@@danyelleiman2248 mostly in Gresham...after WW2 a lot of black vets and people from the east moved to Oregon and settled in Vanport, Oregon (which is now where PIR; Portland International Raceway is) it was a huge town of majority black folk with their own hospital, doctor offices, super markets, a booming town. Then the flood happened, those in charge said the town would be safe but the levee broke and flooded the whole town. All them folks had to leave and went to Portland and then slowly through gentrification has pushed black folk further and further out...now the majority of black folk are in Gresham...I live in Beaverton which is just outside Portland and whenever I see another black person it's like oh shit! What's good!?!?
Johnny got the best food in Portland! Y’all check out everybody eats. I love how instachef is supporting these Black Businesses. Especially the ones on this episode because even though they are big locally they are more underground. This shows that instachef has their ear to the street

I didn't know the significance of that until now when lo and behold this comes up on my suggested videos and I realize my man made it big!! hell yeah!
This was absolutely beautiful! I love how food brought these beautiful black men together. Cliff, the host was like a teddy bear and the first chef, Chef Rojo, was very prepared! I grew up in the 503, bumped 40 water since a youngin & went to highschool with Cool Nutz who they mentioned... I now live in ATL (for over 10 years) & still spittin that TRUTH music. I miss the FOODIE culture out west but I love it here too. Love the YAY/pray/ bay area. Like home away from home.
