Great work on this video I always thought that Kanan was exactly what Tariq had been missing in Book 2. All the goofy decisions Tariq made early on wouldn't have happened with Kanan around.
Ngl you should do a whole rewrite series. Just writing what you would do differently each season and continue your rewrites through season by season (I personally think the first 2 seasons are gold and don’t really need any changes but you could start from s3 or any other season). A little hot take of mine but I would’ve liked to have seen Dre actually survive and do more in a spin-off as well. Maybe that could be a next what if.
Idk if Cane would have cut Kanan off once finding out that he was his father. Especially if Kanan didn't actually know about Cane and he had been mentoring him up to that point. Kanan grooming him to shine and be great would have out weighed him not knowing who his real father was and actually pushed him closer to Kanan.
@@comencme1 Ghost wanted a full on relationship with Angela. He was already knee deep in with her. He thought she was the key to his legit life. Tasha came onto Shawn to manipulate him into giving her info on Ghost. She wasn’t going to run away with him or leave Ghost for him. Tommy should’ve never had to remind Ghost that it was Tasha’s birthday. Nor should Yas have choked on that keychain he got for him and Angela. Ghost was definitely the cause. He was moving reckless from the moment he saw Angela.
@@ActualTreasure yes ghost was wrong but remember there was a scene where ghost asked Tasha what did she see him becoming and she said the biggest drug dealer in NY that's when she really lost him because he wanted out and Angie saw him only as Jamie not the big drug dealer ghost was smarter than everyone and did his best to protect everyone Tariq wanted the street life when he had every reason not to go that way he got his sister killed by doing dumb crap Tasha babied Tariq even tommy when ghost "allegedly" died he said to Tariq ghost was right this whole time he just didn't see it neither ghost or Tasha were perfect but between the 2 parents Tasha was worse her moves were as dumb as some of Raqs moves
@@comencme1honestly that’s the first comment most say about Tasha saying he would be the biggest dope dealer but that’s the person he showed to her all that time .. him being legit was more about him than anything he switched up and that’s what her and Tommy saw ..he was mentally done with Tasha , Tommy and his past so it wasn’t much she could say or do that would make him change either way. They both did wrong ..
@@All-In-4-Me they definitely both did wrong but him wanting to change isn't his error tommy didn't have kids kanan did but he was in jail for a big chunk and Shawn turned out well ghost wanted to go legit for himself but probably his kids as well Tasha was cool with that life for some reason
I would have loved if Tariq would have would have told the cops that Kanan was is Uncle. Tariq could have told Kanan about Angela and Ghost being together and Kanan would have smoked Angela to get back at Ghost.
The biggest mistake was killing Kanan off. He could have had his own spin off as the plug in Cali, could have been in power book 2 as Tariq mentor…. It was so much stuff that could of been done had he lived

But let’s go with the theory if he was still alive; Tariq would learn how to fight, 2bit would work along side of them, sorta like a Tommy role for him, and the tejadas would be target practice, but I don’t see Tariq ever linking with monet because he wouldn’t have a reason to look for plug, that was his only reason into furthering the conversation with zeke

Sometimes less is more and I think Power should’ve had less villains than they ended up having. I wish we got 3 seasons of Milan psycho self. He was better than Jason by a long shot. Mecca was also miles better than Noma and yet we had more seasons with her. Both of them were severed under-utilised and deserved more time to be fully expanded on.
@ damn I didn’t know that about Mecca but it does make sense. The show could’ve at least tried to make Noma a better villain if they truly couldn’t keep Mecca.
That would have been an Awesome storyline, but if Tariq would have told the cops that kanan was his uncle they still would have searched the car and found the gun. Tariq would have probably had to cop out to ray ray and went to jail or juvie.
I agree cos Book 2 storyline was weak & contrived imo. For all the build up of “shooting” Ghost & Riq turning into Ghost, Book 2 was a let down. I watched it to support the franchise & give my viewership but it wasn’t all that. 🤷🏽♀️
