- Another bike in the collection, I have always wanted to experience this bike and for a few short weeks here I will have the chance to ride it around while before the winter sets in.

Just add gel grips and vibration dampening bar ends and the vibration issue goes away. Owned my 2007 919 since new, 50k miles on the odometer and expect to get another 50k. Best bike I ever owned.
I’ll look into those. It’s definitely a fun bike
I have an 04 , love it . I have a few bikes and the 919 is just a fun bike that always puts a smile on my face. Mine came with Yoshimura exhaust and it sounds nice . I put a Givi locking top box (quick release ) and a small wind screen . I am keeping this one .
i have an 05...the previous owner put DRZ400 bars on it. I was going to change them, but I got used to the wider bars, especially after I added a riser so the bars lean over the tank just a bit. the riser took care of the vibration as well. Also: 1.) if you put a racing exhaust on it, you will squeeze a little more power out of it, but if you think its loud now, wait for the racing pipes. 2.) you can wheelie it at basically any speed. 3.) I got a luggage rack for mine, just because I ride my bikes for regular commuting. the only one you'll likely find is made in Ukraine. while it is great quality, it will take 10 weeks to arrive 4.) Keep your electrical system nice and clean, and dont bother with a power commander. Its a novelty, and causes more issues than it solves. If you know carbs, you know how screwy things can get if you get wild with a rejet - same deal. enjoy man -- I thought it was bulky at first, but it grows on you, and it will go just about anywhere with those wide tires. just dont gas it too hard over rough terrain, and if you are having trouble with low speed maneuvers, consider wider bars. I have no issue whipping mine around for a U-turn on the narrowest of streets
Appreciate the tips. I actually have no issues with low speed, after riding my rc51 this things super easy to control
Does it smells because this is main complaint from users? They run rich a bit. Looking one 2002 with worse suspension than 2004+ models but I think I will buy gsr600 in the end.
@@CptSlow89 yeah, you will smell like gasoline. its not just that they run better when set rich, but i believe it is also the placement of the pipes. they are up high, just below the seat. that's well over a foot or more closer to you than most exhausts. the wind changes, and its not your boots, but your backpack and jacket that catch the stray emissions. but its kinda worth it lol. (there are exhaust kits that re-route the pipes low on the right side. I bet it would help a great deal. :-) )
I own this bike! Such a fun commuter bike.
I have an '03. Crazy underrated bike.
Agreed.

@@CptSlow89 I heard about that but personally I don't experience it.
@@CptSlow89 I just saw this comment. It is different on every bike from my research and I mention it in a different video I believe. My personal bike I can smell it but it really is not bad, when riding I do not notice it.
@@navscycles Thanks for reply. I bought gsr600 :)
I have on 03 with 20k In the middle of a repaint. Metallic black to speed yellow ---love this machine.
these bikes look awesome in yellow it really is a great machine. Thanks for watching
Had an 05 ,put 198000 ks on it,saw it for sale last month with 260000 ks ,great bike.
Hey, I used to have one of those!
Looking forward to the day you look up to buy the European version of the 750 Nighthawk. The 'Seven Fifty'. Nice content man, keep it up!
thank you, and whats the difference between the European and US 750 Nighthawk?
We got the 750 NH in the 90s unless you're talking about a different bike
@@navscycles Don't know the really big details but the European or Asian version looks more sporty-ish. Different exhaust and double front disc brakes if I recall correctly. Nothing too much of a difference. Although I'm on the research to learn everything there is about the CB 750s starting from 69s up till 2008s
@@navscycles Also yeah, it came out pretty much on the years when the nighthawk was released on the 90s. So, the 'Seven Fifty' is from 1991-2003 in Europe and continued up until 2008 in Japan if I'm not mistaken
Ah I see. I know exactly what you’re talking about. And yah I don’t think we got those in the US unfortunately. The US Night Hawk has interested me a little but I haven’t tried to get one yet.
Gourous machine ✊️🏍👍🇮🇪
Can't wait tomorrow to go see a dude who's selling one like yours, 1 owner, tail tidy, wide handlebar, frame sliders, performance exhaust, 18k km, should be in great condition
Good-luck!
Oh I had one too! It was a great bike. But it wasn't a modern bike. Although it did sound good, and got up to 115 pretty quick, it doesn't really like going faster. But also i just like nodern naked aport bikes. Z800,z900, s1000r etc...
I got mine up to 135 without any problems. I let off actually it had more in it.
@navscycles it's been a while since I owned it. It can go faster, I just remember it chilling just fine at 115. well, to be fair, it was my first big bike after learning and riding on a ninja 300, so maybe I'm not remembering it well, or maybe I just wasn't as confident. Regardless it's a good looking bike.
Yah I only got it over 110 once so far, but I get what you mean.
@navscycles I'm not disparaging the bike in any manner btw. It's a Honda, it will outlive the apocalypse, and is really comfy to ride, and since it's not a full out "sport bike" insurance isn't expensive on it. I actually kinda miss it from time to time. For two years I was commuting about 100 miles on an s1000r, great bike, but the 919 would have been better for that haul. Also a good bike for two up, strapping luggage to it, or for shorter riders. Haha you're making me want to get one again 😅
@@navscycles I have the exact same motorcycle with 84,000 hard ridden miles on it. It’s not a 1000 it’s a 900 so don’t. expect it to be as fast as a 1000. You get pretty good gas mileage at 4000 RPM doing 65 mph. Low end torque can make it interesting at red light. I must say it Does vibrate add certain rpm. Not to mention the stink from the exhaust.
Well made video
nice ive had one for 2 years its my first bike
Nice roads, what part of the US is this ?
It’s Wisconsin
