    why is there two drain bolts?

    • @CoteMotorcycles
      @CoteMotorcycles  Рік тому

      It’s a dry sump system so you need to drain the oil that didn’t make it out of the crankcase as well as the oil reservoir. Supposedly saves more power than a motor having to spin its crankshaft through a puddle of oil.

      If you’re in a hurry, give the dealership a call. They’ll have washers and be able to tell you what size. You can reuse the washers if they’re not to badly crushed. Don’t over tighten them, lightly seat the bolt and then give it 1/4 turn. 15 to 17ft/lbs torque

    • @CoteMotorcycles
      @CoteMotorcycles  2 роки тому +2

      Never pull the dipstick on anything when a vehicle is running. Run the bike for a few minutes, kill it and then check the level after a minute or so. Aim for right in between the upper and lower level mark.
      The ONLY time you’d do that is to check transmission fluid on a car or truck. : )
