Billy was intending on letting the cancer kill him. The “final phonecall” with Hughie was, in Butchers mind, intended to be his final goodbye to him. Ryan murdering Malorie is what finally pushed Butcher to let Kessler take over
They obviously want A-Train to finish his redemption arc in season 5. Probably saving Hughie or Annie in a moment that brings the end of the show full circle with the beginning

I agree, I think it wasn't unfitting as the solution of this season's arc. Still, meta-wise, A-Train has had a long-running build towards redemption and I don't think him being quiet in a Homelander-martial law situation would do justice to that.
I think she'll just die... I can't see her being very useful next season... Homelander is very elitist or put another way-"racist" against normal people & Supes who don't quite measure up to his standard of super powered ppl... (he deafened the blind "Dare Devil" guy last season)... if Ashley develops lack-luster abilities it won't protect her against stronger supes who have it in for her at Homelanders request or... be admitted to the 7 if Homelander doesn't think whatever powers she gets are 'becoming' of a supe. Also... Sage appears to be returning which means there's no point in having Ashley around... also, if Homelanders/Sages' plan comes to fruition to take over... Vought as a company wouldn't matter nearly as much so no need for a figurehead CEO

I think its hilarious how Homelander was crying at the thought of A-train betraying him, dispite spending season treating him like trash and calling him fat. It really shows the chronic victimhood of HL and how he doesn’t think about anyone else’s feelings but his own.
I think he'll definitely start out being acquainted with him but will eventually turn on him and to be honest I don't think basically 2 homelanders would even be physically possible to defeat, so for the sake of the plot he'll have to either be against him or dead by the end

A-Train leaving to me felt like the most logical conclusion to his arc this season. i think he’ll be back to help with the larger superhero resistance next season.
They dwarfed Kimiko's powers in S4. She went toe-to-toe with Black Noir #1 and was able to hurt Stormfront. But, the shifter killed her easily...Now Starlight then kills the shifter easily...she was never physically stronger than Kimiko.
Remember she was shot up with the virus. And had to Regen a new leg. I'm sure she is dealing with long term effects both mentally and physically. As well as dealing with PTSD from the girl out of her memories.

I think that it makes sense that Starlight is angry and unsympathetic at first (she's been having an identity crisis was kidnapped and malnourished, and broke her wrists breaking out to make it in time to save Hughie and co)--I think we would all hope that our partners know us well enough that they wouldn't be tricked, even though that's not a logical thing to want and I think she quickly realizes this when she makes the STI testing comment. It's not great but it'd be strange for her to have no issues with her long-time boyfriend not immediately noticing. (I thought he'd notice during sex the first time because don't her eyes glow when she orgasms? I thought there was going to be a much sooner reveal).
I believe the eyes thing is easily explained by Starlight having massive deep-seated issues using her powers as of late, as such not even an orgasm would manifest some light.

hate to disagree with the Brain but A-Train’s arc didn’t disappoint me. His only choices were to disappear or die. Majority of fans thought he would get caught and die. Makes me wonder what they have set up for him in the last season. My guess is he will definitely prove he is a true hero.
I think A-Train will have a full redemption. Including working with his brother to be a true hero. On the other side I think Ryan’s villain arc will begin.
This was another really entertaining season! Maybe not quite as great as previous seasons but it’s not like the show has fallen off like people keep saying for some reason.
I still loved it but I thought it was the weakest. Those first 3 episodes really dragged their feet. I get they wanted Frenchie to feel guilty and pay for his actions but I just feel like the way they did it was executed poorly. That relationship was just taped together. Maybe if the seasons had 10 episodes, it would have been fleshed out better.

But you must get credit to Hughie that at the end of the day he was the one who told that "Annie" was a shapeshifter. I’m 100% sure that the next show with GOT levels of success will just be one that has the entire story, regardless of how many seasons, released all at once (or in a very short time). I don’t think streaming services understand how much viewers love to binge watch, and how waiting years for a single season really damages shows. Look at invincible 😬

You’ve gotta think, GOT, the most expensive/high production show made _to date_ had 8 seasons over 8 years. We’ve had 4 season of the boys, just finished, since 2019… so just over 5 years for 4 seasons, and it’s significantly lower production than GOT ever was. That’s kind of disappointing.
Y'all don't worry.. Marie the blood girl and her Gen V heroes will be joining The boys. That Marie girl alone is capable of killing half of Homelanders team. She can destroy any human body parts (hands, legs, and even give heart attacks) Jordan can fight and survive any blast. Emma will shrink herself and mess with peoples head. Starlight will return with more powers and strength. Sam will betray CATE and follow Emma. Inthe end Homelander is going to die and Butcher will make sure Homelander dies

Homlander can control the intensity of his Lazer. In the first season he heats up a bottle of milk with them. Perhaps Newman did try and fail to pop his head on that desk or she stopped herself to prevent the world from knowing that she is the headpopper SUP. Also Butchers tumor is a SUP it can take out Numan physically
What if we see homelander take compound V as a power booster at some point? Kinda like how A Train took it to boost up his speed ability. Imagine a roid raging suped up homelander😭

Completely disagree with your view on Annie getting angry at Hughie. She just went through a terrible trauma, being held captive for 10 days while no one even knew to look for her. She wasn’t really angry at Hughie, but she was devastated by what happened. She knew he wouldn’t leave her or stop loving her, so she took some of her suffering out on her. Yes, Hughie technically a victim too, but his experience pales in comparison to hers. Annie deserves more credit than you gave her.
She even comes back around on her response mostly taking her reaction back. Which he absolutely ignores in the video. It wasn’t even just “not enough credit” but like a pointed ignoring of the things that didn’t back up his false point

I want more detail on how Sage orchestrated everything. I believe it, but the writing felt contrived and too convenient for her to just step back in with no detail on where she was or how she did it. They need to show us more of her actual planning and activity.
My take was that she had multiple plans working at the same time, so if one didn’t go right, there was a plan B, plan C, etc.
Sage only needed to get Singer and Neuman out of the way so Calhoun can become president. It didn't matter if Singer and Neuman were killed, impeached and convicted, or resigned, as long as they get removed to allow Calhoun to take over.
And Sage set up multiple ways for Singer and Neuman to be removed. The shapeshifter was sent to assassinate Singer, if the shapeshifter had succeeded, that would have been a good outcome too. There were calls to remove Neuman after she was revealed to be a supe. And Sage can get Neuman removal since she had the shapeshifter steal all the dirt Hughie had on Neuman. So if Singer gets assassinated and Neuman gets impeached and convicted, you still end up with an outcome Sage wanted.

I think that it makes sense that Starlight is angry and unsympathetic at first (she's been having an identity crisis was kidnapped and malnourished, and broke her wrists breaking out to make it in time to save Hughie and co)--I think we would all hope that our partners know us well enough that they wouldn't be tricked, even though that's not a logical thing to want and I think she quickly realizes this when she makes the STI testing comment. It's not great but it'd be strange for her to have no issues with her long-time boyfriend not immediately noticing. (I thought he'd notice during sex the first time because don't her eyes glow when she orgasms? I thought there was going to be a much sooner reveal).
I believe the eyes thing is easily explained by Starlight having massive deep-seated issues using her powers as of late, as such not even an orgasm would manifest some light.

hate to disagree with the Brain but A-Train’s arc didn’t disappoint me. His only choices were to disappear or die. Majority of fans thought he would get caught and die.

This was another really entertaining season! Maybe not quite as great as previous seasons but it’s not like the show has fallen off like people keep saying for some reason.
I still loved it but I thought it was the weakest. Those first 3 episodes really dragged their feet. I get they wanted Frenchie to feel guilty and pay for his actions but I just feel like the way they did it was executed poorly. That relationship was just taped together. Maybe if the seasons had 10 episodes, it would have been fleshed out better.

I’m 100% sure that the next show with GOT levels of success will just be one that has the entire story, regardless of how many seasons, released all at once (or in a very short time).
I don’t think streaming services understand how much viewers love to binge watch, and how waiting years for a single season really damages shows.

Perhaps Newman did try and fail to pop his head on that desk or she stopped herself to prevent the world from knowing that she is the headpopper SUP. Completely disagree with your view on Annie getting angry at Hughie. She just went through a terrible trauma, being held captive for 10 days while no one even knew to look for her. She wasn’t really angry at Hughie, but she was devastated by what happened. She knew he wouldn’t leave her or stop loving her, so she took some of her suffering out on her. Yes, Hughie technically a victim too, but his experience pales in comparison to hers. Annie deserves more credit than you gave her.
She even comes back around on her response mostly taking her reaction back. Which he absolutely ignores in the video. It wasn’t even just “not enough credit” but like a pointed ignoring of the things that didn’t back up his false point
The writers actually left a chance for Butcher to create his own Seven. With Starlight, Maverick, A-train, Ashley and two Gen V kids. Also what if Noir one lived and healed. The actor that's been playing the role is not the actor that got half his face blown off...🤫😁
