see them coming back.
I think it's so funny to see cold steel make a good successor, while Benchmade is not only dropping the ball, but popping it before it even touches the ground. THIS, is the duality of knife companies. I will definitely be buying the arc angel when it drops, crossing fingers itll be even half as good as the og arc angels, if it does that I'll be happy, great job cold steel 🙏
And it looks truly old school, no gimmicky spring latch and such, they didn't even bother to put on a clip like the old one has, well, I really hope the pivot specs are exact the same, you know old AA folks are going to get the new one purely because we want to use that s35vn to replace the 1095cv one so it can be an actual carefree EDC knife.
@@joshchu oh I didn't even think of that, but yea that'd be so sick, I'm really happy with cold steel rn, especially for their pre order deal too. $5 upfront, and the rest is charged once the knife is shipped, so sick.
It's weird kinda... cus both Kai/ZT/Kershaw and Benchmade both seem to be trying to retain the "older" demographic of heavy SS balis. However Cold Steel in keeping up with just being always innovative have no problem doing an AL lighter weight bali.
Maybe I'm just reading too much in to it tho....

@@G0ATHR0B steel isn't necessarily a bad thing, the lucha did a lot of cool stuff considering it's price range, and honestly holds up as a great edc with its thin handles, but the lucha was also $100, the necron has no business being $450, there's nothing that justifies that price, but I digress. I'm really happy with cold steel just sticking with what worked, and tweaking it for the modern day. I wish Benchmade would follow in cold steels footsteps, and just re release the 4x series, they'd essentially be printing money, but for whatever reason, they won't.

And just to add to @joshchu point that is why I own a few 4x series over any AA's. I know my pure neglect would completely obliterate the non stainless blade steel.

Manila style balis had the latches on the safe handle. Differentiating them from "traditional" style balis.
In some examples both the clip and latch were on the safe handle side.
cold steel has been like my favorite knife company for a long time, i have since discoverd other great companies, but you wont catch me carrying or owning a 300 dollar benchmade when there are just as good of blades for a fraction of the price. Just got a swiss tech Wardig from walmart i looked it up prior and it is a beatiful well made razor sharp knife. i love my 4 inch Ti Lite with zytel grip from cold steel as well.
You don’t flick open an Espada by whipping it while you hold the scales. You open the Espada by quickly twisting the wrist while holding the scales. Try it.
I feel like Stick Man is keeping the Lynn Thompson way of thinking when it comes to Cold Steel knives and all things badassery. A lot of knives to love coming from CS this year.
They are all re-releases! Just copies of the past!
Can code steel please come out with more full-size serrated Tonto in a folder/flipper? They have one version out already, but it has plastic handles and they are prone to break and crack but other than that, the knife is awesome. All it needs is aluminum handles.

I was thinking Recon1 as well to buy OR new SOG Seal XR Folder(also in Magnacut).Hard to know which one to buy when they both come out onto the market.

On one hand I'm almost excited for the Arc Angel, but as soon as I heard the aluminum I did kind of groan a little bit to be honest. I guess if the price is good, can't be too fussy on it.
$140, so tbh, can't complain for an American made live blade, only thing im really crossing fingers for is 7075 aluminum handles, but I'm assuming they're gonna hit us with 6061, not a deal breaker but definitely would be nice to see otherwise.
latch placement on a balisong depended on where it was made , if made in Manila latch is on the safe handle if made in Batangas latch is on the bite handle.
have 2 original spectres with the g10 scales and san mai3 blades. i am very happy they brought it back!!!!!!! absolutely my favorite knife. i edc one and safe queen the other!!! i actually have the big 5 from cold steel. the custom series 5. spectre, caledonian edge, hatamoto, black sable, the talon. all nib. plus a natchez bowie in san mai 3 with a dundee rig sheath. the original cold steel products are the best!!!!!!!
love my Espada XL with the S35VN. I wish there were more colour for the handles with the S35VN.

I really hope the latch will be reversible on the arc angel. Who wants the latch on the safe handle.

I have a Spectre in san mai and black micarta ..I think its micarta .......I dropped $550 on it a couple years ago...been wishing id bought it since around 2010 so when it listed on Ebay..I just grabbed it !
Well this video answered one of my questions as to when C.S is going to bring back a Bali line and I get the Arc Angle which is super awesome but here is my second question when do we get an automatic mainly I would love to see an OTF but anything at this point would be awesome. Keep up the great work.

Love LOVE LOVE, my Espada LG. I edc it almost everyday. I would like an XL but the LG fits perfectly in my back pocket and not enough positive things are said about AUS-10! Wicked sharp and holds an edge. Built in Taiwan, our ally against CHINA! WIN WIN!
It was so easy to make this Caledonian into a front flipper (with the thumb stud). Missed opportunity
What is the name of the series shown after the espada? Have watched a couple of videos and neither mentiond the names of these knives.

No way, I emailed cold steel about making the frenzy smaller, 4 inches or smaller so you fan legally carry it. Never thought id see the say that something similar would actually come out.

That new Recon 1 is very exciting... the price tag, not so much. I understand it costing a little more because it's made in Italy. But, an extra $150 just because it's made in Italy? Fuck everything about that! I'm so glad I purchased a dozen Recon 1's back when they were still made with CTS-XHP steel. Who needs magnacut? CTS-XHP steel is stainless enough to use in salt water applications (just like magnacut is) and it has superior edge retention. I'm good.

I’d bet you three hound dollars over half the stuff in your house is made in china. Look at your television, phone , computer and most like your car or truck is made or has all the parts made in another country… but let draw the line a pocket knife! Yeah a knife is the point you draw the line… ha ha ha funny

Cold Steel doing Cold Steel stuff. Love it.
Cold Steel really did a tang pin balisong on aluminum handles...? This will get damaged very quickly and the handles will touch each other, the steel tang pin will dig into the aluminum handles, you need titanium or steel with the tang pin otherwise zen pin for aluminum
We need an Aussie to use the Espada for a modern redo of the "this is a knoife" bit from Crocodile Dundee
Please, all I wanted was the 4" hold out 2 magnacut, this would be the perfect steel for the perfect knife in my opinion. I would buy 5 at least in case it ever gets discontinued again! I need this knife again, it's seriously making me sad not having it

You know normal I enjoy cold steel steel but so called gentlemen knifes will be horrible to use your hand would slide forward

I’m actually disappointed. I was looking forward to see what new pocket sword they got coming, or new color versions of already existing knives that might be coming this year. None these knives impress me.
