- If your home doesn't come with a pantry, this is a great project if you have the space!! I paid $275 for these bookcases that would've cost us $460 new. We used the same can of primer and paint we used on the cabinets, got some 2x4's for the vase, 2 boards of MDF for finishing work and 1 1x2 and look at it now! I couldn't believe painting over the glass worked as well as it did!! We will definitely being doing built-ins again in our future 😍

I used kitchen cabinets to build my dream BEDROOM and it came out so well that my daughter asked me to do one for her as well. Then her friends wanted one and before I knew it 3 years later and I have a small business. Kitchen cabinets work so much better than Bedroom cabinets. For one thing they're made of stronger frames and wood. The finishes are phenomenal and more importantly they come with lots of room something that bedroom suites don't. I live in England and we do NOT have walk in closets. I go to every single kitchen cabinet sales and ones that have been sort of damaged and I go to house clearances. I also use wrapping paper as borders on the walls they are cheap and very easy to do
What is border on the walls? I don't know what that means.

Would love to see some of your work via some cheeky shorts.😊 . Glad you and your business is thriving❤
@@HandleForElleJayme too!
Can you do some video shorts? I’m now curious!
Just don't forget that glass is still there. You know in case the kiddos bump into it ect
As a kid I ran into our wall glass cabinet ironically this comment brings back memories lol thank you 😊
Yea that was my same thought. Probably would’ve been better off frosting the glass vs painting it. Just seems like an accident waiting to happen but the outcome was lovely.
Wonder if contact paper from dollar store would reduce the risk 🤔
@@fine2dreamw618 probably on both sides before they painted it🤷🏾♀️
Yep it looks a lot sturdier than it is which can be dangerous. Maybe you can remove the glass altogether and put in some screen?
I like how it’s so shallow. The deeper it goes and things get forgotten at the back. Love it!
Yep just exactly like Bella Horris's comment lmao LMFAO
Absolutely fantastic!!! Don't let Baby bam on the glass!💜🙏🏿👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
That was a professional DIY job, inspiring piece of work.❤
I have to give a special mention to the finisher, the paint job, the amount of people including which I was one for two decades of motivational family DIY, not doing a light sand, primer, undercoat, finish paint colour and paint sealing spray and sealant paint, who skip aspects of the finish and it will all crack and scratch without it.
Humans are inspiring to each other, keep on paying it forward, ignore the media hype, they want to keep us depress and uninspired..
This is the first DIY “make it look built in” video I have ever actually understood. Either you’re a brilliant communicator or I’m starting to know what I’m doing!!
Hello and God Bless and God Loves you but He is coming soon so please form a relationship with and repent for your sins He will save and Forgive you
Please don’t believe in witchcraft Deuteronomy 18:9-12, Exodus 22:18, 1 Samuel 15:23, Leviticus 20:27, Leviticus 19:31, Isaiah 8:19-20
Please don’t believe in luck or karma it means your saying you don’t believe that God planned it when He did
Lastly don’t say God’s name in vain it or blaspheme it means your saying his name has no meaning please say Oh my gosh
Lastly don’t Hold grudges God forgave you so we must forgive other as he forgives uss
You can learn without doing. I'm old we had to buy used books or pester someone that knew how yo tell or show us. I watch many how to videos every day. I'm 67 now branching out to more creative crafts. My main hobby gas Bern sewing 62 years! I watching sewing videos on fastest speed even if sped up. I also like ge entire used, recycle trend.
@@retroredo9850 That's why most young people just settled for cinderblocks and planks. Hey they were cool! ;)
@@bellahorris7165 WHAT 🤷🏼♀️. God is everywhere watching over us ALL 💜☮️
@@bellahorris7165 oh my fucking god this is so annoying. Using gods name in vain doesn't even mean what you're saying it does. It means not to use god as an excuse/reason for behaving certain ways.
This is the most beautiful pantry I have ever seen. Having a pantry is so special. I used to not have a pantry and now I do and I absolutely treasure it. Yours looks better than mine, but hey like I said just having one is so helpful. You are going to love using it everyday.
Yes! That turned out awesome! I love ❤️ me some Ikea!
This is freaking brilliant! I’ve always wanted a pantry in my house bc I miss the one at my old house even tho it wasn’t a walk-in. But something like this is perfect. It doesn’t stick out far or take up a lot of floor space. Thank u for the video! And even tho u didn’t help your man with the initial process u at least tried and that means everything in a healthy relationship. But u did the most important job of making sure the baby was all good and that right there is team work! I’m subscribing bc I absolutely love this!
All you have to do is use kitchen cabinets just like they’re using this.

Wish you'd talked about how you finished the top. Wonderful outcome 👍🏼
Yeah that’s what I was wondering about too!
This! That was never addressed. That’s a major component.
Agreed
Looks like it literally belongs right there! Y’all nailed it 😂
Yes it does 🌟🌟🌟 oo
Beautiful sweetheart 😘😘😘😘😘😘
looks good 😊
Your hubby is da bomb! 👌🏾
Teamwork makes the dream work. You guys are awesome! *hugs
🤣🙌🏻💋I love the way you said “someone needs to hold the baby!”
And sudden look on bb face
Yeah and "HE" does the rest...
When you move a cabinet like this, remove the doors.
It's super easy, and saves a LOT of weight while you move the thing into place;
Those door hinges...
You can clip those loose from the back side (inside the cabinet) with 1 finger.
> [Be sure to hold the door securely. Or have someone help you.]
When you've moved the cabinet to its new location, hold the door so the hinges line up;
then just kind of slide the 2 hinge parts back together - (it'll make sense - feels like they hook together a little),
and press on the side of the hinge until you hear a click.
Repeat for all 3 hinges.
Boom, you're done!
-
On the design: I really love how it looks built in. The 2x4 frame to lift it - definitely gonna try that!
-
As for the GLASS...
Seriously: replace that with some thin plywood.
Especially with the little kid. Once she starts walking and racing around on a little car or horse with wheels...
That's a really dangerous hidden feature..
I went through a glass panel beside a door when I was little.
Literally: lucky to be alive.
(Also: a friend of a friend fell through a glass door at adult age - let's just say the ambulance came too late...
Seriously: plywood. Don't risk it.)
That looks soooo darn good!!! It looks like it was meant to be there! Awesome job!
Absolutely beautiful DIY!!
You Totally transformed it into an upscale wall! Beautiful job!
This is one of the most cleaver additions I’ve seen lately!
A meat cleaver addition?
It's very knife.
You guys are a wonderful family team😂😂😂❤❤❤😊😊😊
This is fantastic. Great idea, and awesome content. I’m currently redoing my kitchen, and this is absolutely perfect for my spices, and pantry items that aren’t too heavy. I was watching while on hold with the phone company…so, I didn’t see if y’all reinforced it, or not. I’m definitely going to go back and watch again when I can hear it better. I tend to store things in canning jars, so I’m definitely going to try and make sure the shelves can stand up to the abuse, lol. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
What an upgrade!! It compliments your kitchen so well.
Love it
Y'all did an excellent job
*completement (arrrrrgh!! i. couldn't. help. it!!)
Aww such a beautiful couple with an adorable baby 😍 The pantry is pretty too
I played this for my husband because I’m constantly right behind him going ‘let me help, I can help, it’ll be easier if I help.’ It’s never easier, he just lets me “help” for a moment because he loves me, and then when something distracts me in another direction he gets back to work 😂
Sweet that you recognize that he does it because he loves you.😊
Aw
So sweet 💝😘 & special. Cool husband helper ☺️
At least he can't say you didn't try to help. Lol.
I'm lip is pukering out on one side. That's my "Awwwwwh" moment.
Okay. I'm all good now!
Hey I'd be terrified somebody might hit my cabinet but I'll tell you what this was beautiful and I was amazed at what y'all did and this is so cool God I would love to make something like this and on top of it you could have painted it what you did or you could have just left it regular or you could have replaced it with some more wood and you can always do that if any of the glass ever gets broke you guys can just fill it in with plywood man this is amazing I love what you did and it looks so good wow you had a good kitchen before now you got a beautiful kitchen y'all did a great job your husband's amazing thank you for sharing this and God bless
😮🤭wow that's beautiful love it😽💖
Your voiceover was HILARIOUS! 😂 Great job by the way, it looks perfect! 🎉🙌
Me: “let me hold the baby”. 🥰. So adorable. That food cabinet is amazing. I think I know the next project for my husband.
Very nice!!! Appreciate the honesty on the work you did not do and what you did. You both have great teamwork!
The transformation is insane! Beautiful!
Great job guys, wegetter done on a budget . The only thing I may have considered doing different would have made more space in between the 2 cabinets maybe 4" to 6" wider that would pull out for a spice rack,
Maybe two,a upper and lower with push to open hardware one could build this so as it appears seamless. Just a thought, I've seen this done and it works great for all your smaller and odd size spices and such, depending on how you design and build it. Thanks taking time and sharing your clever upgrade.

SUCH A GREAT JOB BY YOU THREE 👁️👁️ 😁 AND SO CREATIVE , LOOKING FABULOUS 🤩👋🤗!!!
Looks amazing. I'm too clumsy to paint the glass though. I would forget its glass and end up breaking it.
Same, i would've just put that frosted looking window cling or something to kinda hide things but keep it looking like glass
@@Koreacasian that's better actually
Peel and stick wallpaper, or paint the inside of the glass and not outside? Mmmm many ideas comming 😁
What glass lol. Isn’t that the door. You think someone will walk into it
U mean a tub? Just keep the view of the stars. That's why the magic.
WOW! What an incredible transformation! Nice to have someone willing to do the work! Beautiful!
Smart and beautiful! You and the built in pantry! Your baby is adorable too!😊👍👏
Fabulous!! Team work makes dream work. Love the ingenuity, industry, and collaboration in this family. 🎉
Great job you guys.It looks great and gives it that High end look.
Great job 👏🏽 👍🏾 looks nice too! 👌🏾
I love this! I did something very similar in my own kitchen but using pax wardrobes instead.and fitted them floor to ceiling for a pantry.
Beautiful
That looks so wonderful good 👍🏽 job
Love what you did! Looks very professional! ❤️❤️
U had me at: "But hey, somebody's gotta hold the baby" 🥰
Super cute baby!!! Oh and the pantry is very nice too😊😊❤❤
I absolutely LOVE your project!!! Beautiful fit looks perfect on there!!!!! 👍
omg i have those same
and i took glass doors off cause i didn’t like them… painting them
Brilliant!! why not
Looks really nice great job looks like it has always been there
Absolutely gorgeous! I love that you were so resourceful - when you’re finished it makes you feel EXTRA good! BRAVO!!🎉🙌🏻

Beautiful! ❤ I know how much work that was for you guys, that's beautiful❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I I never would have thought to paint the glass! Looks fab
It’s so awesome to have a man who can do that. It looks awesome! Great job!
Not to mention what she does!
So amazing!! He is very talented!!!
I wish my hubby was more handy- he more business man dress shirts etc. However he always hire someone to fix big projects for the house. He don’t mind spending and I am happy. It’s all good. 😊💕

Ima you CAN do these things as well. I sincerely offer to teach you. Don't let these things have the power.💗
Omg, id hold your baby all day, any day 😭❤ so precious!!!
This turned out fantastic!
Way to think outside of the box literally creative frugal way to help save our planet and I can't tell you how beautiful it really looks
I WOULD TOO . HOLD THE BABY 👶 ALL DAY.❣
❤❤❤🥰👍 for the cuteness of baby, mom’s beautiful smile and willingness help, dad’s patience and ingenuity and masculinity.. all coming together to create a beautiful home and an American ! looking pantryz😊
Nice job
I love this! You both did a beautiful job!
That’s looks really nice! 👍🏾
well done both of you! looks really good. great job
Wow! Thank you for actually talking through all of the steps! I was literally thinking today that I was so frustrated with diy influencers who post "how to" videos but leave out all the little steps. This is seriously actually helpful! Thank you thank you! It's also super gorgeous! I never thought of just painting glass. Genius!
Wow looks AMAZING. 👍👏👏👍
Excellent job !!!
Love it. Especially the part "he ended up doing it himself"
my bf: eyeroll
I don't understand?
It looks great. What a cute couple you are with a cute baby.. Awww 👏🏻👏🏻💚😊
Lmfao I'm ded "babe pls let me help it's supposed to me my video. Whoops nevermind"
Beautiful work done!!!
loved your diy pantry!
Lovely and it’s so good for you all to work together to build your home!
That looks fabulous!! I’m going to try to make it also. Cuz I have no side walls to use like You didn’t either. Thanks. I liked how you explained on how you did yours. Blessed I am that I found this. Thank You for sharing!!!! 😎👍🏼
That is beautiful work. I love the depth.
That’s what I was thinking. You’d be able to keep things in good order and not “ find” things clear in the back months down the road.
This was beautiful!❤
BEST DIY hack ever!!!! Great job!
That look he gives her when he lets her try to help lift the bookcase. 👌👌👌
Looks really nice I personally would have kept the glass I know most ppl don't want to see what's inside but I think it looks great either way 😊
Nothing sexier than a man that can fix things and build things.
Right? 😊
That’s easy, but then where all the ladies at? 😂
Nothing unsexier than a man who can fix things and build things but doesn't, unless it's something he wants for his mancave.
Excellent results!
You’re amazingly genuine! It is refreshing - keep up the good work 👍🏼
Great job, very motivating. Would like to see how you do the top, probably the most challenging as far as measuring, bracing and trim. Keep up the great vids.
I would have frosted the glass and added low volt puck lights. Gorgeous ambient light at night and useful when searching for your favorite yummies.
I agree
True! Good idea. Maybe it is too late?
This is the type of thing I have in mind to do in our home but I know I won't be able to do it by myself and/or don't have the energy for. It looks amazing. I'm jealous.
BEAUTIFUL!!! What an AMAZING IDEA!!!!
So beautiful! And diy to boot!!! Great job y’all! 🎉
Awww I liked the glass doors. To each their own 🤷🏽♀️
Me too! But i think by having the glass opaque it allows you to not worry about the inside being perfectly neat ?
Lol the fact he was like “no quit helping, it’ll make it harder” is such a guy thing 🤧 sometimes I just wanna show off how helpful I can be be but my bf has to be like “no 🤚 enough. Let me do it.”
This is amazing! I love that you took something and made it your own. It gives me hope that I can make a beautiful space without having to spend hundreds
looks neat!!!
Wow! Absolutely gorgeous and amazing
Never thought of painting the glass! Great idea
I think it also comes off fairly easy if you want to change it back.
Great idea until you or someone in your family forgets it's glass.
Is the paint still on the glass yet?
Not a good idea tho. Most ppl close cabinets with an open hand and softly slam
them. Someone can put their hand through it not knowing it’s glass, especially kids and teens. My friends son breaks everything.
Changing out the glass for plywood is safer.
This is absolutely an amazing transformation.
I appreciate your honesty. My wife occasionally films me doing DIY stuff. One day she put it up on IG talking about "we" did this. I was like oh she must be French now because we didn't do shit. I did and she watched lol
I am a woman and a diyer and I completely agree with and approve this comment! Nothing more irking than hearing a female recorder including herself in the job getting done and she keeps saying "we" when all I see is he (him doing the job, he rhymes though!🥰)
Absolutely Gorgeous 😍 ❤
Thats such a great vision n job!!
It's awesome but between the 2 cupboards I would made room for spices but it's Westmeath and your humor is amazing!!! Totally wanna so this in my house
I can’t believe you painted the glass. I guess if that’s how you like it, to each their own. I would love to have my pantry visible through glass.
Well Dexter, exactly like you said: "to each his, or her own". I'd have to have it painted, or mirrors, or gold leaf, etc. Never plain, clear, glass. At least smoked. But that is just me.
It looks really nice! Chingón quedó 💯👏🏻👍🏼
That's amazing nice work!
Fantastic!! Great job, looks amazing! 🤩
Looks fantastic!! Job well done! I love it!❤
