A correction for the Warhammer 40k episode. This is Titus post-Space Marine 2, as he has 4 service studs on his forehead and his helmet has the Imperial Laurel. Titus, when he was a captain of the 2nd company, had 2 service studs. Being the main character of the Space Marine videogame series, it's very unlikely he would be killed off. Remember at the end of AC6 in the final ending when you release the Coral and you see it basically animate all the ACs across the galaxy? I’m sure the synthesis was what was being hinted at.
Except this isn't set in gen 6, it's a different universe. It was confirmed by developers. We don't know what the voice was, it could have been a hallucination, it could have been an AI, it could have been anything. Just not coral
Iv never played, nor wanted to play New World. But it is by far the funniest episode of them all. I went through 3 phases in that episode. 1: "Oh lol, they made him sound like Arnold. Haha, that is pretty funny !" 2: "Waaaait ... Is.... Is that Arnold ?" 3: "HOLY FUCKING SHIT ! IT FUCKING IS ARNOLD !" Legit had me laughing out loud. The rest of the show is top notch as well and very emotional, which kinda caught me by surprise. Id love to see more !
Also a neat moment that I noticed right at the end was that when Aelstrom finally learned his lesson and changed, the figurehead from the shipwreck goes in front of him as if to actually crowning him.
Thank you for: 1. Having some background information on the games 2. Sharing basic concepts to those who might not be familiar with the games being referenced
I was playing Sifu for the past few days. Each coin breaks whenever the MC reaches the age milestone (eg. first one breaks when the MC reaches age 30, then the next breaks at 40, then 50, then 60 and the last coin is usually when the MC reaches 70 yrs old. One coin breaking doesn't necessarily mean the MC dies once. The game's system makes it that everytime the MC dies, the age increases by the number of deaths. For example, when the player is 20, and dies once, they age to 21 then when they have their 2nd death, the MC ages 21+2. So it makes it kinda difficult to assume how many times the MC dies when fighting Sean.
Let's say he's 20 years old. He died 1st time as a kid, 2nd time at the club (23), 3rd (29) and 4th (39) in the hallway. So he must have died a 5th (54) and 6th (75) time against Sean. Not that hard to do the math.
@@marcosnonato welll... you can also decrease the age counter by defeating strong enemies or encounter. so it can go from +3 to +2. but maybe thats not in this episode and just for the player
Pac-man is quiet frankly one of the best episodes. I mean, that is just an extremely different take on Pac-man. I didn't even realise the episode was about "THE" Pac-man that we all knew until I saw it embade itself into the Swordsman
The animation and storytelling was great (although predictable) and I was happy to hear Aleks Le, but for me it was actually one of the weakest episodes because I couldn’t understand the reason for it being in the anthology. It felt like a dark twist on Pac-Man for the sake of being a dark twist on Pac-Man, without really bringing any substance to the game. Compare it to other episodes that all expand their respective universe and the Pac-Man one just fell a bit flat for me. Edit: After the reveal of Shadow Labyrinth at the Game Awards, I now understand what the episode was a part of. Still not sure if “Pac-Man” was the right title to give it
I wonder if the Lich being turned into a snail was a reference to Adventure Time, when the snail gets possessed by the Lich after breaking his amber tomb.
Quick note, at 15:04 for the 40K section. This is a Primaris Titus so it’s after the events of Space Marine 2. You see him with the Laurels he obtains at the end of that game and his chains from his time with the Deathwatch.
The aura of protection in the camp could be the Leomund's Tiny Hut spell, while the "now we have our cleric", well, could be also made up thanks to the faith of Solon.
Swordsmen seem's like a ghost. Hes blue, lurks around and is hungry like a ghost from what puck said, and puck didnt eat his eyes, plus he rebooted at the room like the ghosts from pacman
I have to correct you on the Armored Core segment and mentioning SHRIEKER, I'm so sorry. SHRIEKER, is the name of the AC. Just like in other AC games since 1997, you can name your own AC. SHRIEKER is not a AC type first appearing on Armored Core for Answer. This is just wrong.
@@AmodeusRSPOILER if you haven't played AC6 . . . . . . a commenter of a video i watched b4 points out that the pilot works for an ingame resistance faction called Rubicon Liberation Front. The voice in his head is the result of incorporating Coral, which is planet Rubicon's resource, into one's body during augmentation. Ingame, there're many NPCs who have voice in their head. Originally, the episode was going to be about how evil the true main antagonist of the game, an advanced ai by the name Allmind. Because there're restrictions in using AC6 assets and to not spoil one of the game's ending, we get that episode
I'm glad you mentioned the "weird lip syncing issue" on New World. I thought it was lag or something on my end. Spent a good 5 minutes trying to fix it!
What a nice touch of mixes from various AC worlds. AC 3 = barren lands, Voices in Raven's head = AC 6, AC design could vary from old designs of certain cores and new ones for its own world (AC episode) and many other things in the lands left to rust.
18:10 it's the other way around, Blacklist is the one who escorting the client, brownish color of their outfits tells it and the ops with snipers are Global Risk, they had the goggles logo on their helmets and blue-ish outfit ofc
Correction for the Armored Core episode. Shrieker is just a normal Armored Core, not a NEXT as shown from Armored Core: for Answer, like all other ACs in the Armored Core 6 setting. NEXTs doesn't exist in the Armored Core 6 continuity and are exclusive to the timeline setting of Armored Core 4/for Answer - Armored Core 5/Verdict Day.
You could also interpret the scene where king Aelstrom’s statue is buried under sand as symbolism for how he’s changed from an arrogant king to a caring friend.
The sorceror wasn't a daemon and it wasn't a daemon prince. It was simply a mutated human psyker, it had the same florescent blue blood as the tzaangors (also mutants) and didn't dissolve upon death like you would expect a daemon to. It was also in no way strong enough to be a daemon prince, it was only strong enough to stop time (using its spear) and cause mental hallucinations which kill the target with their fear. A daemon prince wouldn't be sliced in two by a mere astartes combat knife.
It was because he has no fear, the sorcerer confronted them with their biggest fears eg metaurus fearing that Titus would become a heretic. But since Titus never feared anything even before becoming a space marine that trick doesn’t work on him. I doubt that’s the reason for his warp resistance tho he was still somehow affected/weakened by the artifact in SM2 when they found the ship of the arch magos and that had nothing to do with fear.
@EASY7356 yeah that and his immunity to the warp. But mostly his immunity to the warp. Don't forget the effin God emperor himself whispered in Titus's ear to "get tf up son of ultra smurf" so yea theres that.

About the Crossfire episode, I thought the Global Risk guys are the ones wearing dark blue underarmor and black helmets/vests, while the Black List wears gray underarmor and beige helmets/vests. That's what I remember the color scheme was, but haven't played since 2013 so I may be wrong.

The dialogue made me want to rip my hair out. I was guessing whether they’d say “fuck” or “shit” next the whole time, and counting how many sentences they could get through without saying it.
While I don’t disagree, it would’ve been more entertaining to see Counter-Strike instead, Rainbow Six or even Call of Duty (especially considering they have a knockoff Captain Price and Farah’s actress in the episode). I also didn’t think the episode was necessarily bad but definitely one of the weaker ones considering it was too based on realism.
Little disappointed you didn't mention how, at the end of the New World story with Aelstrom and his friend on the beach, as the camera is panning a figurehead in the background holding a crown lines up with Aelstrom's head. It's like the last frame of the short. It's a great detail.
I loved them all & can't wait for more! The Pac Man version from this needs to be made into a game! This was a much better Pac-Man than the one I had growing up!
Honestly I wished each of these episodes were really made into full series as theres so much potential in each episode thay just could of been bigger that sadly had been cut short. I would of really like a full space marine or armored core one. Thr pac man one felt like it was perfect for a horror movie. Just make esch of these i to a series already they really keeping us from a possible amazing series!
8:30 It sadly got cut short in the video but If you look closely at the ending, the crown held by the figurehead of the wrecked ship perfectly aligns with King Aelstrom
I loved the New World episode. Not enough of those type learning to be a better person story these days and it had that sort of violent dark humor that wasn't overdone.
"there's strength in repetition." Gotta love Puck, she's like us, banging our head after dying at the end. Puck is the prisoner of the game, just like us.
I see alot of people complaining about the length of the episodes but I feel like that's the point it leaves wanting more so you go and check out the game the episode is based on.
I seem to be in the minority here but I just want to say the Crossfire episode was PEAK. That short episode had better action than many full-length mega-budget blockbuster films in the same genre. My only criticism is that abandoning the suitcase felt anticlimactic. They execute a brilliant decoy plan, improvise well when the opps catch up, and friends die along the way. All that just to leave the briefcase behind?? Nah man
Episode 8 - As studied prior and believed - voices of the consciousness are created or harbored in order to utilize as a tool to extend themselves through or with senses/emotions that normally cannot be controlled. Gen 4 augmentation not only had AC Pilots augmented to the point the patient(s) created 'buffers' that are the voices- the Coral themselves would create consciousness with their pilots; creating a symbiotic relationship much like how C4-621 did with Ayre.
I was also thinking about the Pac-man skit' that the Ghost that came out to block him had a stance like "King Kong"... Just a little thought that popped up as a small reference. 😏👍🏾
the pacman episode was really nice and dark almost horror like. Not a first though, The venture Bros. also had an astronaut themed horror homage to Pacman.
Correction on the Armored Core section, Shrieker is the name of the AC, not its type. The type of AC you are referring to in AC4, is called a NEXT, Shrieker is not a Next, even if its uses a type of VOB. If it was a NEXT, the enemy Augmented Human inside the core would have died within seconds when being exposed to Shrieker. Short explanation, NEXT are SUPER radioactive. Its one of the reason why AC4 setting looks like a total wasteland more than its other entries. Another reason is thats its really slow for a NEXT. Next against normal AC last less than seconds, even against an army. While AC vs AC can last a minute or two.
Sifu has SOOO much potential to be a full on animated series. It would be amazing to just expand on the lore, explain things in the game and just tell the story altogether. I really hope that the creator of Sifu will invest in that. Also Warhammer actually takes place after the game Space Marine 2. Also the voice talking to Pilot is most likely Coral.
Not to be THAT guy but for Crossfire I think you got the factions mixed up. The turn coat is working with the blacklist(The hired mercs). In the game the black list is denoted by the colour brown and the global risk as blue. in one of the earlier scenes in the video you can see the female character dawning the global risk insignia on her vest.
The UT Episode was most surprising for me. I didnt expect anything since I couldnt imagine how to put UT in a shortfilm. But man they delivered something good.

That loss of humanity would likely be the mixing of Coral with a person to produce something new. Remember at the end of AC6 in the final ending when you release the Coral and you see it basically animate all the ACs across the galaxy? I’m sure the synthesis was what was being hinted at.

Iv never played, nor wanted to play New World. But it is by far the funniest episode of them all. I went through 3 phases in that episode.
1: "Oh lol, they made him sound like Arnold. Haha, that is pretty funny !"
2: "Waaaait ... Is.... Is that Arnold ?"
3: "HOLY FUCKING SHIT ! IT FUCKING IS ARNOLD !"
Legit had me laughing out loud.
_And yet, Aelstrom lives._ 😆
Also the references to Conan with the sword of Atlantis and Predator with the epic handshake 😂

Here's our love death and robots replacement until season 4
Same ! I thought it was odd world the whole time 😂
"This is Rupturefarms" 🥲
that's so cool to hear as someone who worked on it :D
The animation and storytelling was great (although predictable) and I was happy to hear Aleks Le, but for me it was actually one of the weakest episodes because I couldn’t understand the reason for it being in the anthology. It felt like a dark twist on Pac-Man for the sake of being a dark twist on Pac-Man, without really bringing any substance to the game. Compare it to other episodes that all expand their respective universe and the Pac-Man one just fell a bit flat for me.
Edit: After the reveal of Shadow Labyrinth at the Game Awards, I now understand what the episode was a part of. Still not sure if “Pac-Man” was the right title to give it
@@desouzasinclair Great job man! what you and your team create is amazing!
I wonder if the Lich being turned into a snail was a reference to Adventure Time, when the snail gets possessed by the Lich after breaking his amber tomb.
Unreal Tournament was my favorite followed by war hammer, then armed core
You have a type 🤣
Quick note, at 15:04 for the 40K section. This is a Primaris Titus so it’s after the events of Space Marine 2. You see him with the Laurels he obtains at the end of that game and his chains from his time with the Deathwatch.
The aura of protection in the camp could be the Leomund's Tiny Hut spell, while the "now we have our cleric", well, could be also made up thanks to the faith of Solon.

This is just wrong.
so tell me more about who he is and how he fits in AC story, I'm curious to know if he is a future hero, a villain or what.

a commenter of a video i watched b4 points out that the pilot works for an ingame resistance faction called Rubicon Liberation Front.
Just finished pac man episode . And man that was amazing . How fucking haunting dude . Loved it
there's a game coming out soon
"Off to epstein island" is wild bro 😂
You could also interpret the scene where king Aelstrom’s statue is buried under sand as symbolism for how he’s changed from an arrogant king to a caring friend.

14:45 That wasn't an Astropath, it was just a Psyker.
14:55 The Daemon was invading their minds.
It might have been one that eye plate he was wearing really looked like an astropaths.
Why does everybody assume it’s a demon in the credits they are literally called Astropath and Sorcerer of Tzeentch
@@EASY7356a sorcerer for a god of chaos is a demon…
And the daemon is a prince to boot. Rare and extremely dangerous. If not for Titus, mission would be a guaranteed failure
Was the most excited for 40k and D&D, my favorites ended up being Unreal Tournament, and Pacman
The reason why Titus survived was because of his immunity to the warp
@@EASY7356 space marines have fear genetically removed out of them in the process of becoming one, so itd be titus' warp resistance that saved him its theorized he's a psyker null
@@LeehoLee-hl1fx Small nitpicky correction: Titus isn't immune he's highly resistant, if he was immune he would be a Blank and if that was the case then that psyker would have had a seizure lmao

Who are trying to convince? It was terrible and 20 mins? Jeez what a waste

Gritty serious DND campaign. oh you mean a good one
Won’t lie, that D&D episode reignited my love for the game.
It’s really sad how that gold dragon was changed into an Avatar of Tiamat!
Little disappointed you didn't mention how, at the end of the New World story with Aelstrom and his friend on the beach, as the camera is panning a figurehead in the background holding a crown lines up with Aelstrom's head. It's like the last frame of the short. It's a great detail.

The only problem I noticed it's they're too short 😅. If I remember correctly they're shorter than "LOVE + DEATH + ROBOTS" ones

The world of warcraft first episode was epic, and all of them were super good. I could which these shorts all day
8:30 It sadly got cut short in the video but If you look closely at the ending, the crown held by the figurehead of the wrecked ship perfectly aligns with King Aelstrom
I loved the New World episode. Not enough of those type learning to be a better person story these days and it had that sort of violent dark humor that wasn't overdone.
"there's strength in repetition."
Gotta love Puck, she's like us, banging our head after dying at the end. Puck is the prisoner of the game, just like us.
I see alot of people complaining about the length of the episodes but I feel like that's the point it leaves wanting more so you go and check out the game the episode is based on.
The new world episode was honestly such a nice relief for the next 5 episodes that left my mouth open.
Titus looks like the Doomslayer! Which makes me love him even more, god what a badass
Nah man
that was the twist, they are only contracted to get him to location safe, not his dreams nor his suitcase. plus, hes an asshole to them.
40K episode was insanely good. Amazon needs to make more of that.
I wouldn't be surprised if the ghosts in the pac-man episode were past "chosen ones".
the pacman episode was really nice and dark almost horror like.

Pacman looks like Abe's odyssey meets Returnal
I was most surprised by the unreal tournament episode. I knew nothing about the game, but damn that might be my favorite episode
Arnold's performance is the highlight of the show for me.
Its good to know that Titus has been "fuck it we ball" kind of guy since day 1
These all were so cool...wish they would make a movie off each concept
Not to be THAT guy but for Crossfire I think you got the factions mixed up. The turn coat is working with the blacklist(The hired mercs). In the game the black list is denoted by the colour brown and the global risk as blue. in one of the earlier scenes in the video you can see the female character dawning the global risk insignia on her vest.
Pac Man: Why is EVERYTHING Horror now?
The UT Episode was most surprising for me. I didnt expect anything since I couldnt imagine how to put UT in a shortfilm. But man they delivered something good.
Armored Core could have its own show
All I can say is that every one of these stories can have a series. 3-5 episodes and be really successful.
So, I guess you could say, there's a little pac-man inside all of us.
Warhammer & Pac-Man was *PEAK CINEMA*
The armored core EP was my favorite, I hope that we get a series out of it
The sword in the Armoured Core episode is clearly a nod to the Moonlight Greatswords from every Fromsoftware game
Unreal Tournament was such a great watch
Also, on the Crossfire episode, the Marksman from the Black List group is played by Ricky Whittle (Shadow Moon) from the show “American Gods.”
I’m pretty sure that spell surrounding the dnd party at night is Leomund's Tiny Hut.
