TOYOTA STARLET Double Hayabusa V8 || 10.500RPM Monster ONBOARD

- Arguably the most spectacular and unique Toyota Starlet in HillClimb Racing , this is Mikko Kataja´s Toyota Starlet KP62, once fitted with a 260Hp/11.000Rpm 4A-GE engine but now taking afar more extreme path, using now a "Double Hayabusa V8". In this case it´s a RP-FE unit, using a bespoke Bloc and twin Hayabusa Heads for quite spectacular effect. Still in the beggining of its development, it is already producing over 340Hp/10.500Rpm, all while moving only 740Kg. Fitted with a paddle-operated 6-speed Sequential Gearbox and totally converted in "Euro-HillClimb" spec since returning to Europe in 2018 after a USA adventure which saw this diminutive Monster tackle Pikes Peak and Mt. Washington before, here we can see it on its very first event since having the V8 engine swapped, at Wolsfeld.

The look of mischief in the guy's eyes in the beginning is perfect
Good lord! That’s a handful of madness. Love it
Hello!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
I agree 110% with you!!!!
Have a great continuation.
😉👍👍👍👌
@@rnor3146 Thanks. Same to you
@@Invisibleman7 🙏😌😉👍👌
@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist0 What? 😳
W.T.F. has this got to do with a racecar? 🤷♂️🤦♂️🙄@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist0
this car and its story is so awesome. built all the way back in early 2000s or before. started as a local finnish forest rally car with the little old 4k. same color scheme still used to this day, but the build keeps on evolving. new more crazier engines and bodywork over the years. raced all over the world. seriously very cool.
car and owner story that every car enthusiast should dream of.
Even on our Channel one can see 5 different videosof it, all with different versions of this machine ;)
At least we Finish have one hillclimb monster😊 Go Mikko go🇫🇮
Gotta have more in the future!!
SUOMI MAINITTU TORILLA TAVATAAN PERKELEE!!!
Them Bussa V8s are fiery blocks of madness. 😂
Of all we have on our Channel, they never fail to deliver...
@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist0if jesus doesn't like this car, I don't have a use for him
Yes Amen that is so , praise Jesus ☝️@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist0
That smile says it all. Sheer madness
A smile any petrolhead can recognize ;)
Now that's one Happy Little Monster
Insane build ❤ I owned an ep82 Starlet GT turbo throughout my 20s. Awesome car, good times.
Oh wow...insane
Love how quick it revs. Mega.
Proper Screamer ;)
Crazy build 🤯
Good Lord that looks like a handful! I love that such a happy-faced car is such a wild thing to drive. Pure energy.
Glorious chaos! ❤❤❤👍🏼
Hillclimb has the most amazing builds, hands down
Little beast!! 👍🙂💛
Fabulous hands full of fun!
This car needs a documentary.
Hmmm...ideas ideas...
That is a freakin' weapon ! I am loving it. " Competitive" handling characteristics. Keep her between the hedges. Thanks for the upload.
it sounds amazing
Fantastic little car with an awesome engine! Great video!
Thanks!!
These guys used to have a 12000 RPM 4A-GE in that Starlet before. That engine sounded way better IMO.
You can still enjoy on our Channel. We have 3 different videos with it still powered by the 4A-GE ;)
Really? They replaced the formula Atlantic 4age with this?
The JUDD V8 sounds better.. But I suppose costs appreciably more.
@@orest395 we never had Atlantic engine ;)
The formula Atlantic 4age revs to 12k
Look cool car in the Competitif car!!
Good job VHTRACING👍
Effin' Awesome!
This car evolves ever couple of years and i love it
Le´s see where it´ll go from here...
Little beast 👍🏼
I love that insane car ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Onnea Mikko! Tuo Toyota on täydellinen. Hyvä ääni.
I love how it sounds and drives....nice handiwork
Thanks for this one... sweet.
Our pleasure ;)
When 'more' just isn't enough. 😁
Its a joy shifting from 1st to 5th and then neatly downshifting to back to 1st upon approaching corners
That is so refreshing to hear....🎉
Proper NA symphony ;)
Starlets rock. V8 Starlets rule !
Farkling Fantastic!
Magnificent 💯💯
Thanks!!
That is nuts
OMG i love this so much!! :D My mom back in the late 80´s had one of those IRL, not like this though... hahaha
Mikko got hands boy!
A peak at 0,9G on second gear at WOT! Respect for a NA engine (with great traction/tires)!
And this was just the very first event the car did since fitting the V8 engine. Plenty of development to be made...
Niiice!!👍😊
Thanks!!
No fear for revs😅 epic car/engine❤
That thing is terrifying.
What a thing!❤
Ranks very high in the Coolness meter for sure...
Riding the Cannonball!
Dude!!it gives to you a devil eyes when you play with the throttle !!😂
Epic car ❤
Incredible car and even better driver 🎉
Mikko really stands out for sure, bth in driving skill and car uniqueness..
Is it the same engine used by Radical and TC2000 touring cars?
Yes
That don't sound like no v8 i ever heard... Love it
It sounds like a Buza with echo, but not a V8
Nice and twitchy! 👍💪✌
Not twitchy, responsive!
I love when people make v8's with inline 4's from bikes😎🔥😎🥳, the sounds and revs to the moon
And this one´s only on the beginning of it´s develpment...
NZ company Synergy was making V8s from two Kawasaki ZX12R motors. With various bore and crank mods, could be from 2400cc to 3100cc. Was used in a few dirt sprint cars and circuit racers with great success.
@@pvanb291 Pretty sure someone in the UK was making Yamaha V8's, too. Bless all their cotton socks.
Hats off to the driver. There's one time there where he just about lost it before a corner and he not only corrected it, but also successfully held his line through the corner without any obvious slowdown
This car would absolutely TERRIFY me and he's got it wrapped around his finger. What a badass.
star(let)hayabusa ❤️
Alter, was für ne Terrorkarre ❤
His horsepower academy:Tuned in podcast feature was awesome. Made me want to go buy all the Bosch motorsports electronics, then I remembered I’m poor😢
Yeah, Mikko really doesn´t do anything in halves..
Starlet ???????? This is crazy 😍😍😍😍
To be honest at this point the car brands are nothing more but the general shape of the body work 😂
absolutely crazy this car....
Right up there...
I wanna see more of this lil monster
There´ll be more. And you can also follow the driver/buider YT Channel ;)
What an amazing machine! Hope to see it again at Trento Bondone this year 😁
Have a feeling he is not missing any edition of Trento as long as the Starlet lives :D
This year we might have to skip Trento Bondone, because week before that we have a race in GHD Gorjanci in Slovenia and at the end of June we have the Coppa Paolino Teodori race, in Italy. Sorry.
@@katikataja3410 we'll be filming in Gorjanci too, so all good 🏁
Seeing the images filmed from the side of the track: I could do that.
Images from inside the car: Nope.
The reality of HillClimb Racing ;)
Ya man, just shift at 10k, it'll be fine. LOVE IT!
Not even that much for a bike engine ✌
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
dreamy
😮uaaauu👏👏👍
Good car
What a riot
Finally 👍👍🤞🤞🍹🍹🍹
;)
You mast be a very good driver to drive this Toyota Starlet
I bet that guy's arms are jacked wrestling that little beast of a car.
Mikko´s Finnish :D
Superbe travail 👍 en caméra embarquée, on voit quand même une légère dérive lors des accélérations : le châssis et les pneumatiques supportent difficilement le couple. Trop légère ?
i hope Mikko has a pilot's license..
that thing flies 😳
He is riding a cannonball😁😁😁
64'ther 👍👍
Kommentar
Love that possessed look when he accellerates😂
Sountrack helps :P
Incredible engine noise.
Well, given the architecture... :P
❤❤❤❤
Хорош!
KP!KP!
Hahaa! Just the look on his face as he blips the throttle!
Idle at 2000 rpm is nice
Absolute fucking Madlad!!
That engine is so insane that the tachometer cant keep up.
ahhaaha just love this! the real human-machine agenda
Well protected in HillClimb Racing ;)
very good 🚗🛞 😎 cool ..😊
Thanks!
We need a rally conversion on this stat
トヨタ スターレット👍️😀
Unhinged 😃
He's fighting more against the car than the course. Needs more downforce. What a monster of a car
That's what I thought. More downforce or wider tyres.
Thought this looked familiar, sure enough its the same legendary Starlet from Finnish rally scene.
"double Hayabusa" definitely isnt something I expected to read today... seems to be a quite dynamic setup as well.
There are more (and different) V8 Hayabusa Monsters on our Channel ;)
That crazy wing has changed the balance of the Starlet
We´ll guess fitting a V8 also contributed :P
Jesus!
No, it's Mikko! 😉😁
Wonder what happened to the old motor, did he get rid of it or blow it up?
Simply swapped. If you check VHTRacing´s channel they have more information anout it ;)
Lawwwwd why does it feel so good to be bad
2.6 litre and 340hp and it's a menace, just add two turbos and 4wd and it's going to be as quick as F1 bolid
While keeping it NA, there´s still a good 50 to 80 Hp to be unleashed ;)
I don’t see a second engine, I think they meant two hayabussa engines, but it’s one v8
looks sooooo light (-8
It is so light.
Almost bought one of these a decade ago
Getting costlier by the day now...
@@HillClimbMonstersright- people are trying to sell stock MR2s for 9k!
Holy fu*kin sh*t !
:D
Just need to sort the rear suspension so you can use more of the power.
