Does the strut spacer you have measure 2”? Because I ordered the 3” but measured the strut spacer and it’s 2” and was told by supreme suspension that the geometry of the strut will give it the 3” lift even though the strut spacer is measuring 2”
yes its fine, on these explorers the rear spacer will be an inch shorter than your desired travel BUT it will give you what you want. my front spacers are 2 inches measurable and the rears are 1 inch. giving me 2 inches all the way around. i know it sounds weird but even the rear spacers are made different than the fronts.
Hey, over this past weekend I did the same exact thing you did. I have an 07 ford explorer Eddie bauer and I was wondering if you had any problems with getting an alignment done? For some reason it's not possible now. Also can you give me a link on where you got your upper control arms?
@@tylermurphy9020 uh to align the camber of the UCAs you would undo the bolts at the top and move them forward or backward with the tolerance you have. its super simple and takes no time.
yes you can align your front with the factory uca. sounds like the tech didnt want to do it. i go to firestone or mccauils tire. for the arms i went to BTF and messaged the guy about them.
Anthony im learning as i go with this. Im also fixing to upload a new video of the lift and what ive done. Ive been seeing the skyjacker kit but dont know what gain it gives. If you do strut spacers or lift springs youre gonna need the BTF arms. It just assures you dont strip a upper ball joint on the trail. Ive got square tubing cut down into 2 inch sections for my body lift. I dont really trust the weight to a couple washers nuts and bolts. Im just going to use the tubing for extra brace, like the sleeve on your sway bar link. But right now im looking and learning what struts to get and what brand gives you what gain. I would NOT blow this little 4.0. most I would do is put a small turbo on it but the motor isnt that great. I honestly wouldn't even lift it unless you're doing a body lift. After these spacers you're gonna have to hit up BTF for custom UCAs and that's 700 then you're going to be eating up sway bar links left and right so you remove the sway bars.
