I love any combination of these girls I’m always OK when it was just the four of them at the time it was hard but even back then I was still perfectly content when I saw them in concert
it's quite painful actually to watch this interview where they were still much positive about the band. I believed it when they said there were more to come from the band and they would not split up no matter what. But then, what happened a year or two after this interview was something that saddened the fans around the world.
@@Yurges Geri Haliwell (Ginger Spice) left the band in the Spring/Summer of 98. They tried to carry on without her, but it was hugely unsuccessful compared to their first and second albums.
I love the Spice Girls but a lot of what they said here was not true. They did essentially split up after the last show on that tour. They only put out one more album that was so different than their previous albums. No tour or promotion. Then baby after baby. They really could have done so much more. Geri leaving the group and then Mel B and Victoria getting pregnant is what destroyed the Spice Girls. HUGE SHAME for all the fans
The first domino to fall was their manager Simon Fuller. He worked the girls way too hard and they’ve all said that they were fried, completely burnt out. And the stress finally got to Geri. Her working relationship with Mel B was also at a breaking point and after the breast cancer debacle, everything just came to a head. Plus, she left in the midst of a world tour and right before the American leg. The final blow was Mel B and Victoria both getting pregnant so naturally there would be too much down time and with everyone preoccupied with newborn children and solo records, the bottom finally fell out for the girls. You can hear how forced Forever sounded and how they basically were just going through the motions. Mel C has said in her book that she did not want to do Forever but felt obligated to do it out of fear. It’s not surprising to see how short their career span as a working group would be after the smoke cleared. Their candle burned down to the wick very quickly but thank God we have the music we were able to get from them.
I love them as a 5-piece. But Geri was my least favorite that’s why I still supported them even without her. As much as I love their first 2 albums, Forever album was my favorite because I love rnb.. and I’m happy with the direction they went & as a 4-piece, they were able to sing & dance more.
Agent I totally agree with what your saying, the band was still fantastic as a 4some but it was more fun when Geri was in the band and Geri is my favourite member in the spice girls and a inspiration. If Geri didn't leave the band then the forever album would have been more poppy just like the two previous albums but it was great that the third album was RnB because it's got grown up touch to it but Spice is my favourite album by the spice girls. The spice girls are my best ever all time band
@@TheJessienotes Geri had something the others did not have, she was not the best singer or dancer, but she had a presence and a personality that stood out both in interviews and on stage and she had a unique voice, totally recognizable
Of course they all were mad at her, but I do think they missed her, they were together for 4 years (2 as the Spice Girls and 2 training) and they were always together night and day
Ce n 'était plus du tout pareil quand Ginger avait quitté le groupe. Avec Geri c'était plus fun plus gai plus joyeux plus coloré et la plus épicé avec Melanie B. J aimais aussi Emma.
... Mel C is utterly a real GODDESS... what a gem of girl. Could stare at her for days.
Mel C "You can't go out getting drunk"
Emma "Me and Mel B did quite a bit of partying on tour"
LOL
I remember this from the beginning of the Wembley tour VHS from back in the day!
Me too haven’t watched it in years compared to the other ones
😩 "You can't get good deodorant in America" 😂😂 LIES Victoria!!!!
I have this on VHS tape lol. I remember watching this in America when I was kid, and was so fascinated by how they all speak differently.
Taishi Singleton same
I love the raspiness in Mel B, and Geri’s voice
Flor Azul yeah

Where & when
I always watched this interview with the movie as a kid. Glued to it
Really wish would could have a new album. They have been through so much since their last album, their music is so interesting, such fun pop music.
Yeah

They prove everything, they reach the top and only way is downfall. This applies to everyone, if you athelte, group band, singer.

11:05 Mel C lied. I don't think she missed Geri at all that time, she hated her. Just look at her face expression - pure disgust and contempt.

I like Mel B but she acted like a b****. Mel C and Victoria kinda acted snooty too.
