I think for most decks, stopping the magma once its protection falls off isn’t too big of an issue. It’s the fact that a heaven’a judgement will clear boards making it hard to stop it from regaining the protection the following turn. It’s a massive tempo swing whenever magna x + judgement is played correctly. Plus emissary of hope is massive for tempo which lets them magna x for 1 on turn 2 while attacking as well.
I get your idea of forcing new Magnamon X to digivolve over old Magnamon X, but with Awakening of the Golden Knight, that wouldn't have worked anyway. I think it should have just been a one-turn when digivolving effect. That would have been fair. Also, three-color cards shouldn't exist.
If you are green or blue, Togemogumon is amazing against magna x. It trashes the top card of the stack when magna x attacks, getting rid of its armor source, which turns off his effect. Then, you can either take the attack or block it and armor purge. Highly recommend that card, currently running it in rapidmon
Apollo can delete but magna vaccine would usually not work because they play for more control, meaning besides the first turn they usually always active the eff whenever possible
People pretending magna x is scary when a 24k heavens judgement is ALWAYS waiting the turn after it evos for protection when you can't do a single thing to it lmfao
Mastemon ace can easlily can counter this deck its as long the the maste player have an proper stack and also have chaos deg as back up. and ordinemon as long no removal security occur during the mastemon play.
Im not sure that Apollomon really works against Magna X. Even in the scenario where Magna X doesn't have protection on the Gracenovamon player's turn, the MagnaX still has armor purge. Gracenovamon atleast does it's Jogress at the start of the Magna player's turn before they get a chance to remove cards from security, but the apollomon itself doesn't seem as relevant.
So long as Magna doesn’t have protection before Apollomon’s security checks, I think it would still force the armor purge and if you can digivolve into crescemon before Apollomon, you can also stun Magna.

As a d brigade player magna x is barely an issue. It's the heavens judgement that sets me back specially when they have 2-3 back to back

3 color card only one ever already makes it crazy because you will see it in half the decks!

Naw im just using a it as reference to clear all the sec out all at once so they can't have the second use effect.

I think it’s a good card. It locked into an hand full of decks. It’s not an invincible card. I think people are overreacting
I think it just set the bar. The bar make it hard to reach some time
It's more just an example of the power creep scaling issue that people are worried about.
