Thank you for you kind feedback Dave Austin! 😊 Yes, I also was very surprised by all I learned when I began to really study American English pronunciation a few years ago! Speech is so automatic, there is a lot happening we never think about!
Why this extremely good channel is not growing rapidly.. Content, presentation , quality of production, response on comments, look and personality everything is so good . Infact it is much better in comparison to many English channels with millions of view.. UA-cam algorithm is definitely having some flaws where it doesn't support excellent channel many a times and promote average channels.. Am I wrong? But this perception is their after seeing so many evidences.
Thank you Dr Avyact Agrawal for this very kind note and such strong words of support! You feedback means a great deal to me- so glad you are enjoying the lessons and finding the materials helpful! 😊💙
9:25 "I hope you found this lesson helpful" - This lesson is a gem, an eye opener - it explains the inexplicable pronunciation that until now it seemed random.
As a teacher of English,I can comprehend and enjoy your approach in teaching pronunciation.I wish I had a teacher like you, many years ago when I was a student at university .Things would have been a lot easier for me.I should confess one thing, before your lessons I was kind of unaware of the existence of 'schwa sound'.For some reason I associate schwa with you.For me you are Mrs. Schwa. To make the long word short, you are an awesome teacher.
IT REALLY IS EVERYWHERE! I've been trying to improve my english by getting it to a native level, but so far I've been stuck. I have learned lots of words throughout the years, but my pronunciation is holding me back. Now that I began to learn the IPA (especially SCHWA) hopes have sparked once again on achieving that goal someday. Thanks for helping me Keenyn.
Hi Keenyn! I'm a native English speaker, but your lessons are eye-opening for me! When you break down English like this, it's easy to see why it can be a difficult language to learn! The fact that ANY vowel in the English can make the schwa sound just blew my mind! I've never even realized that. Of course, you don't think about these things as you're speaking, you know? You just...talk. :P Amazing stuff! I'm learning French and I struggle with the French R, which apparently is quite a common problem when learning French. Anyway, I was curious to see how the English R sound was taught to English learners and that's how I discovered your videos. I love them, keep up the good work! And to anyone out there learning English, don't give up!!! :D
Thank you kdowning73! What a great note! 😊 I know, when I started studying pronunciation I was fascinated by all the intricacies I had never even considered. My respect for English learners is immense!! And best wishes to you with French- that R is very distinct and challenging!
I love ur videos alot Ive learned alot from u about correct pronounciation and American accent like vowel and I would like to get more videos like that *#keenye*
Hi Keenyn, Long time no talk; hope all is well! For Schwas, I came up with a principle: "A vowel not stressed is pronounced as “ə” (American English)". It is easy for my students to remember, and they have found it helpful. Best, Albert
Stay strong with your goals, Kunj Thakkar. You have your reasons for pursuing whatever style of speaking you choose- whether it be the customers and clients you interact with daily, your goals for international travel or experiences, or just simply your preference! I think it's AWESOME to work to learn another language and become wonderful at speaking it! You have my utmost respect 😊
Keenyn is one of the best teachers who presents the lessons of pronunciation because of her easy and simple way in showing the information ... I've listened to the video two times about the sound of Schwa and when it is stressed, unstressed and reduced ... It is really more interesting and exciting ... Thanks a lot
According to me, this is the most importan lesson to understand english language. Over all it give us a super important explanation of why we are not able to understand the words we KNOW when a native speaker is talking. What a frustrating!
Qué bello habla esta profesora. Yo apenas sé unas pocas cosas de inglés y le entiendo todo lo que dice con bastante claridad. Seguiré aquí en este canal que encontré por casualidad
SCHWA!!!! It's an important issue about English pronunciation that makes this language a little bit hard to learn when our first language is syllable-timed, such as Portuguese (my case). Not only that, but also different ways to pronounce a same letter, like T. See the word "LITERATURE": lots of SCHWA and a flat T becoming this word pretty hard to understand once you hear it, and to pronounce it. But with practice I will get it!!!!
I've got a massive improvement after knowing those sounds and the way of stressing.. actually this made me to sound like a native speaker . I'm always grateful for you keenyn .stay happily as always
How is it so important and how i missed these type of professional teaching. Sincerely you are so professional and you really make us generously benefit of your deep work. Please don't give up making more endeavor in this regards...thank you very much for every professional lesson you give us.👌👍🙏

Hello professor Thank you so much for your priceless advice and interesting guidance. I love your way of teaching. You are an excellent teacher I wish you peace and happiness under the sky of prosperity.
you really must be more popular then your courses are more easy than i've imagined, that look with your eyes can make hitler dancing, what a wonderful way to learn.
I have problems with my pronunciation of this particular sound. Sometimes I lose confidence when I'm trying to speak to a native speaker because I mixed up Spanish vowel sounds and English vowel sounds. I would say that sound is so tricky but just smart practice makes perfection. However, thanks for the lesson and thanks for sharing your knowledge :D
Heard about the sound so many times, but only now fully grasped what it exactly means. Btw, started watching your videos a few weeks ago (one lesson before breakfast) and found out lots of useful things to improve my pronunciation. Some things like, for example, the difference between -n and ng was literally open minded. I've been practicing speaking English for about 2 years and only now learned that n and -ng must be made by a different position of the tongue. Thanks a lot, Keenyn, appreciate your job.
Hi - Great information and teaching - so clear. I want to point out that at 8:50 "individual" you also have two shwas worthy of comment , as with the word "analysis" that follows. Thank you for your excellence!
