Well I don’t know why your first video I couldn’t get the slide stop back in so then I watched this one and successfully installed and lubed and ready to go thank you for the great video
Great video, but if you spend that much time you should break down and clean/oil the Dawson Precision Tool less guide rod and recoil spring, as well as remove and clean the firing pin/spring, and the extractor. I was at the Staccato Ranch for their Fundamentals Training 1 and 2 this weekend, and they recommend removing the firing pin and extractor when doing a full cleaning. Carbon build-up on the extractor can lead to jams. You don't need to do it every time you shoot, but if you put 400-500 rounds through it, do a full breakdown. They also say that for the P, you should replace the recoil spring every 5,000 rounds (25,000 rounds for the firing pin spring, and main spring). Removing the firing pin and extractor is tricky at first, but once you get it down it isn't so bad. Everyone in our class of 8 was able to do it on the first day and repeat it on the second day within a few minutes.
This guy made this looks so easy...
It really is that easy though

Wipe off what excess? You didn't even apply lubricant.
thanks, 1st time always a little rough with the slide catch but after that every time has been smooth!!! Thanks, take care of your Staccatos y’all ;).
You’re not alone lol. Took me a little longer my first time around
Good vid! Clear, concise and well done. Thanks!

Thank you for this very clear and precise video on cleaning the P. Helped quite a bit.
I'm just now finding out the entire firearms community has been mispronouncing this company's name for over 100 years
I thought it was pronounced “hops”
Where can I find your threaded barrel?
Awesome video helped me alot thank you
Crazy how their oil is rated for -65 even though it will freeze and gum up just being inside of a freezer.
😃
bizarre would have expected lubricant before reassembling
Same
I can’t put this gun back together. Dang!
Did you get it figured out?
