The best thing about the ePDL is the fact it leaves you feeling in tune with the kayak. Not just a motor that takes over (unless you want it to). But having the assist while pedaling leaves me feeling more in control. But I stand firm with the fact it needs an upgraded rudder.
I don’t understand how the through hull mount works for the transducer. Doesn’t it protrude lower than the kayak? Wouldn’t it drag and get damaged when you beach or have it out of water on the ground?
As mentioned in the video, any of the mods that involve drilling into the hull of the kayak does in fact void the warranty. However, the pre-drilled accessory tracks allow for rigging that does not involve voiding the warranty. Hope this helps!
There are many advantages to having a premium fishing kayak rather than a boat. Kayaks can get you to places boats can't, they are easier to store, and easier to transport!
@OldTownCanoeKayak My guy it's obvious you work in sales. At this price I have both pdl and a John boat. Both I can easily toss into my truck bed with a tailgate extender.
For 5 thousand dollars shouldn't things like nav lights and a rocker panel be included? I mean not only are you paying 5 grand but if you then want to install those things yourself you have to void the warranty of your kayak and even risk ruining your hull.

That is a great point - thanks for the feedback!
Old town plus yakattack!! Epic combo
Can never go wrong!
@OldTownCanoeKayak I won't go as crazy, cus I don't need fish finders, they find me. Haha
Awesome build!!!
Wow, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself!
So many toys all on one yak!
Whats your navigation light?

There is a recessed cavity below the hull that houses and protects the transducer.
Does this void the warranty?

At this point get a boat.

Wish we all could benefit from the e drive. But no. It’s all about money. So we all need to buy another kayak. Terrible
Thank you for the feedback.
Just buy an nk-180s problem solve.
