First delete the face and Extrude it using Gumball

You need to use reflect command first. The merged part is the reflection of the original object.

- Hi thanks. I didn't do anything important. I did not use any commands. I used free-move with Gumball to move the edge.
- To make the selection at 2:18. Hold Ctrl Shift and double click, then scale using Gumball to flatten edges
