So your channel is not only about mental health advice but also Christian? This is awesome! God definitely led me to this video! I'm a grown woman and people told me I've had adult level intelligence for the most part, even as a kid, however I have terrible social skills, possibly due to trauma. I'm slowly getting better and I've made progress over the years, but I have trust issues yet I also get way too friendly and chatty the moment I find someone I like lol I appreciate you sharing your advice with us all. Thank you so much and God bless you.

I've always admired the value of manners. They give a person a better chance of success in their endeavours.

Thank you very much Elizabeth. I'm going to employ that idea of getting the kids (my grand daughter twins) to ask questions! I love that. I was just teaching Air Force pilots to do the same thing but it didn't dawn on me to also teach the wee ones.

Love this podcast! Do you have suggestions for resources parents can look to regarding screen time for our children? Thank you!

Came here for help with my toddler because I don’t know how to teach my child social skills apparently and all I can notice is the color coded books in the back 😂

My husband believes that your statement that we are sinning when we do not responed to other, is a bit extreme. He doesn't believe that not saying hello to someone is unloving. He believes it maybe the right thing to do. Like not saying hello back to the stranger on the street...

We agree that different situations call for different responses. And there may be a limited number of circumstances in which not responding to others may be the most loving thing to do. However, Jesus said that the second greatest commandment is to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. In general, if we choose not to respond to someone or acknowledge a person has greeted us, we are not treating that person as an image bearer and are, therefore, sinning against them.

The first step in socializing children is to limit their exposure to electronic devices such as cells,iPad, video games ect. Even though these are apart of our everyday life it severely limits social skills.
