My favorite unconventional summer fragrance has to be Naomi Goodsir Bois d'Ascese. The first time I sampled it I was visiting Florida and somehow the association stuck. The dry campfire smoke works really well to cut through hot humid weather.
Love that you mentioned Piper Nigrum Pep. I find it such a beautiful and unusual scent. I find the pepper in CDG black pepper to be too edible smelling for me but in PN it just really works and that fennel note is so strange but it just works ☺️
What a great selection of fragrances. Thanks team! Can I add YSL Opium? It wears similarly to Tauer's L'air du Desert as it is bone-dry and spicy. Great stuff. Also, I have to agree with Ryan with SMN Peau d'espagne. I purchased it on a very warm day and mostly wear it during the summer months. The citrus and florals really make it work quite well during the warmer days.
Sorry I missed the live but just finished listening to the recording. Love seeing you guys chatting about your choices. I had a question for Ryan about that second perfume shop in Portsmouth, NH. I travel to Portsmouth, NH at least twice a year and spend hours in Pickwick’s Mercantile talking to Fulcanelli about life and of course perfumes. I always leave with one or two discoveries and it automatically creates my scent memory for that particular time in NH. Ryan mentioned a second perfume shop in the area that he walked to and I was shocked at how I didn’t know about this. Inquiring minds would like to know what other shop I missed out on. 😮😊
@@thetrueconnoisseur Oh yes, Deadwick's - I have been there before. I didn't know they also had some fragrances. I will take a peek next time I am in the area. Thank You!
Prada d'Iris line is great (and safe for work) summer line indeed. Thanks for the stream. I fly to Dublin for Bloomsday this week and it will be about 16 deg Celsius there still and rainy non-stop :(, full on spring

Ohhh so Pickwick's has a sister shop, Deadwick's, that carries some other perfumes (in addition to occult-themed wares)

Hopefully it warms up soon.
Black pepper and herbs: Bottega Veneta’s Parco Palladiano V. So nice and fresh for summer, but unique
Ooh Amy, I tried that years ago. Need to revisit.
