Nice seacliff got big ones regularly sowurl cove sll that bait , they know they can fatten up real fast there king fish perch anchovies sardine sand crabs small steelhead and salmon smoky Z , that area like Buffet for Striped bass what I’ve seen in my last 49 years chasing them striped bass in that area

Yesterday fished the morning fish were biting. I went back in the evening I couldn't find any. But I heard some ppl got some down the way before it got dark.

In SF Bay you work/catch stripers on what appears to be very light setups. What are the "basic" differences in your bay to surf striper set ups; not the reel but rod and line specs?

Yes the bay stripers you dont have the strong waves and currents so a little easier to bring in. And off the surf I like to use a heavier set up because of that and also off the surf there is a lot bigger chance of hitting a big striper from shore. Rod for the surf I'm using a phenix Cicada. 1-6oz. 20lb braid to a 20lb leader sometimes 25lb leader. You can use a lot heavier line if you like I see more ppl using 30lb braid to 25-30 leaders.
