Shad fishing is always not crowded at Feather River due to the lack of fishermen. It was a great day with not many people around.

Lots of fish, I went American river two times but not much luck, I live in Hayward it's hard to fishing up there, would you let me know which part of feather river please, I like to fishing last trip for this year. Thanks.

Shad are everywhere during this time. It's just easier to go fishing on weekdays for fewer fishermen. The place is very common at Feather River, It's called The Feather River Outlet.
