    Wow!! I can't believe I found this car!! I'm the guy who made this car look brand new!! I spent, many, many MANY weeks cleaning this car to ultimate perfection since it was first sold out of the trailer. My former boss bought it off eBay, then I volenterred to clean it up. It was an amazing experience dealing with a car that old, and making it look new again. I got to see the car start for the first time in over 20 plus years as well as taking it to many car shows!! I sure do miss that car!! Even though I never owned it, it was "My baby" for a year or so before I sold it at auction. Thank you for posting this video so I could see the car again, and I'm glad your not going to drive it!! Last time I seen it, had around 5 miles on it. Less then 10 is still awesome!

    This is without question THE BEST Camaro IROC in the entire world. I seriously doubt that you will find a better Camaro IROC anywhere in America or the rest of the world. This car is literally fresh off the assembly line. It has never been driven or raced. It has never seen an accident, rain or any type of bad weather. It's never been dented or even scratched. This Camaro is truly a GEM FIND. You can only imagine what the value of this car is, what it can be sold for and what people would be willing to pay for it. I wouldn't be surprised if this car could be sold for 1 MILLION dollars. A true car collector knows what a rare gem this car is. The only other place you might find one in this new condition is if Chevy themselves have one tucked away somewhere in one of their museums or something which I doubt. This car is the best IROC!

    I bought a new black 89 IROC-Z w/factory stripe delete , garaged it in 91 on jacketstands, taught myself how to polish aluminum with supplies from Eastwood Restoration, and spent 3 years detailing it. Edlebrock Jet Hot ceramic Tri-Y headers, stainless cat-backs. Over the next 3 years, did a bunch of car shows, took home 1st place trophies for Street Class. Sold it at 8 years old with a little over 13,000 miles on the odometer for almost as much as I paid for (not counting finance charges). Wish I had kept it. Good memories.

Once it's driven, it will NEVER be "pre-sale" new again. This is almost a Smithsonian museum situation because THIS just doesn't happen, and it will never happen again, especially to a highly desirable car like this one. Lot of idiots in the comment section here, but I expect no less from UA-cam. There are still thousands of Iroc-Z's you can drive that are in great condition- but those aren't brand new. The second you actually drive this thing and register it, it is no longer brand new. This is probably the only new Iroc-Z left in the world, and should be kept that way so future generations can see what this car was like, since most of them are turning to shit from people who don't know how to take care of their cars.

      Speaking of Z24`s, they were fast for what they were once GM switched from the 2.8L to the 3.1L. Not the fastest cars on the road, but a small lightweight front wheel drive subcompact with what was at the time a big V6 made them certainly more than "Glorified Cavaliers". I had a `90 that I bought used that the original owner had it for 2 months and didnt want it anymore. The one unique thing about it was that the faster I drove it... the better the MPG`s were.

      True, as it is used it becomes contaminated and breaks down it will become acidic, the oil in this car has not been used. Fresh oil that hasn't been run much should be fine, although it may no longer be useful for lubricating a running engine. I just finished rebuilding a 47 8n that had been sitting for 13 years without running under a tarp outside. 13 winters of snow and ice with no air filter just a tube leading straight to the carb. No rust on the crank or cam or anywhere really. I have done a little research

    • @jbabister
      @jbabister 8 років тому +1

      +Fret Technician you obviously know nothing about oils.... cause motor oil doesn't lose its viscosity over time...it could sit there for 100 years and would still do the same job... only thing that wracks oil is dirt and its gets contaminated with fuel

      No, it was the LG4.
      The L69 was technically still available in 1985-86 F-bodies, but few were sold those years, mainly due to limited availability.
      GM was pushing the LB9 5.0l TPI engines over the L69.
      If it had the L69, it would have "5.0L H.O." decals under the IROC-Z emblems, and would have a dual snorkel air cleaner that would also have "5.0L H.O." decal on it.

The only reason in the entire world that this thing is worth anything to anyone and not just another parking lot donut-burner is that it is in immaculate condition with almost no mileage. Put a few thousand miles on it and scuff up the paint and it's just another old f-body that no one gives a shit about. This guy has hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cars, if he wants an old Camaro with 165 hp to beat on, he could buy one with his spare change.

      o Lemurs that's good way to damage a engine. Letting a engine sit for a substantial amount of time all the oil in it drains completely out of the engine into the oil pan. With that being said if you just throw a battery in it an turn the key your now cranking a motor that consists of a lot of moving parts an all them moving parts have no lubrication witch most likely will cause serious damage to the motor. When you start a car everyday the oil leaves a coating through out the motor. I am not trying to be ignorant towards you in anyway writing this either.

It has the pathetic LG4 305 And is missing at the very least a Power rear hatch release. Simple lost title procedure that takes a couple months in most states. You have to put ads in newspapers that you're trying to apply for a new title so if a current owner sees that, they can call the DMV and stop the transfer. Very old fashioned process and takes forever, but can be done if you want to title a car with no title or previous owner. Or maybe there's an easier way involving chevrolet since it sounds like a title was never issued to begin with.
