I’m really enjoying Syndicate so far. Jacob and Evie are charismatic and funny characters. London is a cool setting filled with realistic architecture and a bustling urban feel. The stealth is very refined and retains a lot of what made Unity’s stealth so special. The free-running is good but definitely not the best in the series.

@@gojea8200 Yes get those games those are the best assassins creed games, but if you have a pc get Assassins creed 1, you dont need a gaming pc to play it as its old but its very and is important and connected to every single assassins creed game
this for me by far has the best parkour out of the ac games similar to unity be they dont float everywhere it feels weighted and if you understand the mechanics properly you can do flawless parkour
@@juandieminger7606 Siendo sincero, el problema no es el sistema en si, sino el mapa, los edificios no ayudan mucho debido a su estructura tan erguida, recta y separada de conjunto en conjunto (las calles son muy anchas), pero hay que admitir que pudo haber sido mucho peor, el gancho por suerte facilita un poco la experiencia.
@@baico657 el gancho ayuda a que sea más fluido, pero choca con la escencia de la saga, pero fuera de eso, tiene pocas animaciones y mecánicas comparado con Unity, por ejemplo el wall eject.

@@baico657 es como si los movimientos se sintiesen un poco toscos y no tan fluidos como en otros ac, en lo personal me gusta más el de ac 3 por ejemplo, pero como dicen, para gustos colores, tal vez a ti te guste, quién sabe. Edit: también te da como un sacón de onda estar haciendo parkour y toparte de repente con una calle muy ancha y tener que usar el gancho

@@gojea8200 the newer AC being better than the last is a given because technology gets better after all. That's why games are getting bigger in storage. But newer AC being worse than older ones is completely unacceptable.
@@arukakirigiri5055 Exactly, the comment you’re replying to was made a month ago before I played almost all the ac games, but now that I have I can say with confidence that Syndicate and onwards actually feel really good since they are newer (I would include Unity as well, but it’s too buggy that even the mobility sometimes is off), the problem though is the new games decided to take more of an rpg approach and ditch the action adventure style (excluding Syndicate) which was the wrong choice for Assassin’s Creed games. The rpg games are fun and they feel and look so much better than the older games, but the things that made Assassin’s Creed what it is today are gone, the parkour, the stealth (again excluding Syndicate because it still falls under the action adventure category, just with a lot of rpg elements), the Assassin’s, the robes, all of it is gone. Thankfully, we are finally getting a new ASSASSIN’S CREED game that actually relates to the title, and from all the teasers and spoilers and everything, it seems like it’s going to be better than even the old games. Of course the old games will always be greatness even to this day, and yeah they might still be using the same rpg combat from Valhalla instead of the awesome counter system from Brotherhood to Rouge, but even so I think it’s going to be a blast.
I agree with u Nikhil! the parkour in syndicate is so bad and its not smooth even. This guys haven't played unity thats why they are crying over it and they can't do good parkour in unity. Unity parkour more is complex and fun. We don't want auto jump like in Syndicate. This guys says its much simpler and fun. Yes its fun when the dev plays for u and spoon feeds u with with auto jump, run, complete ur mission and everything.
@@ChuangDedyes it is, did you not watch the video. The person playing got stuck so many times becazse the game wouldn't allow him to jump. All of that was possible in Unity it feels less automated and way more controllable
@@warpitexis2341 yes it also happened with me too while playing i couldn't do several things because of no manual junp and yeah i also got stuck in a tree so i had to quit the main menu and spawn again.but else i noticed no faults in syndicate's parkour. Sorry I’m a bit late, but even then I hope I can help with ur decision, if you liked unity (my personal favourite ac game tbh) you will encounter a lot of the same mechanics in syndicate + now u can kidnap people which is kinda fun to do and it helps in stealth in the right situations, the stealth is not bad, again, very similar to unity’s only the phantom blade is replaced by throwing knives, which I like tbf, sometimes I’m running unity and thinking, man it would be cool if I just had throwing knives in this situation even thought I have the phantom blade, but well that is a personal opinion of mine, also in this game you can ride carriages, as for the story I must apologise I didn’t finish the game yet because I’ve been playing other ac games, but I’m planning to do so starting tomorrow, but for what I’ve heard the story is kinda meh. Overall I feel like syndicate at least for me is like unity but actually more fun in a way and I don’t know how to explain how, I mean I have fun in unity, but idk man, also important to know u play with 2 characters in syndicate, Jacob is more the fighting brute type and eve the stealthy one, the parkour feels smooth, sure u have some buildings that are a bit more far away (unity had those too tbh) but a new tool in the hidden blade kit helps u with this, it kinda feels like Batman rope lol, anyway if you want a similar experience to unity I think it would be a good idea to play syndicate. One thing i honestly like about syndicate is when you kill a Templar in the cutscene u see Jacob or Evie wiping the wound like Altair used to do if I’m not mistaken, I think it’s a cool detail. Well, sorry for the long text mate, but I tried to explain the best I could, let me know if ur playing or decided to play syndicate, cheers
For some reason this game visually felt like a downgrade to me back when it released, idk but in 2024 the improvements since unity are very visible. It looks just as good

It's unequal and wrong to shoe horn evie in and take away from Jacob. So beyond the fact I like Jacob better for the game and setting, I feel evie was an example of hypocritical viewpoint in media.
Nah, Unity parkour has more animations and techniques. It lets you get away with WAY more stuff. It's also more fluid. Syndicate is a step down. EDIT: I played Syndicate again and I will say it is faster and more polished but they did away with some mechanics and tricks that you could do in Unity. Not copy and paste by any means though but not an entire step down either.
This was the last game that had decent parkour.

Should i get syndicate? Im rather new to ac only ever finishing unity and playing the rpg 3 and it's kind of similar to unitys parkour
