Native French here, and I also have a pretty decent English level. The accuracy of the translation is 90% correct. The Asian is definitely not a native because of the tone he used to speak french and also the phonetic problem. In contrast, the Nun translation was just perfect in every aspect.
Side Note: As funny and action like as this movie is I never considered how good the interigation tactic of 'Pulling the trigger when challenged only to find out there's no bullets in the gun' is. It show's he's willing to kill him at a moments notice and then when he see's there's no bullets actually loads it and now the guy knows this is for real, strangly good writing.
Shooting the gun without knowing the bullets are empty is actually an absolutely genius way to scare someone. You know what, I've dreamed about a torture method once, where you're completely sealed in a box, and they would shoot you with guns, except it's just the sound of guns being shot and you never know when or where you'll get hit.
And the nun praying for him ramps up his panic even further. It doesn't set in that they're actually going to kill him until the nun starts chanting his last rites, and then he breaks.
I think because Lee barely said anything during the interrogation so the dude tried to jab him by attacking his masculinity, while Carter was more "yo mama" joke

When Carter pulled the trigger, that’s when thug realized that he was in deep with someone crazy. It was probably intentional for Lee to give Carter the gun without the clip. If they killed him, they would have just had a corpse and no real leads.
