You give off such a peaceful vibe in this video! I am so happy to hear you're going to therapy and getting into the Word. I can tell you've grown so much in this video. I am "joining" you on your break. My husband and I got pregnant with our second IUI in November but it just ended in a loss last week. I totally understand the need to nurture yourself during this time and am actually looking forward to time off after an almost 2 year journey. I resonate so much with everything you said. Here's to getting healthy (spiritually, mentally, physically) to be the best we can be for ourselves and (lord willing) future baby down the road! :)
I want to start off by saying I’m so sorry…. Going through infertility on top of a miscarriage is something I can’t even fathom. I will be praying for you and your husband during your break. Sometimes I think, maybe a break is something we need after going through fertility treatments. We put ourselves through so much physically, mentally, and emotionally that we forget about ourselves in the process. I’ll be praying that you’ll hear good news soon 🫶🫶🫶
Hi, I am a new subbie but praying for you and your husband. I just want to support journeys! I am hopeful for you. You seem to have a heart of gold. My husband and I are going through our own separate journey. He’s 38 and I’m 34. Just hoping for the best. 💕💕
Thank you so much for following me and my journey! Your support means everything to me 🫶 We got this!!! I will continuously be praying for this community which includes your family. Let’s not lose hope 🤍🤍🤍
You are the same age as me, and your hubby is the same age as mine. Tryjng for just under a year, considering IVF and IUI this year, but really want to conceive naturally 😢😢❤❤
@@kaydeep7880 hi! Yes, I am trying at this age because I grew up believing I should solely focus on school and career. I’ve given so much time to a baby that I could never hold per se…and now I am married and my husband and I lost our second baby a week before our first anniversary last month. I have fully gone through my emotions…I believe God has a special assignment for us as women and with our husbands. If Mary had a baby before ever conceiving with her husband, then I believe God can bring forth life within a womb reserved for a living child. God has you on this journey for a reason! Be patient and cling to your partner. We got this. In due time.
Hey Angie! Thanks for sharing your journey. It's true, everything does NOT revolve around babies. There's SO MUCH MORE TO LOOK FORWARD to in life before a baby does come along! I too am struggling but I'm not as strong as you so I won't be getting an IVF, IUI was already a pain in the ass for me. I'm also taking a break from all this and when the time is right I think God will bless me accordingly, even if it's not a human baby, I'm ok with that! I've learned that there's so many things to nurture in life so we should start doing that instead.
Thank you so much for leaving this comment. To be honest, I don’t think I was ready for IVF either and looking back, I’m not sure how I even came to that conclusion… I was just so blinded that I looked beyond what I think I could handle. You’re so wise to realize that there’s so many things to nurture in life and also to realize to put yourself first. I’ll be praying for you 🙏
Thank you so much for the update 🩷 I know it’s been so hard.. Going to start first IVF this month. There’s been lot of crying and accepting this process. Really thankful for your video!
Thank you so much for reaching out :) I’ll be praying for you as your start your IVF journey. I know exactly what you mean. Accepting the process was very difficult for me as well. As for the financial aspects of it, I still had to pay everything with the procedures and meds I did. I didn’t have to pay for PGTA testing or the freezing/transfer portion of it, but all the services I went through, I had to pay.
@@AngiesTable Ahh yes that makes sense. I was just curious because I was pretty shocked at the IVF portion with insurance it was around 11k without around 16k. Not including medications which cost around 3k with insurance. Does that sound about around how much you also had to pay for? The money part was pretty devastating too. I can’t imagine how we would pay for this if we weren’t able too….
My insurance did cover most of my IVF portion because I have up to $25,000 of coverage for fertility treatment in a lifetime. PLUS I had reached my deductible because of all the IUI’s I did so it didn’t cost too much, luckily. But we did still have to pay a couple thousand out of pocket for IVF!
@@AngiesTable got it 🩷 I was wondering did you have to take Birth Control before starting IVF? I am currently taking APRI BC for 8 days for my process. Just not a fan of BC even In the past.
Appreciate you sharing your journey, I do believe this is one of, if not the hardest thing a woman can go through. I’m also in this journey but I’m encouraged by the many women in the bible who God answered their prayers with a child. I’ll be adding you to my list to pray for 💕
I completely agree with you. It’s been the hardest journey for me but thank you for watching and leaving me this comment. I will definitely be praying for you too 🫶
I came across your video today I just wanna say thank you for being so transparent in your baby journey. It’s so easy to feel alone during the process please know you’re not alone so many women go through this journey. We are 3 years in to our fertility journey and it’s been very challenging as well. I’ll be praying for you and your husband 🙏🏽
Thank you soooo much for leaving this comment. I will continue to pray for all the families going through infertility and for you and your husband as well. Thank you so much for sending good vibes my way 🫶
Oh man my heart breaks for you Angie. It's absolutely devastating and I totally get the complex emotions (including depression, despair, anger, disbelief etc) that goes with unsuccessful ART. First of all, this is not your fault and there isn't anything to be ashamed about. Unfortunately there's a lot of random chance/ luck involved with conception (spontaneous and assisted) which is out of our control, and is incredibly frustrating. I also took a 2-3 month break after my last unsuccessful round which was awful initially because I felt stagnant/ stuck, and back to square one but eventually after a lot of crying, the dark fog is slowly lifting and i'm starting to feel a little bit hopeful again. Having a break is definitely a good idea esp after all the trauma you've been though. My husband and I signed up to yoga classes, went on walks/hikes and I started reading again, which have been helpful. Completely agree with setting boundaries. I had a traumatic experience where a few close friends who surprisingly announced their pregnancies at a public event we attended and then proceeded to say hurtful things to me afterwards when they found out about our fertility issues (not on purpose but I think they just don't know how to deal with the discomfort) and I've decided to minimise contact with these friends at least for now, which has been better for my mental health. Also you don't have to set a time limit on your break, you can restart when you both feel ready. Or if you don't want to, that's ok! And you're right, there is so much more to life than babies; hard to remember when we're so fixated on this goal. I really hope you have a peaceful, healing and contentful 2025 Angie! You are definitely not alone! ❤
I found listening to podcasts from people with lived experience made the process slightly less lonely. For some reason this podcast helped me a lot Magic Mindset: The FertiliTEA Podcast
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️ for now, this break feels so right. We’re just taking it easy and just enjoying our lives, us two. I’m so sorry about your traumatic experiences… that would make me so upset 😭 I don’t think I could’ve handled it like you did. Hoping 2025 is going to be the year 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for sharing your story. I just went through an ectopic pregnancy and lost a tube. We started thinking about IVF in order to prevent another surgery, but I had no idea what was involved. Blessings and baby dust to you ❤
Oh no, I’m so sorry…. My heart aches for you. If you ever need someone to talk, don’t hesitate to reach out! Sending blessings and baby dust to you as well 🫶🫶🫶
Not directly to do with the IVF, but did they check correctly your thyroïd function (TSH, T4, T3 but also the antibody's against it)? I wanted to send a PM, but I don't know how 😅
Thanks for watching! Yes! We’ll reassess it once we feel like we’re ready to revisit it after the break from fertility treatments. Thanks for the warm wishes!!
Sorry this happened to you. Although I dont understand how they retrieved one egg? Here in the US they monitor and look at the eggs through out the stims. Plus your antral follicle count (AFC) should give a good idea on how many number of follicles you have and the eggs retrieved should be closer to this number. Did they give a reason why they were only able to retrieve one egg? Was the IVF protocol used not right for your body?
The last ultrasound was 3 days before the procedure and I believe I ovulated 1-2 days before the procedure. When we got to the egg retrieval day, all the follicles were empty because they’ve been released…
@@AngiesTable I’m sorry about that. Did they not do an ultrasound before putting you under? I’m not sure I understand why they put you under if you had already ovulated. Also some clinics here do egg retrievals in luteal phase
@@AngiesTable I also wanted to add that clinics here often add a medication to prevent you from ovulating prematurely. And then you do the trigger shot. was this same for you?
@@SS-yz1ms they didn’t do it right before… I was on injections to make me drop multiple eggs but not on drugs to prevent me from ovulating. I did a final injection to ensure I ovulate within 36 hrs from egg retrieval, but I had ovulation cramps the day I did the injection to make me ovulate. I believe I ovulated then..
