I’ve watched a lot of guinea pig videos on UA-cam and it’s really nice to see someone that looks after them properly. Not everyone does that, so thank you for be a good role model :))))
It really is a dream to be able to have such sweet piggies. But it’s a lot of work. So I don’t advise it to people who want a life outside of cleaning and caring for them. ☺️✌🏽
@@SaayBug I would walk for a day for my puppy- although I don't have an attachment to the lil pigs, my dog is a different story. I am caring for her 24/7- lol. Love the set up!

He’s a big boy for sure. He’s a rescue who was living in a very small cage and had no space to roam about but I’ve had him a year and he still a big boy so I guess that’s his happy weight🤷🏻♀️😁

This is heaven to me. I have two guinea pigs but I would love more. I love learning new things about them, my favourite thing is when they popcorn when I clean them out haha
I love that you have different herds. I always thought a herd had to be just one. I've tried to integrate all 6 of my girl piggies into a herd. Now I see it's ok to have 2 herds instead. Thank you for this! ☺️ Also I have a suggestion about the storage of your pellets. A more opaque storage bin might be better, to protect them from light. The Vitamin C in the pellets can be destroyed by exposure to light.
None of my males wanted to integrate. So once all my males were 4 weeks out from being neutered I found them all females. Which also wasn’t easy. One of males I tried pairing with a female fought bad. But she and another male got along swimmingly. I didn’t realize at first how difficult it could actually be making a herd and finding compatible pairs. They have taught me a lot! I separate any of my passive ones who are being overly bossed around by another pig. I found one of my females wasn’t get to eat enough bc another female wasn’t letting her. So I took the passive one out and paired her with a male and they very peacefully together and share.

I get some liners from guinea dad. They are great and my pigs love the pocket/tent version. For my cages I use two layers of uhaul moving pads (make sure it’s the uhaul kind other versions don’t absorb as well) and then I put a fleece layer on top. If you check out my “cleaning my DIY cage” video I show how I do the uhaul liners.✌🏽
Of course! Research and UA-cam is how o figured out the best/most cost effective way to care for my pigs. It really helps seeing what other people do for theirs. Making my own litter boxes really helped maintain the cleanliness of my cages.

This just makes me want to give my guinea pig a great life. I feel bad because I can’t do much for her right now because I live with my parents and I will for at least 2 more years. Once I move out and get a house I’m gonna devote a bedroom to her and get her some more friends.

12 pigs! I have 3 and it's a lots of work. 12 must be a full time job!
It is a lot of work! 3-4 hours daily of cleaning, water refills, feeding, meds… it’s definitely a job😅
