Carlo didn’t just hit Connie. His beating her was a plan all along to set Sonny off to be ambushed on the causeway. Barzini got Carlo to help him kill Sonny.
Good reaction. FYI: I have been told that "Johnny Fontaine" is meant to represent none other than Frank Sinatra, but if they said so in the movie and the book it would be lawsuit time. Or maybe a nap with the fishes. Sinatra was definitely plugged into the Mafia.
3:55 A badass, yes, but nice to kitty cats. 21:30 Michael was a Marine Captain during the war and saw plenty of combat close up. The way he was trained and how far he rose in rank tells us a little bit about his capabilities.
Michael didn’t kill Carlo because he hit Connie. He killed him because Carlo worked with Barzhnini to have Sonny killed.
That's how they were waiting for Sonny at the toll booth.
Best film of all time, love Al Pacino in this, the whole cast is brilliant. Hope you do Part 2 and 3.
Soprano's is absolutely necessary if you like the mob genre. Definitely a must.
This has become one of my favorite reaction channels thanks for your heartfelt honest reactions
Al Pacino is a great actor, but I think Marlon Brando is a lot more belonging in the "one of the greatest of all time" category.
@Randy White al is a better all time actor I think he meant marlon Brando’s performance for this movie belongs in a museum
Carlo didn't get killed for beating Connie. Carlo got killed for setting up and getting Santino killed by the Barzini and Tattaglia families.
Bro, you are going to shit yourself when you watch number 2. I love this trilogy so much. Great reaction as usual. Edit: I’m curious, which scene had your favorite dialog? Mine was Vito’s speech to the five families. Cheers!
Mine is when Michael proposes to kill Solozzo and McClusky, one of my favorite scenes period.
Can’t wait for the Part Two
It hurt so much.
The horse head is so much more than a shock; the Don's men were there, they were standing next to him as he slept, they could have killed him right there, the Don can get to him and nobody would help him. Such a power move.
Couldn't agree more. One unimportant comment: What if it was not the Don's "men" in his bedroom but Luca Brasi all by himself? The actual boogyman.
Michael has his military service to thank for his planning acumen and calmness under fire (so to speak). His hands weren't shaking after the hoods drove by at the hospital while Enzo (the baker) was a bit shaken. Carlo's killing was not because he beat Connie, but because he lured Sonny away from the Corleone stronghold and to his death at the toll plaza.
This movie is widely considered one of the greatest films in cinema history.
Good catch with Paulie, like you caught that right away!!
I'm black & the part about putting drugs In the black community is what really happened in our community. As racist as it is I don't mind cause it's true
Great reaction, but you totally seemed to miss the primary betrayal by Carlo: He set Sonny up to be murdered.
When Michael comes in at the last scene, he doesn't even mention beating his sister. He says, "You have to answer for Santino, Carlo....Common, you don't think that little charade could fool a Corleone, did you?" That's what got Carlo killed. But yeah, he deserved it either way.
You will like Godfather 2 and the Sopranos. They are great.
Scarface is very good but not in the same league as the first 2 Godfather movies, which are probably 2 of the top 5 or 10 movies ever.
Al Pacino and Kay is actress Diane Keaton. The Godfather is actor Marlon Brando.
100% yes to part 2
These were some of Tony Sopranos favorite movies so this is fitting!
I would love to see you watch Scarface. Al is amazing in it.
The book was great, if a bit... odd in some places. Like where it went off on and gave extreme details about Johnny Fontaine's neither regions.
It was written by Mario Puzzo. The same guy who wrote the original 2 Christopher Reeve Superman movies.
Carlo was not killed for beating Connie. He was killed for setting up Sonny to be killed at the toll booth. Beating Connie was his way to get Sonny out of the house and to the toll booth to be assassinated.
14:30 - I don't think I've EVER seen someone catch on so early that Paulie calling into work set up the Don. And that includes me! **** To answer your question, it's not a true story. But "Goodfellas" and "Casino" (and "Donnie Brasco", also with Pacino) are all true stories. *** I hope you have since discovered the name of the actor who plays Don Vito Corleone: Marlon F**king Brando! :D Brando playing The Godfather was a bit of "stunt casting", he was a huge influence on all of these (at the time) young, unknown actors (Al Pacino, James Caan, John Cazale, Robert Duvall, etc). At the time of this movie, Brando looked nothing like this, he was still a good looking man in his 40s with long, blondish hair (look up a picture of him in his next movie, "Last Tango In Paris", and you'll see what I mean).
If you watch the Sopranos, do it AFTER you've seen "Godfather Part 2" and "Goodfellas" and "Casino". Those three movies you need to watch BEFORE you start "The Sopranos", to get the most out of the Sopranos. Half the people in The Sopranos are in "Goodfellas" and "Casino", that's the reason why they were cast, and those two movies are the best "nuts-and-bolts" dissection into how the mob operated. Most viewers of "The Sopranos" had seen those other movies first. So do "Godfather Part 2" (part 3 sucks and is an embarrassment to Part 1 and Part 2, which are masterpieces, you can skip that or do that at a much later date), and then do "Goodfellas" and "Casino". "Scarface" is totally unrelated, you can do that whenever you want. But before " The Sopranos" watch that other stuff first.
The character Tony Fontaine is portrayed by actual singer from the 60's Al Martino.
Fact...the cat in the opening scene was a cat hanging around the set and Brando became attached to it.
Hell yeah brother, this movie was one of a kind. Btw I agree that Michael is more level headed than Sonny is
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to my all time favorite movie. You should definitely check out Part II, which is just as good if not better. Part III is worth viewing also, although it’s not nearly as good as the first two.
Watch Sopranos AFTER you've watched the Godfather movies (at least 1 and 2) and the movies Goodfellas. Also recommend movies The St Valentine's Day Massacre (1967 if you can find it about Al Capone), The Untouchables 1987 (Kostner & DeNiro). Sopranos is a more recent time period than these movies. Guessing around the late 1990s. Excellent TV series. Another great gangster tv series is Boardwalk Empire (Irish mafia) starring Steve Buscemi. If not review yourself, your Dad might like them. Other posters here: If I missed an important organized crime/mafia movie, please add it in a reply. Thank you. This is one of the greatest movies ever made. It won a lot of Oscars, including Marlon Brando for Best Actor and Best Picture.
Scarface is a good movie. Goodfellas is a good movie if you haven't seen it yet.
Its 'strictly business ' always.... except carlo... he had to watch him die. That one was personal.
The Sopranos is great.
Hey how are u dillon🖐
This is a re-upload right?
Definitely watch The Sopranos!!!💕
Watch ,,Children of men''
That movie is masterpiece!!
Sopranos. Excellent. Scarface Excellent. Goodfellas Excellent. From now on always listen to your father on movies and life. He knows his stuff.
Please do a tv full series reaction to Alias and Burn Notice 2 of the best shows. 😁 please put them on the poll see which wins. Thank you hope all is well.😊😁
Can't see the movie, dude!
WATCH The Sopranos!
...Look how they massacred my boy...
U were so quiet in part one ......maybe cus its soooooo intense its breaking u in 4 part 2......then u can let loose.....maybe thats why so many feel part 2 is better
The Sopranos is the greatest TV drama in the last 50 years!!!!
Can't hear the movie, old chap. Lost dimensions. Never forget that your reaction is secondary to the film itself, because almost everyone who wants to see your reaction, wants to re-visit a beloved or recently viewed film quite a lot more than they want to watch you. That got complicated. Doesn't need to be. It's a balance, ye see? More film, less you, and you will do very well I should think. All power to you, and onward, ever onward!
Part 2 Great! Part 3 SUCKS!
Please do the second film. Forget about the 3rd one it is 💩 lol
You think someone deserves to be beaten up just because he puts his hands on a woman???? What are you, crazy?? I put my hands on my wife every day. If I didn’t, she might think I didn’t love her any more..
i get it
@@ReelOzAussieDillon carlo was killed cus as Micheal said u have to answer 4 Santino....he fingerd Sonny to Barzini. ..itvwasnt cus he beat Conny. .....
@@ReelOzAussieDillon cnt wait 2 see ur reaction 2 part 3....nd scarface. FYl. PACINOS FAVORITE IS SCARFACE
Ur joking....
A man who beats women should go up against another man....a man who beats pregnant women should be castrated......
No matter how many times i watch this movie, the way robert duvall's voice cracks ever so subtly as he delivers the line "they shot sonny on the causeway, he's dead" makes me tear up every time.
So many fine actors in this film.
You picked a good one. I'm so excited. It's not based on a true story, but it was heavily monitored by the Colombo family during its production and had to get their approval. The man playing Luca Brasi was actually a real bodyguard for the Colombo family. That's why he was so nervous in the beginning of the movie, he was starstruck by Marlon Brando.
And those WERE real photographs of mob hits and such during that montage.
And that montage was edited together by George Lucas.
Some people weren't happy with part 3 because it wasn't as memorable as the other two, but over time it's definitely grown on people. Definitely worth the watch because not a lot of people react to it.
Please do a reaction to all 3 godfather movies then to Scarface. A good movie after that is Frankie and Johnnie with Michelle Pfeiffer and Al Pacino ( Michelle Co stared in scarface.) Another good movie with Michelle Pfeiffer is " Married To The Mob".
Fact:
Luca Brasi, played by Lenny Montana was an actual Colombo family mobster.
Another fact: He actually flubbed his lines during his meet with the Don. The scene was so authentic that Francis Coppola kept it in the movie.
@@thequietrevolution3404 Yes!
Marlon Brando broke two of the cardinal rules in his first and last scenes in this movie: don't work with animals or kids. And he absolutely killed it in both! What a legend!
Marlon Brando won his 2nd oscar for this movie
Michael fibbed to Kay at the end! He FIBBED!!!!
If you haven’t started the Sopranos you definitely should
Well I have always known al Pacino from the godfather even before seeing it
Check out scent of a woman Pacino won best actor for that performance
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😉
4 me i feel part 1 nd 2 r one long epic movie.u cnt have one without the other......
Having difficulty choosing between letters and numbers?
Johnny Fontain, (Frank Sinatra) is a good third of the book. Major character. Listen to the Audio Book on UA-cam its even better than the film. the screen play was done by the author. it's where you get to know the full lowdown on Luca and why he was so feared.
George Lucas lead the second unit for the hallway scenes in the hospital.
Ur the best reactor ive seen ...u realy do watch movies.
Appreciate the reupload
