I mostly believe that she is his bio mom since if they just took the genes like some people tend to theory , then he has to look exactly like her which is not the case since they don't share the same shade of grey hair , shape of eyes and the mole she has under her left eye. Back to the story , Io lived in a hidden place on the outside world with till , she felt affection to him and she wondered if he felt the same love towards her , soon enough , Till started to speak another language that made Io terrfied , in other words .. he started singing. Io felt fear at the fact that the precious baby she was protecting with all love learned the language of death in their world , but even so .. she couldn't bring herself to stop him when she saw how happy Till was , and she started to sing with him , supported him and prayed to god that no matter what will happen , her son will find someone who'll love him and that he'll always be loved until the very end. And one day , what io feared had happend , the aliens found them and separated them , they both tried to reach for eachother but with no result , the aliens killed Io because she was hiding the baby(because at the last slide , it was said that Io never knew until the end that her product's name will be till.) , while they took Till to the very shop he saw ivan in for the first time.
