Possibly the greatest instructional video in You Tube history.😐
Dude thank you! I have been working with reason for an embarrassing amount of time to not know this! You are awesome.
Timeless advice. Thank you. 👏🏽
Thank you 1,000,000!!! Folks like you, making solution videos, help the worlds of so many people more than you may ever know!
Dude you are a God send... took me days to find a video this helpful.
Thanks this has been really helpful as I now know which keyboard to buy. I am loaning a M Audio 25 Oxygen and have been able to map out the controls really easily thanks to your vid. I noticed that the exclamation marks are because the surface and Keyboard of the same device are using the same midi channel.
You are my favorite. Thank you for the knowledge.
Appreciate it, Joey. Thanks for supporting the channel.
This tutorial is on point! I like your track, too. Thanks!
Awesome, glad you found it useful and thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video. I have a NI A 61 and was having the exact same issues. This solved that! Thank you.
Excellent, accurate and to the point. Thanks!
Appreciate the comment, Kent. Thanks for watching!
Dziękuję bardzo! Pomogłeś chłopie. Wszystkie potencjometry już są "kontrolne" . Biorę się do dzieła!

Thank you so much for your efforts!!!
No problem. Thanks for watching and your comment, Michelle!
Thank you Soooo much, I was starting to think my new oxygen25 was broken 😂👍👍👍
YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE THE MAN!!! I have just spent over two hours trying to sort this out, looking and asking everywhere, and you my man, have solved my problem. It was exactly as you said, keyboard worked fine, but just was not assigning knobs etc to my DAW parameters. THANK YOU THANK YOU...If you lived near me, I would buy you a beer sir!!!!!!!
Sweet! That's what I like to hear! Glad the video was helpful for you, man. And, I'd take you up on the beer but, yeah, that'd be difficult as I'm all the way in Thailand! Hahaha.
@@quantaaudio You are in Thailand - no way! That beer might just be doable. I lived in Thailand for 3 years - it's my second home....one of the best places on earth. I'm in the UK now but I plan to visit soon, and also end my days in Thailand (i.e. retire there). How mad is that??!!! What's you story if you don't mind me asking...? I wish there was a way to message you though UA-cam. If have a minute, check out my latest work.. I have been out of music for quite a long time, but now I can do everything on my laptop, I'm getting back into it. I have just done a Beatles remix, and couple of other things....but lots more to come!!! It's all here: clyp.it/user/b4s0eyas
Haha, that's crazy! And yes, it is one of the best places on earth! As far as my story goes, this is my third time out and what initially brought me out here was to train in muay thai and experience the culture. I've since fallen in love with the vibe of the country and how free it is and how friendly the people are.
I'm actually only here for two months and then I will be in Vietnam for a year. I have a multiple entry visa so I'll be coming back to Thailand during that time, for sure. If I can swing it, I will never go back to the states as I prefer it here - SE Asia. But this just all depends on how well I can get things going online with my audio work$!
I will check out your link and let's be in touch. My email is in the description box! Cheers!
@@quantaaudio Will do!!

Thank u!
excellent TY very much
You're welcome.
holy shit, ure genius, thank you.
wonder if i can assign keys or buttons to go through sample sounds within an instrument
with the additional surface can a sustain pedal be assigned to the recording button , without loosing the record button on the transport of the master keyboard at the same time?
You forgot to tell them to choose separated instead of standard default master keyboard input very important but none the less u the best!!
Oh man! Add it a second time. I would have NEVER found that.
Too much messing about before I found this video. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
hey how do i Manually Assigning 2 all 14 faders ?
I want to manually assign each drum in Kong, but right clicking each drum pad doesn't work. Only the Transport buttons (Stop, Play, Record) allow me to manually re-map them....
Hey man, I need help! I'we got the same keyboard, it works good but only have question. How did you setted up the drum pads to works well with kong or redrum? Thanks for the help and have a nice day!
I'd check this tut out that I did: ua-cam.com/video/Z-3EvX1zM50/v-deo.html
Are you able to map the actual pads on the kong?
Hello, what Reason version is that? Thank you.
thx
no problem!
Is there any way that I can assign certain controls to control the same parameters of every instrument e.g. volume, or changing the sound....?? Now that would be freakin AWESOME!!!
I'm not sure about that, it's been a while since I've worked with these settings in Reason!
@@quantaaudio I finally sussed it out - it took me HOURS! And it was just through sheer doggedness and repeating things over and over until finally, more from luck than anything else - I cracked it...
How did you do it?
@@davids736 Don't keep it to yourself man!
Damn my mpc 2000 record dosent trigger....any help
Hi Quanta, how you doing? You in Thailand now...?
Quick question, and it's I am not looking for the answer HOW, just whether or not it is possible. I thought I had worked it out, but nope, still struggling. So it's this - I know my keyboard can create some kind of patch, though not sure what for. I am hoping that I can create a patch of controllers for Reason for different instruments. It seems a bit unlikely that you would be expected to change the controllers assigned to Reason every time you use another instrument - and what about live, that would be impossible.
So if anyone out there knows if that is possible, would really appreciate some feedback - thanks in advance. I'm using Reason 11 with M-Audio Oxyen 49 keyboard.
Hope you are well Quanta....
So, it looks like it's a bit of a process to do the mappings and have them permanently stick around. You would need to make changes to what's call the "Remote Map" for your controller. It's a bit much to go into in the comment section, but I think you should be able to find all you need, here: www.reasonstudios.com/blog/control-remote
And, here is a video of the process: ua-cam.com/video/9XlVcnjgXRw/v-deo.html
There is a remote map set up for the Oxygen 49 already, but, you may not like the default settings for the parameters, and of course, if you have rack extensions and 3rd-party VSTs, these wouldn't be included in the the defualt map, either. So you'd need to set those up anyway.
How to seperate knobs for differerent devices without having to set knobs everytime
You are the fucking man!
Thank you so much !
THANK YOU!
Glad the vid was helpful, Santonio. Thanks for the feedback! Helps to keep me going.
Awesome, thanks.
