    I followed your instructions _exactly_ and every time I did it, no matter how well, they always *knew* I was forcing a card on them. I don't mean to criticise, but I suspect the trick would work a lot better if you _don't_ write *force card* on the card. Just sayin'...

    I know this video was made 3 years ago but I just wanted to say that this video really helped me take my magic to the next level. the single greatest easy force in my opinion is a variation of the last force in this video where instead of taking the force card from the top, you peel it off the bottom while under the cover of the fan. this one also works great because you can very easily peek the bottom card between tricks.

  • @gurk2k

    That subtle part with spreading the cards with the finger where they say stop is insane! It completely sells it. So good! Turn over pass after a selection, swingcut ”say stop”, riffle and then that move. Priceless faces! Thank you Chris!

  • @remb9614
    @remb9614 5 років тому +10

    The third is my favorite because you literally stop on the card when someone says stop. No skipping forward or dropping extra cards that someone could catch you on.

    Thanks Chris! I love the 3rd one. I do the classic force mostly, but sometimes it gets hard to do on certain people. I'm not a fan of riffle forces, but it's cool how well they work!

  • @asisgonzalez1468
    @asisgonzalez1468 7 років тому +2

    I use the second and third ones and are really effective. I actually prefer the classic force, which is almost undetectable but sometimes it fails, and when it does I do another trick with the new selected card and then use one of these to try the force again, it's flawless if you practice

  • @markknight7332

    Hey awesome work. Been cutting cards for about 3 months and I just learned something new!!!! I like it when the force card is on top, you kiddy cut and grab a break above the force. Then dribble. I have the spectator or would like the spectator to take the force too. Have them put it back- grab a break and pass the card to the top. Cheers mate! Great vids great attitude... Great teaching style 😎

    I have been using the last one for the most part. But my all time favorite is the one where you riffle through the cards with the faces facing the spectator and then simply tell them to choose a card they see. The one used in the beginning of the movie "Now you see me"

  • @KinnereyB
    @KinnereyB 4 роки тому

    I’ve used all 3 of these for years and to this day they’re go to forces. With just a bit of practice it’ll be second nature and unlike the classic force, they’re 100%ers! TY for teaching these Chris! Magicians who didn’t know any one of these will love using them 👍🏻

  • @persona2grata
    @persona2grata 11 місяців тому

    You can always tell how practiced someone is by how they handle the cards in between the important moments. That is to say, even if I could perform these forces perfectly, in between the important bits I would be fumbling slightly with the cards while he is almost negligently smooth, because his muscle memory is so strong and fluid handling cards. It's impressive.

  • @Hazral
    @Hazral 4 роки тому +2

    Thanks for the vid. The second force is so genious omg :D love it. A tip for the third force. For me its a looooot easier if the force card is on the bottom and when you spred the cards you just shove it over the fan and force it. Pretty the same youre doin but without the casualties bringing the top to the bottom while doing the fan.

    • @jdkanuch2790

      I know it's a year later, but I saw this comment and am wondering if you could explain "when you spread the cards you just shove it over the fan and force it". I'm having a hard time envisioning this and would love to know since this seems sneaky. Thanks.

  • @GameChaser2011
    @GameChaser2011 7 років тому

    Love that subtlety on the riffle force, I'll work on it. I am an amateur magician and the riffle force is my go-to. Laymen never expect anything, I just break on a card 2/3 or 3/4 the way down the deck, riffle slowly, they say stop and I lift to the break and kill my wrist so they can't see the other packet. I feel like this little subtlety could allow me to be a little less sneaky about it, if that'll improve my performance.

    Good video. I have used that last force in some of my tricks I invented. I invented a move that is almost like that but it is a swap. I slide the top card off so it is hidden in my palm then fan the cards over my palmed card, and ask them to say stop. once they stop me I can flip the top fanned part of deck over, to show them the card that they actually chose with out showing the palmed card, then I turn the fan back over and secretly slide the palmed card under the card they chose so their card is no longer at the bottom. The effect is almost the same as a double lift but done from the bottom of the deck. They will swear that the bottom of the cut is their card , but it is not.

    I'd just liket o say thank you for your videos. I've always had like an anxiety thing where the only way i can feel comfortable is if i'm playing with something in my hands. So i've always had a deck of playing cards that i just take out of my pocket and shuffle them whenever i'm getting ready for a work shift (I work in a very busy bar). A couple of weeks a go a few customers asked me if i knew any "tricks" i said no i'm not a magician but i knew about two. But thanks to you and your videos i have think i've found a new passion and a love for cards in general so thank you very much.
    TL;DR You helped turn my anxious tick into a passion.

      Like what? I don't see any problem with that as an out for the classic force. Depending on the effect, if you miss with the classic force, you can control and peek the card or just control it and do a different effect and use a different force to lead into the originally planned effect.
