I don't understand why he attacked. At that point there was enough damage on the table to kill him and he just tap single creature. His position wasn't dominant, but he could have stayed in the game and who knows how that would have changed it. Looks like throw.
Nice to see Don. Also nice to see Zur Control being played. It's a deck I've been rocking for a few years now. With the amount of counters, I'm surprised Don didn't have any counter backup for Helm.
I would love to see Don more. I feel like Zur and his version can really shake up a board and would love to see more of him. As a Zur head myself with a few others in the comment section from what I see. I would love to see more of him.
Thought cEDH was my escape from simic value engines lol. Jokes aside what a sick game, a lot of really unique interactions just because of the heavy board control from Don. Loved seeing match of swirling mist doing some work, big fan of that card and I think it and the white and black marches will see more play in all power levels of EDH as decks keep getting more mana efficient.
I still think Temur Pirates is the best version, you get so many creature tutors in green, Grixis perhaps has more alternative lines, because you got black to fetch whatever you want, like the underworld breach combo. But that combo NEEDS LED = not cheap 😂
ua-cam.com/video/W6w4YYJvlh8/v-deo.html This video explains how the combo works, in cedh you cant have 4 narcoamoebas so they use zombies from the commander
Basically you try to mill yourself until key cards hit the yard (from Chad's deck, it looks like hes using mesmeric orb and probably basalt monolith). This is random, so if you hit a shuffle titan, you have to restart it until you get all the cards you need. Then you use a graveyard combo to kill your opponents; whether its a zombie horde from bridge backed up by a craterhoof, or some other wincon. Your turn could take quite some time to finish once you start the combo. I think chad just wants to be a chad and make the rest of the table suffer through his win :D
Folger had extremely questionable decision making/threat assessment and would often make illogical plays. He was frustrating to watch, especially in his last set of appearances
@@RetroPokemonTCG I think there was one game, their season 1 finale, with Grand Arbiter, that was just an insane game on Folger's part, where he Ult'd creature-Jace and it was so awesome
@@RetroPokemonTCG he had 1 game where he said he had an answer to a board state then didn't and everyone got butthurt. He was still one a really good player with unique lines and cEDH politicking. His CoV bullying was awesome to watch.
What was in Shaun’s hand during the turn Ashani killed him? During his previous 2 turns, he’d looked at 16 cards and had no interaction for Malcolm/Glinthorn?
I don't think I've ever cast Vial Smasher in my grixis malcolm deck and I've been playing it for at least a year and Ashani cast it twice. Love to see other people's playstyles
rule question: lets say you have helm of obedience and rest on piece on the field and activated helm of obedience for 1 targeting an opponent with nexus of fate in their deck, what would happen? Nexus would forever be shuffled back into the library. I dont think it stops obedience trigger? ends in a loop that forces the game into a draw?
Bro, when you play with zur you don’t have to waste your counters with other players pool. Save them for YOUR win. You should have won this game with the helm.
Once again another I have no deck therefore I win win stop it’s annoying it’s cheap if someone did that to me I’d flip the freaking table because to me that’s not a win wasn’t a win when I started playing magic and I will not acknowledge it now
If a combo win gets you that mad you probably shouldn't watch competitive EDH, the whole point is to win as consistently as possible, and no good cEDH player cares if you think their win is cheap.
@@omegagaming609 Yes because it is insanely cheap when I started playing that wasn’t even a thing and it just irritates me how fast a win like that happens I don’t recognize it as a win Sorry even in casual commander I will never do that
Don countered that Rhystic study so hard it almost flew to the other table
That game was crazy. Congrats to the victor, they worked hard for it.
thank you for commenting without spoiling anything
thx now I don't have to watch the vid knowing that Victor won the game.
Sad the Zur deck couldn't get going as he really controlled the board for awhile.

Never thought I'd be tired of seeing a card in cEDH, but I sure hope to never see Brain Freeze again lmao

Lotus petal works fine for me
what exactly is the "4 horseman combo" that was referred to with Chad's deck?

Kinda wanna see Folger make a comeback

Electricity crackling! 😍
What a wild game, that was awesome
why would helm be game over for the table, the combo takes only one player out per turn or am I missing something?

Is it just me, or is the audio slightly quieter than usual in this episode
We can look into it and see if that's the case. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I think nexus never hits the graveyard in that case
What a dog fight!
A zur deck !!!! I'm crying
Do I pay shipping to card conduit? i have probably 50-60 pounds of bulk
Yes
Does glinthorn trigger off gamble?
Yes
Zur Gang, let’s stax
Sidisi can be fast af
Yeah, unfortunately Rest In Peace was shutting it down hard.

You know, I'm not actually sure. We can check and see.

Hi CardConduit users, I have a question. is there a buylist value minimum for the Sorted Service?
Good old grixis doing grixis things...

Did they stop doing the most valuable card at the end?
Yes. We did away with it awhile back. We looked at our analytics and no one was watching it.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG oh damn I really enjoyed it. That's unfortunate though
Might just be me ,save your spell for when u going to win the game? When stopping someone else from winning ,i dont play blue that much
I saw Zur and thought "Posty?!?!" And he said a special guest and I'm like "Posty!!!" And then he said Don.......
I'll still watch it tho
Let's a go
🤠
I could be wrong but I'm sure Ashani missed all his malcolm triggers when glinthorn did damage with his ability
Would love to see my cedh commanders of Azami, Jhoira, or Sythis get some love on here
Ryan has both Jhoira and Sythis sleeved up for some future games! Stay tuned!

The player could have easily gone for the brain freeze victory too but went for the faster line. I don't blame them
