      I disagree. The more expensive cuts of meat have never been compared to regular cuts of meat in any studies. I personally, cannot stand the taste of grass fed beef, because it's tough and chewy as it is lacking in the fats. But, you can compare a ribeye steak with another type of fatty steak and they are both equivalent in health results. As long as you are getting enough fat in your diet, along with beef, the more expensive cuts are unnecessary in the overall health that a meat eating diet provides. And when you eat extremely lean pieces of meat, like round sirloin or grass fed ground beef, you are lacking in the fats, and you need to supplement fats from other pieces of meat so the price of grass fed beef is wasted because it's not as healthy without fat.

    • @engelbrechtj7
      @engelbrechtj7 9 місяців тому

      Any fat cuts in nature aside extreme latitudes? I’ve found the fat content is not as important as made out. The fat is simply to obtain the fat soluble vitamins and gal activity. Really don’t need that much fat as can be seen in wild animals at vast majority of latitudes.

    From a traditional Chinese medical perspective, chronic emotional stress depletes our adrenal chi which puts us in a really weakened, very yin state. Animal food is yang and strengthening, sugar, flour, starches, processed foods are very yin and depleting. Eventually when the energy imbalances are normalized, one can move toward more plants again. Experiment, see what works. Also emotional healing is very important because that's the first cause of all illness. Peace!

    ME TOO! I am hypermobile ,but don't qualify for EDS yet. University of Medicine South Carolina has identified the culprit gene for the 13 th category of EDS. Testing may be available in a year or so. I have Sjogren's (congenital). I was born with my feet in complete circles and had full leg casts the first 6 months of life. I have had many freak infections and autoimmune. I am intolerant/allergic of wheat, cow's milk, soy and Sucrose Intolerant. I have either been super healthy and super strong or a blown-up blob wasting and undiagnosable hot mess. I also had a diagnosis of Crohn's but later retracted and considered IBS with food intolerances. The strong times ( super healthy energetic muscle strength) were very limited diets aka almost carnivore . I have searched and researched endlessly. I chose to purposely start carnivore July 4, 2023. It is my miracle. Shout it out!! The reversal of years and resurgence of health and strength is truly miraculous! God Bless

    My father and my grandmother both died from complications around immune disorders. It makes me cry when I realize how simple it could have been to help them with their conditions (I never knew my grandmother) had we known about this 25 years ago even when my father died at 56. I am now 58. He didn't eat a poor diet but it was undoubtedly higher in things he couldn't tolerate and lower in foods that should have healed him. I would say seed oils and wheat being the bad and animal foods being the good.

    Finding this video was a bit of a relief for me. I have Elhers Danlos, fibromyalgia, continuous chronic pain, arthritis, MCAS, migraines, Lyme, stage 4 endometriosis, and the list goes on. After 18 months carnivore, I wasn't seeing any improvements. I was eating cheese, cream, eggs, mostly beef, but also other meats, along with butter and tallow. It was frustrating to see people commenting that magically after 3 weeks all their pain had disappeared when after a year and a half I was still struggling with everything. I'm thinking now that I need to go pure beef and tallow.
    I've been doing so for 2 months now and it felt reassuring to hear Rachel went 8 mos on just beef before feeling like she'd attained healing. I was starting to feel really hopeless, but now my hope has been renewed, and that is no small thing. I am also severely underweight so I will also increase the number of meals I'm having. I just found in some personal research recently that carnivores can get very adequate amounts of vitamin C if consuming organ meats in addition to muscle meats. Animal organs are (surprisingly) very high in vitamin C! That explains how our ancestors did well on meat without adding supplementation or vitamin C containing plants; they ate the entire animal tip to tail.

      It's still not always enough for some people. I ate organ meats but still developed signs of vit C deficiency like bleeding gums and bruising. It resolved after adding lemon juice to my water. People battling certain conditions and that have gastrointestinal issues can have a higher need for vit C. Elliot Overton on EONutrition has very informative videos about this. Too much vit C isn't good either though bcs the excess turns into oxalates.

I had six damaged nerves. I was on lots of medications, for 15 years. I had a doctor's appointment in August 2023. My doctor was shocked because I took myself off all medications, including the pain meds. The chronic pain and hundreds of electrical daily shocks had stopped. Thanks to the low carb diet. On March 4th I had two minor strokes. Spent one day and one night in the hospital. Now I trying two things. One is a very low carb diet. The second is, I am learning several new things every day, mainly medical, science and Ham radio topics, so I can make different/new connections in the brain. Not many with EDS are sharing about carnivore online, so that's why I really feel a pull to share a message of hope to those people. I know how difficult it is to live with severe illness. And there is so much hope for healing. Just because a doctor says an illness is incurable and lifelong doesn't mean they're right.
      P.S. I actually know people with worse EDS than I had that are healing with carnivore / animal-based and brain retraining. ❤I'm astounded by the amount of people that have messaged me and would love to create a library of stories of healing from EDS. The more sharing, the better!

Many more diagnosis later and i was at the desperate for any help stage. Ran into carnivore as i had started intermittent fasting and was seriously considering keto for my liver health. Started carnivore not much later and my life is completely different. No more resting for 2 hrs or more after 10 mins of work. No more persistent nausea or migraines. No more IBS or sibo symptoms. @@CoachStephenI should say first that I am not a carnivore, but that I follow people discussing this lifestyle because I agree with it. I have always thought about the vitamin C question. Many carnivores don't supplement and do just fine. Then I saw a comment that said that meat (probably referring to red meat but not 100% sure) contains DHA which is oxidized vitamin C, it's not measured in meat (not sure why not) but that DHA is a more accesible/absorbable form of vitamin C and therefore fresh meat should be sufficient to give us the vitamin C we need. I am personally not opposed to consuming more vitamin C but personally would prefer to do it through food than supplements so fresh fruit, citrus, saurkraut even.
      Vitamin C is more essential for joint, hair, skin, nail health than it is part of the immune system in my humble opinion.
      My father had a debilitating immune disorder which saw him to an early grave from heart disease in his mid 50s. My grandmother the same, so there is obviously either a dietary issue or genetic or a connection between the two. I do believe the right diet can fix or prevent these issues.

    I'm also happy she brought up that some people might require a bit more vit C than others bcs it certainly is often "brushed away", as you said, in the carnivore community. I've been heckled and accused of "not doing it right" for just mentioning that I developed signs of vit C deficiency a couple of months into carnivore. What people need to understand is that it IS possible for most people to get enough vit C on carnivore BUT that doesn't mean that some people don't need a bit more though! This can be bcs of serious digestive damage or conditions that requires a bit higher need for vit C. When I reintroduced lemon juice to my water my bleeding gums stopped. Taking high doses of supplemental vit C isn't a good idea either though bcs the excess turns into oxalates. Best to get it from a food source, if possible. And no, the vit C in organ meats wasn't enough for me atleast. Also, if I could afford to eat like Dr Chaffe or Dr Baker (big fresh steaks that's rare inside) I might not have needed the lemon juice. But I live on disability and I buy mostly ground beef on sale and I have to freeze it. So first, the meat is aged for a couple of weeks before it comes to the store and that degrades the vit C. Then I freeze it and that degrades it further. Then I cook it ofc and I'd be very surprised if there were just any vit C left by that time. I was concerned about this before starting carnivore and I asked a couple of well known carnivores about this, describing my situation, and they assured me that I had nothing to worry about. Imagine my surprise when my gums started to bleed and I noticed bruises on my body...I'm meticulous with my oral health and I have never had issues with bleeding gums previously. And when it went away after reintroducing lemon juice (bcs increasing organ meats, as suggested by some, didn't help) it went away. But as I said, whenever I have brought this up in comment sections or fb groups I've been met with rather rude comments. I can't for the life of me understand WHY this is such a sensitive topic for some.😅 Why is it so difficult to understand that some people might have different needs bcs of different circumstances? It's not bcs there is something wrong with the carnivore diet in it self!
    I have to point out to anyone reading this that the attitudes I've met regarding vit C has NEVER happened on this channel though! That's why I like Stephen (and Richard) so much bcs they are not dogmatic and they understand that there are nuances to this.☺️🪷

      @cammieklund - I agree with you that some, possibly a lot of people, require more Vitamin C,D etc because most people that feel the need to go on such restrictive diets do so mainly due to digestive issues. And most digestive issues result in the inability to absorb adequate amounts of certain nutrients. I’ve been battling chronic gum issues and bruising too and have been intuitively thinking about vitamin C as well throughout carnivore.

      I'm vegan, 77, doing fine. But .... I do agree, it's not good to be dogmatic about 'our way'! I've certainly had a LOT of rudeness from others, meat eaters, especially going back in years. I wasn't always vegan either. As a child and a young woman, I was an ardent meat and dairy lover. It was due to health issues, and 'listening' to my body that led me eventually to being firstly vegetarian and then primarily vegan, although I've always said I'll never give up my butter!! 😊
      It was great listening to Rachel, and reading your comments. I have two lovely friends, one living two minutes walk from here, and the other in the previous town where I lived. They are both just skin and bone, terrible for them. One is basically vegan, the other one is the opposite. I've just decided that I'm going to ask them both if they'd consider looking into trying carnivore.
      I think there's numerous things that contribute to the incredibly wide variety of 'illnesses' attacking people, from babies to little children, teens and into adults.
      Lifestyle is definitely a strong contributing factor. I also think the medical industry has a lot to answer for. Too many immunisations, very much including the cvd injection. I could go on a lot more. I also think having no belief in God and prayer has brought a terrible downfall for humanity.
      Anyway, I certainly wish all the best for you. I'll health is/can be an seemingly unbearable journey that isn't of our choosing, but we have to bear it. You, Rachel, and many others, including myself, find our way to answers, different success stories!💞🌷💞

    This is an amazing story of healing through food. Thank you for sharing this. It gives me hope.
    - Have you heard of anybody healed, or much improved, from M.E/Cfs? It's a horribly debilitating illness, and there is no real medical help to be found.
    I've had this illness for 20 years, and it's left me near bed bound. I can't cook, nor drive a car. I've often felt like a ninety year old at the end of the road... Totally depleted batteries.
    Jumping on Carnivore with hope of improving as much as possible - long term.

      There’s so much hope for healing ME/CFS. I met the diagnostic criteria with severe PEM but was never evaluated. Now don’t have any crashes ❤ I’ve encountered probably hundreds of people who have recovered from ME. I’d highly recommend looking into brain retraining as well as a carnivore / animal-based diet. ME is a huge sign of having a dysfunctional nervous system stuck in “fight or flight”. Hoping all the best for you!!

      @@RibeyeRach Thanks for your kind reply. In my twenty years of illness, and contact with this patient group, I haven't met even ONE who has been correctly diagnosed with ME/Cfs, that has recovered significantly.
      And there are thousands of us here in Sweden.
      So whenever I hear claims of 'hundreds recovering', I can't help getting sceptical.
      - I don't believe in 'brain training', since the illness isn't in the mind, but is multi systemic.
      - Therefore, I think Carnivore is probably one of the best ways of eating for something like this. And I will keep on doing it as strict as possible, for as long as it takes to see improvement.

I started noticing weakness in my early 30s, but it likely started in my mid 20's. I'm 64 now. 😔

      Yes, you can ease into it through keto/low carb. But pasture raised eggs and grass fed butter and beef are healing and pretty well tolerated even when you're transitioning into a more animal based diet. With your challenges, you probably shouldn't try abrupt carnivore (the temporary side effects can be uncomfortable). But start by removing all sugar and grains, lower other carbs as well as oxylate plant sources (spinach, almonds, etc), and add more fat and meat. Very best wishes to you!

    • @annihilationHaven
      @annihilationHaven 10 місяців тому

      So you can't tell that these folks pushing eating animal carcasses are all vicious liars???? I have to admit, although I primarily like to be a bible basher because it's so important, this new carcass thing is like a new train wreck that has a ton of people apparently falling for it. The reason why the Japanese eat wasabi and ginger with their raw sushi is because it helps counter the bacteria that inevitably is consumed with the rotting fish. These carcass nutties are trying to tell people that the original diet of humans going back to before the discovery of fire and cooking, even though we don't have the teeth or digestive system for it, even though animal asses aren't appetizing in the least, even though once they are slaughtered, they rot very quickly, etc etc etc, they still tell us that eating a raw cow's ass is both healthy and normal.
      LOL, I'm just using that as an example to show how freakin' easy their argument falls apart - everyone with half a brain cell knows if you eat raw animal carcasses, you will end up with parasites eventually. BTW, I'm not saying I can help heal you - I'm just pointing out these people are frauds and you're way way way way way way way better off listening to a real doctor. Look at Dr. Morse and compare the HUGE difference between these fake doctors on y/t and his approach. He actually has patients and heals them.
      These frauds use perfectly healthy people as evidence that their approach works, in addition to their usual fraudulent, tobacco science data. You can make data do anything you want it to. In the bigger picture, of course, once you understand that the people running the money institution are primarily interested in population control, their fake money chases people's weaknesses and tries to make them weaker. It pains me to have to explain this to people, it really does, I figured out all of this stuff in my early 30's.

    Great interview. Her conclusion is similar to what I have come to believe.
    I have added vitamin c, selenium, magnesium, and iodine in my diet. I have severe nerve damage, arthritis, and neurological problems that the supplements have been key to helping me continue to heal.
    It’s not an easy journey but there’s such a difference in my body when I can stay on track.

    I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme in 2017; at that point I'd had symptoms for 20+ years. Been carnivore since 1/26/24 and watching a lot of videos about anything that might pertain to health and diet. This is *by far* the best I've seen with regard to the mental side of battling a disease. I'd be interested in learning where Rachel learned her visualization technique(s). All attempts for me have ended in failure. BTW, first time I've watched any of your videos and you could've knocked me over with a feather when you said your age!!

    @RibeyeRach you mentioned that you have come across a number of individuals with various CHRONIC health conditions that have done the carnivore diet. I have a rare Motor Neuron Disease called Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) which is similar to ALS. I went from a super fit and healthy female to being unable to walk or talk in a couple of years. I am wondering if you or @CoachStephen or anyone else, have come across anyone with either PLS or ALS who has tried the carnivore diet and have managed to reverse their symptoms?

    Yes, Rachael, Vitamin C is important in knitting muscle tissue together. I learned this after three C-sections and trying for a natural birth with the fourth. I read so many books during that pregnancy and have changed my whole attitude at that point in my life. I've had five natural home births after that , But,...the Vit C supplementation was the start of realizing I may be deficient in some things. Years later, I discovered the Keto and then last year the carnivore lifestyle.

      Great comment. Of course vitamin C is in animal products and you need less than the 'RDA' as it's not in competition with dietary carbohydrates for receptor sites. Thanks for commenting

    I’m REALLY glad that she’s doing so well so PLEASE do NOT misunderstand what I am saying here……. I too have been very sick for a long time however I have been getting well rather slowly. I was considering doing a brain retraining program and I listened to Rachel crediting her recovery from doing brain retraining and now it seems that she is saying that it is a carnivore diet that has helped her. I have not heard this entire interview yet so perhaps she mentions the brain retraining program as part of it. I would really like to know what has helped her the most because I have many problems she’s had and have thought of the carnivore diet but I had been doing a very restricted diet for a long time with a lot of beef and I’m quite sick of it.
    I don’t know how to make myself eat more than 4 ounces of meat per day. Anyone have any suggestions ?

    • @ninamarie9827
      @ninamarie9827 9 місяців тому +1

      YAY….. She does mention the brain retraining and I think she did that first so now I wished I had listened to the entire video first. BTW I also have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and too many neurosurgeries AND I have chronic Lymes and also chronic mycoplasma infecting my RBC’s. I stopped eating most fruits and vegetables years ago because I was diagnosed with a salicylate sensitivity AND I have mast cell activation disorder so I’m low histamine. THOSE two diets got me out of bed. Now I need to figure out how to like eating meat again. 😁

      @@CoachStephenit's not rare. It's poorly understood, often unrecognized and misdiagnosed. In 2017 the diagnostic criteria were changed to recognize hEDS as a spectrum disorder including HSD(hypermobility spectrum disorder). That change, along with growing awareness overall has dramatically increased the number of people being identified. Not that many years ago they used to think hEDS was 1 in 10,000. Then they changed it to 1 in 5,000. Now the number is 1 in 500, which by definition is not a rare diagnosis.

    • @bellagrace3109
      @bellagrace3109 9 місяців тому +1

      There are some strict diagnostic criteria which should be predicated by specialist tests. for diagnosing EDS . In New Zealand where I live hardly anyone has heard of EDS so it’s challenging to get treatment . I wish I had gone carnivore when i was in the injured bedridden stage. Great story. And yes Rachel is very blessed.
