- Sonic is iconic to all of us whether we're a Sonic fan or not, but there is something about the series has a special place in our hearts. In this video, I talk about a couple of my memories with the Sonic series along with what I love about it.

I still vividly remember when I first saw a sonic game- the first game unironically. I was INSTANTLY hooked. You know you have an iconic character when it stucks with you for that long!
Oh absolutely! I still remember seeing sonic for the first time when I watched AOSTH back in the day, and I could never forget about his design and character since then.
I first did when I was in a library seeing it on TV, I will never forget that 😊

Everything you said is so true! Mario’s stories are always the same: Rescue the princess and the end. But with Sonic, there’s always a new story, new adventure, a life lesson, and character development!

I LOVE YOUR DOOF impression and I love Eggman!! My Mum laughs at him and thinks he’s funny too 💗 what I find nice about Sonic is yes, his laidback-ness and how he likes to take naps, his confidence, his drive, his coolness, his fame in real life (idk why I’m just starting to become really interested), and also the fact that I never really got into Sonic much until now. I’m glad I’m finally old enough to appreciate this cool stuff and maybe someday I can play more of the games ☺️ I have a friend group that REALLY loves the Sonic games, so it helps me understand them more and get into something different. I also really love the characters and character designs/artwork, like you. 🏃🏻♂️ 🦔
Sonic is the icon that had something more to it than what you were seeing.
Even if you didn't understand it , recognizing this secret made people feel special.
When people know what they're doing , it has a feeling of rhythm and flow.
With Mario it just felt like one ambush after the next.
Precisely, the Sonic series is rich with narrative and characters we can relate to. Mario doesn’t really have it much.
What I think makes him as iconic as he is is just Sonic as a character in general

I played the Sonic classics on my family's Wii, Sonic games truly picked up for me when I played Sonic 3 on an emulator one day and decided to look into the character more.
Well done video... Sonic is pretty iconic.

Interesting points
What made Sonic Iconic for me was when I was introduced to him on Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut for the Nintendo GameCube. It was fantastic to experience the adventures, stories, and perspectives of 6 different characters.
Oh heck yeah! SADX on GameCube is one of my childhood games. Though, I didn’t beat it til I was 19 cuz I didn’t know that there was a super Sonic story til then.
Long story short, I rented the game from blockbuster back when I was little, went through the 6 characters stories, then returned the game after that.
@@TheEternalSamurai I managed to beat it a year or 2 ago on the Xbox Version. Beat Perfect Chaos in 2 tries and when back and beat him in 1 go! And when I replayed the game on the Xbox, I got hit by the Egg Viper Lasers, rings dropped, glitched, and disappeared. But still managed to beat him the rest of the way. I still have my gameplay of it on my channel
This is another Well made video Mate. But why is Sonic is so Iconic to me? Well You talked about it in the video its the characters of Sonic its story it has and the gameplay is always going to be apart of sonic the world of sonic to me is one of the most iconic things in sonic From Shadows Arc in SA2 of Chips story in Unleashed or heck All of Black knight They make you care about the characters and the world sonic is apart of and along with the music of the games from Rock to Rap to Epic Battle themes every song in sonic is just as iconic as the characters :D
Don’t know why I didn’t think about the music when I was recording this, but indeed, the music is another big reason why sonic is so iconic.

Oh yeah, we had the BetterSADX mod when we streamed Sonic Adventure on Steam. It was really cool. Restoring the DreamCast version while adding some cut content.
