The Life of Chuck was unique. The lay out of the acts was so different from anything I've read. Frankly, Act III gave me the creeps. I really enjoyed that story.
The layout was so unique! I think I read that King did that order because that was the order he wrote the story in, like it all came to him at different times over the course of a few years.
Cannot wait to hear about your travels when you return. I did not read The Outsider (my husband did & liked it) but I did watch the TV series & LOVED IT! I was curious to know if you watched it as well? The actress who played Holly was amazing!
Safe travels, can't wait to see what you find while away. Not sure if they offer it any more but my husband and I did a tour of Alcatraz after dark which really added to the creepy factor
I was pleasantly surprised by All These Subtle Deceits. It was definitely entertaining although not perfect. It read to me like the author was setting it up to start a series.
I have never been there, but Morbid: A True Crime Podcast did a massive episode on it and that's how I learned about it! Idk if I would be brave enough to stay there overnight, but I would like to visit it.
Yay! I am glad that you were able to read 7 books. Escape From Alcatraz sounds fascinating. Random question: does your boyfriend also like horror and ghosts? I am just curious because he is willing to go on all these creepy vacations with you 😉😂
My boyfriend actually doesn't even really believe in ghosts, but he loves history and true crime. So whenever we go to really old places he gets really excited to learn about the history of it. Like, he loved The Stanley Hotel because of the crazy story about how it became a hotel and he adored the Lizzie Borden House because it's such a famous case. (I actually think he liked the Borden house more than I did!) Whenever we go on trips together we always do a bunch of spooky things, but also a TON of historical tours for him. Luckily, a lot of spooky things overlap with history. :D
@@violetprynne oh gotcha. That's good 😃 my husband hates horror and isn't really into history either, but he has still indulged me with a few ghost tours and the Winchester House tour even though all that kind of stuff freaks him out 😂
It took me years of practice to be honest. I used to only be able to get through like one book a month, but I started using reading as like a therapeutic outlet and set aside time each night to read specifically. And eventually I found I was able to get through books a lot faster.

YES! I did watch it! Afterwards I can only see Holly in my head as that actress. She was SO perfectly cast.

That's so cool! I believe they were still offering that tour! I remember seeing that as an option when we were buying tickets!

You're so right! Now that I think about it, it definitely felt like the author was setting up for a series!
I think the Bill Hodges books are second only to The Dark Tower in the King multiverse.
I can't wait to start the trilogy!
Have you been to/read about the Villisca axe murders of Iowa? I'd love to stay there a night!

How the heck do you guys read seven books in a month LOL I can't even get through more than one, I must be the slowest reader in the world

@@violetprynne that makes perfect sense yeah I think I just need to delegate more time until I increase my speed
