School is back in session for this week's Game the Game! Becca is joined by Markeia McCarty, Ivan Van Norman and Ross Thompson to play Dungeon Academy from The OP. In this dungeon delving adventure game, the players are students trying to fight their way out of the perilous Dungeon. Race against the clock as you battle monsters, collect loot, and prove your mettle to graduate from Dungeon Academy!

You know what's always fun with drinks? Cards Against Humanity.

When showing the loot cards, the focus is often off, making it difficult to see what they do. E.g. see 32:40.

Do you remember that game with little yellow pieces that you had to place in the correct holes? The general premise is that when you the board down, a timer starts and you have a minute or so to place all the yellow pieces in their correct slots before the blue game board jumps up.
This game reminds me of that game mixed with Yahtzee with trying to clear the board the quickest and then scoring your points with a culminating score based on place holders at the end.
I just bought his game for Christmas!

Why, because it doesn't have an entry for it?
Math on this seems...strange. You must spend 1-2 health/mana to defeat a monster, but health/mana is worth 1 point each. Why would you ever go for a big monster, since you are spending 2 potential points to gain 1? The 4 quests give some incentive, but you score your health/mana every round. Keeping your health/mana at max (highest, 9 combined) the entire game would by itself net you 36 points, which would have won this game (by a lot).
Healt and Mana dont worth any points.

Roll and Write is by far my least favorite board game genre.
It would be better if you didn't see the dungeon before you plan a route. The dungeons meant to be mysterious and dangerous, not really mysterious and dangerous if you see what's gonna happen... other than that it looks fun.
