Actually a friend of mine was able to beat Inferno Rider without starting the quest. When you start the quest it will shield Inferno Rider and you need to complete it first.
No, you don’t have to accept the quest, you can just walk there and defeat him and still get the echo

@@CaptainMomi nope, waveplates u use just if u want the boss drops, to get echos u don't need the waveplates, but its still based on the chance of data bank level, so u can kill and don't drop any echo
what happens to the quest then? will we be locked out of doing it? or will it auto complete after talking to the npc?

You still need to fight him in quest. It doesn't auto complete. When you start the quest it will make Rider untouchable until you get to the point Tenten showed with the spear. @@andysabur4966
It's not a mount, though. Just a frontal charge. You can't travel with it, just charge for ten seconds at most until it stops.
They should make it a mount tbh
Considering the time to activate and the end of animation it's slower than just running. On another end you can use dash after each attack so atk+dash makes you pretty fast (outside of combat is pretty good)

Stay on top of platforms, boxes or paths. Dont walk on grass cuz they burns you

You can walk on top of boxes, paths, etc. only grass and ground burns you
its a cool trick but u cant get the 5 set effect unless its for a fusion character.

Looks cool and all, but you can only use it for a limited time. I wish they would add an actual mount. Don't be like Genshin. Also, put flying mounts like in AzuPro.
