Again - Alan's incredible work with arrangement and sound. He "innovate"seven years old song to sound like 90's trip hop and he did it so well. Dave is so charismatic when he whispers " Kiss me" 😂 Devotional- performance without any weak moment 👍
My number 9 of my DM Top Ten!!! Was amazing 1993! Unbelievable and unforgettable and unreachable…
There's a video on UA-cam, that shows the band live in '93 or '94 where Dave stopped singing and brought up a girl on stage to dance with him while they were playing this song. The girl hugged him and kissed him before going back into the audience. (I have a lot of DM trivia in my head!)

Alan used to spend SO MUCH time making those remixes that were used in live-shows. Alan was the sound of DM.

@@wwiitop IDK about partying, he made the impression of him as a pretty introverted person in the documentaries. At least as one myself I saw a lot of signs and body language saying so.
But yeah, he did his job, and did it well. The next ones did it pretty well too according to their later quality and performances, so I still don't understand why are some fans seeing him as some sacred soul of the pure DM essence or something.

When I saw them in Los Angeles I don’t remember them doing this song. Often Depeche Mode will change up a couple songs in their set list if they do multiple shows in one venue. For example, the night I saw them, Martin sang One Caress instead of Judas.

I’ve always loved this song. Alan fought and lost as he really wanted it to be a single but the record people thought it too depressing. It was released on the b side of It’s Called A Heart and I annoyed a whole pub once by putting it on the jukebox 10 times in a row!! Haha! The first sound of it again and groans went up in the pub but I didn’t give a monkeys. I loved the attention Alan put into this mix which hadn’t been played in awhile. I have great memories associated with this song!

Are you going to react to "Strange" (5 songs) and "Strange Too" (6 songs) in the future? Two short DM movies by Anton Corbijn. They were only released on VHS and Laserdisc. I wish they would officially re-release them on a modern format.

One of Alan's jobs was to do the backing tracks and to sort out who played what live. He did so much.
6:20 "WE WAIT YOU - WE LOVE YOU - WELCOME TO BUDAPEST": I suppose they meant that they "are waiting" for the band to appear there.
Which is odd because the ideo footage shot was from France, Germany and Spain.
Alan has such a broad musical background that he had the ability to combine funk, R&b and hip hop elements into DM songs without changing who they were at their core. I wish more alternative groups could do this.
And yes Dave was sexy in this performance…💋

Great new version for that one ;) They did a new version for Something to do who was amazing but sadly they maybe didn’t love it or thought it didn’t fit with the set list and only played it once in Belgium…
and in south africa, I think. 1994. I can´t find it on YT, but I know it was like that.

Seth! No comment regarding the kissing ladies on the mic? By the way, scratching has already been used on the album by GET RIGHT WITH ME. Anyway, that was all Alan. The 1993 tour was on top. 1994 is unfortunately not documented. Well, and Dave even more stoned. But Alan revised the sound again 1994. Again, you are missing 1982, 1983, 1986, 1990, 1994 - LIVE. With, or without Bootlegs. (something exists on Ltd. B-Sides) The rest to date is negligible.
That is a hungarian flag. A few hungarian fans followed the band across the whole german tour. And they were also there in Frankfurt. Do you know that you missed a song after personal jesus? :)

As some have already pointed out below, it seems you've missed a song in the order. After "Personal Jesus" - as you did the other day - "Enjoy the silence" is supposed to come.
"Fly on the windscreen" is played after Enjoy the silence.

Fly on the windscreen although had a remix of it on Black Celebration was a B-side to It's Called A Heart.... Yeah I'm thinking of missed songs here

Hi Seph for the story of Dave's voice, he explains it in the 101 documentary he uses a spray that stimulates the vocal cords prescribed by his doctor. the song is quite confusing once mixed, one of the few that I prefer in the studio version. bye dude 😉
