- We are loving our Bean teardrop trailer but have only done small trips so far. Instead of taking out 5th wheel we decided to see how do we do on a 2 week roadtrip in a tiny trailer.

you may hear the most about the french press: it doesn’t go on the stove. heat your water, fill the press w coffee and the heated water, wait a few mins, pour. PSA you will get tired of hearing 😂. Love the video, thanks for the info, I hope to have a small pull along soon to get out there with instead of car camping
Thanks for watching. Yeah we are French press newbies. What kind of small pull along are you looking at?
Welcome to the Teardrop Family. Top notch camper you have. 1) if you forget something use it as a test, if you need it or not. Less is better and space is precious in the teardrop. 2) Each trip has it's own goals for driving mileage, to me it's ideal to travel 250-300 miles. But we just did a Texas to McCall, Idaho trip and broke that rule often. We made up for it by staying at Grand Junction, CO for 2 nights and 4 nights in the Great Basin NP. 3) When you go to a cool park try to add an extra day, you will kick yourself if you didn't do more, because you ran out of time and you don't know if you get to see it again. Life is short. 4) Don't over pack on perishable food, there's always a place to buy more during the trip. For long trips I do like to have a 20 quart ice cooler for drinks only, this also frees up space in the 12v cooler. For a weekend camp out it's just the 12v cooler.
Thanks for watching and the welcome. We always overplan and run out of time to do everything 🤦🏼♂️
Time to add an ac to the bean! Looking forward to your Canada videos.
No way my wife would let me take her camping without it being glamping!
We should have ordered it with one. Hindsight is 20/20 right?
One word of advice: a checklist. I have one with all the items we carry on my iPhone's Notes app. Running the checklist is the last thing we do before leaving home.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing. It's wonderful you're able to switch it up and save fuel costs by taking the Bean. I would camp with Bean wherever I desire. Each one has to live within their means. Camp your way and enjoy!
Thanks for watching. It is fun to switch it up.
Nice trailer. I like smaller trailers vs the larger ones. I have a small 2019 Geo Pro 12SRK which is 12 ft long and has a sofa bed along with a rear kitchen. I'm in my 4 season with it and have gone to so many places that a larger RV just can't get too. I like the fact that pulling a small teardrop like trailer you don't have the stress that comes with a larger trailer in heavy traffic. Anyway, I've only heard good things about the Beans. Enjoy it.
Thanks for watching. We have talked to a lot of people who love their geo pros. The smaller trailers for sure have some advantages.
Not sure the weight on the Bean but that Duramax will probably not even have a decrease in fuel mileage vs.
no trailer at all.
Yeah doesn’t make much difference. I think fully loaded it is 3k.
I laughed out loud when you said you forgot the grill.. too funny. But it happens. My husband forgot his shoes on our last trip (we often travel with only sandals on but keep our shoes by the door). Well he forgot until we got out of the truck to start setting up camp. And it was rainy and cold of course! Lol
Couldn’t believe we forgot it either. 🤦🏼♂️
CHECKLIST!!! Make do without, lesson learned.
Thanks for watching
Don't heat the French press, heat water separately in a kettle and then pour that into the press with the coffee grounds. At least, that's how I do it and then the press handle doesn't get hot :-)
I thought there has to be something I am doing wrong. 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
you don't put a French press on a burner you boil the water in another pot then add it to the French press with the coffee grounds.

I forgot to put the registration sticker on the license last year and had to turn around and go back. It only took 30 minutes but I was pretty disgusted because it was on my punch list. We're ready this year. One year we (I) forgot the camera.
We travel about 300 miles or so per day. Last year we did the full 600 miles to our destination and made it a bit after sunset. We stop every hour or so for a stretch and a break. Otherwise, it's for fuel/grub/refreshments.
Sounds like we travel very similar. We have forgot our camera batteries before as well. Thanks for watching.
Declo Idaho.
Did I say it wrong?
I forgot the key to the hitch lock... setting out on a 10 day trip....
I can see how that would happen very easily.
That looks silly behind a big truck.Just put a truck camp in it
You use what you have.
