Great video. Thank you for sharing your story. This is going to be a VERY BIG channel, very soon. Keep it up. Nothing like watching good, honest, hardworking guys. Thank you for your videos.
What a great human being!! I wish I could have had a teacher like you! Great respect to you Sir!!👍Long may you be able to keep doing what you love and share your wealth of experience and knowledge!
Thanks for featuring Rowdy on the channel. Gratifying to see a teacher's, woodworkers, administrators, family man's, community guy's history. Keep her going. I hope you guys continue to grow and prosper.
My carpentry teacher gave me skills I use almost every day! Much respect for shop teachers, it’s a shame most kids do not have access to vocational education!
Smart career arc Rowdy! Cuz once are teaching, school systems pay for advance degrees (like R's 2), and with each new degree, get a raise. And when get more salary, helps with pension (and teachers unfortunately don't get paid much, but DO get amazing pensions [*tho depends on the state - some better than others]) But biggest thing = Rowdy gave back to his community via his developing of students and coaching - Thank you Sir. Also, it seems the fit with Josh is excellent - which is another good 'prof' move! Wish you both a great 2025.
Rowdy had a very interesting career. My husband retired from teaching 6 years ago. He too got talked into getting his Masters in school administration and he regretted that after taking on the role. He was miserable and I had to tell him that he had the signs of clinical depression and that it was OK to ditch the job. He returned to the classroom after 4 years and taught at a continuation high school for 8 years to finish off his career and never regretted that.
I had four yrs of shop , owned a cabin by where Rowdy taught! We’re about the same age. Seems like a solid man Josh! Great addition to your work flow !
Rowdy!! I know him!! My daughter is married to Rowdy's son, Nolan... our mutual grandson is named Declan Rowdy James Morgan!! We're so happy to see Rowdy in his sweet spot!! Great job!
I never had any kind of shop classes. My father got me interested in woodworking and got me started down that path. I imagine a lot of people’s fathers may not be interested in woodworking to begin with, let alone teaching their children. Shop classes are vital! Learn a trade…something that nobody can take away from you. There is great satisfaction in using your two hands to make something. Think of how many lives Rowdy touched along his career. I bet there are many former students that speak of him the same way he spoke of his mentors that helped push him along the way. What a great guy with a great work ethic. Hard to find people like that! Great interview, enjoyed hearing his story.
@@NE_woodworks I think it would be interesting to have rowdy. Turn the camera on you and interview you so we could hear your backstory. I was especially surprised and I think rowdy was also when you said you never had shop shop classes!

Can you have a shirt made that said “I report to Rowdy” and I promise I will buy one.
Nice video, editing tip, when editing your audio make sure to double your track from stereo. your audio on this one is only playing on the left side.
@@A2ZGeek yeah will do. Thanks for the tip.
Could be interesting if you guys did a podcast…. I’d listen.
You might be onto something
The sound is only/mostly in my left earbud. Quite annoying.
Sorry about that.
