watching this made me realise that they were exhausted ..the fame ,. Geri leaving... America as a new territory, homesick etc... I hope one day there'll be a movie about them.

you're so right about this. I think Mel B's attitude and personality and the way it reflected on the rest of the band, especially Geri, did show at that exact moment, as well as afterwards when she tried to explain why she didn't want the documentary to be made. makes me feel certain that Geri's departure was in big part due to problems in communicating and character differences between her and Mel B. this also makes me wonder what would have happened, if Mel B had left the band instead of Geri.

even tho i have no part in the group as a fan except being just that a "fan" i felt as tho i lost a friend as well when geri left and only hearing a one sided argument. in that scene 21:51 at that moment there was the other side of that argument that i had been missing.
... a complete list of their WorldTour "only" reads 97 concerts instead of 103, do not know where the error? Anyway an amazing feat, no doubts about. Great Girls, true phenomenon.
Geri left without given reason and then when she did her reason was a lie as she later admitted in the reunion documentary as she barely could remember the excuse. I personally think she was exhausted as they all were but it got to her first. I also think people want to blame Mel B because she was the other big personality and that unfair as when Geri left most of the slack fell on Mel trying figure out how to restructure the group that she never had time to process Geri leaving.
Geri said there was really a friction between her and mel.. exhaustion ego and Melb were the reasons she left i reckon, after watching all her explaining through the years

@@annestoriesph Geri couldn't really keep up with the rest of them on tour, vocally and choreography wise. The others were also becoming more confident and that got to Geri (she admits this), so I think she was being truthful when she said she didn't really fit in anymore. Plus, rumors were that Mel B would get pissed at Geri when Geri inevitably screwed up the routines on tour.
The could have stayed for at least one more album. After that, I think they would have split anyway. They were put together the best out of all the other manufactured bands, they were genuine sidekicks, it rarely ever happens, really, but I think after such an intense period together they were just awfully tired.

whatever Gerri's reason for leaving was..it was one of poor judgment. She might as well of thrown a million dollars in small bills towards her manager and said "I don't want this" , because basically that's what she did. I really hope she realizes what a HUGE mistake she made back then.Some famous ppl always think they can go back to where they started, but, sadly Gerri wasn't able to. Her leaving was a really BIG MISTAKE. She could of helped make her career even bigger, as well as the others

You're right about Mel B. Never really noticed the awkward looks amongst them until I saw this documentary. I'm sure that was a really stressful time for all of them. They look worn down.

mel c emma and geri were the only genuine nice ones in the band I think
Mel C and Emma yes. Geri was very bossy and domineering. Emma said that Geri shouted at her quite a lot in the 2007 documentary.

He said "You did want to make this film" and she replies "No, I didn't". Their conversation just goes on to be why she didn't want to the documentary and she doesn't know why then she didnt want to make it.
actually scary did leave at one point, according to mel c. and geri had left before. man i wish that geri never left. i just want them to be whole, but i cant deny that mel b doesnt seem well liked among them :/
