I love your taste. Malfi and Malerman have become favorites, now I'm going to check out Tim Meyer! Thank you for showcasing them.

The first one that came to mind was Bret Easton Ellis' Lunar Park. An alright read, but he nails the King vibe relatively well (Ellis even said it's his attempt at writing King).
Speaking of, I looked up December Park when you mentioned it. From the premise, it reminds me of Ellis' The Shards, in that it's an auto-fiction novel with a serial killer sub-plot. So that has my interest.

Violet, hi. I have gotten into Jack Ketchum, who has passed but wrote several really good books. I think his two best are Off Season and its sequel Offspring. It concerns cannibalism with characters that you’ll care about, characters that you’ll despise, and characters that will step up to become heroic and tragic. Ketchum wrote a third book in that series: The Woman. I’ve seen the movie and, while not being terrible, does not do justice to Ketchum’s voice. But I cannot find the book anywhere. Just wondering if you’ve read him, if you’ve heard of him? What are your thoughts? I’m interested in finding out more about Christopher Golden. Good job!!

Love this video! Liked that you do a comparison with Stephen King style writing. Really enjoy your reviews and recommendations and have read a lot of horror based on your recommendations. I just read King for the first time this past Summer, always thought he was too pop culture for me till I read 6 or 7 of his books. Thanks for your time and efforts. Tyler

Based on your recommendations I read my first Ania Ahlborn novel: Within These Walls. I liked it and especially liked that it didn't have some phony ending. I am thinking of reading Brother next. What do you advise?

Thanks for the ten suggestions. I'm definitely giving the Alan Baxter one a go. The House of Last Resort is a dopey good time. If you haven't read it pick up Scott Carson's Lost Man's Lane. It's very much Stephen King by way of Robert McCammon.

Enjoy your recommendations. I won't read King anymore, he's an author not a genre. King has become a.warped bitter man...the.Robert De Niro of horror fiction.

So because King hates fascist politics he’s bitter?!? Makes so much sense.
